19:25 THAT PART! 💯💯💯 I've been working in healthcare for 15 years and after COVID I learned just how valuable I am and I refuse to put up with anymore ultimatums and gaslighting in order to keep a job that has proven that they do not value me which is why I'm pursuing an MBA and eventually a doctoral degree. That part of the video is something, regardless of where you are in school or what your current job is or future job will be, it is important to understand your value and what all you bring to the organization.

The biggest mistake I made was NOT negotiating my salary my first job right out of college..I was paid 42,000 dollars for a job I could have easily been making 60,000 dollars....GUYS NEGOTIATE....counter their offer

Great video and helpful tips, thank you!
I was confused at 19:09-19:14 when you mention that tuition reimbursement is taken from our paychecks. I never knew it worked that way.

Hi thanks for watching! I meant that when you do tuition reimbursement you would initially use your check to pay for it and then your employer will reimburse you depending on their reimbursement requirements. All the best!

Hi Dr Owie, if I have a pre planned vacation, in which stage should I mention it to the HR? When I negotiating the salary? Or after I have negotiated and signed the offer letter? Thank You!

Hi, thanks for watching. The best time to share your pre planned vacation is when you are in discussion of your anticipated start date with the HR team. By this time, you may have already accepted and signed the job offer. All the best!

What about receiving an undesirable salary "range" prior to the interview. Would you advise taking the interview and subsequently negotiating if an offer is extended?

Hi, Online degrees are credible as long as the university and the degree program are accredited.

Dr Owie...should interns negotiate salaries too? I am curerntly doing my MBA in Healthcare management and I am currently applying for Administrative internship positions for the coming summer..,,as an intern, should I negotiate salaries too?

Hi @christopherreed3019 this is a good question. I don't recommend you negotiating your internship salary. Most internships are unpaid. More importantly, internships are used to help candidates meet one of the following criteria: a school requirement, opportunity to gain experience, or the opportunity to land a full-time job within the internship organization.
