      what AMD is doing is testing how to get GPU LIMITED they aren't testing the CPU's at all there, if they did they would use a 4090 to avoid as much GPU bottleneck as possible... but they all do such shady stuff... always go to independant reviewers... Gamers Nexus and Hardware Unboxed for me, for good trustworthy reviews.

    7:08 - To be fair, someone who started with a 12400f, and wanted an upgrade might look at the 13700k....and already have DDR4. Or they can get a Cheap B350 on EBAY and toss in a 5900XT for about the same performance as just a CPU upgrade, and you keep the RAM.
    Tho, if you're going to switch platforms, why not go AM5?
    5900XT makes more sense for someone who has a 3900x or 3950x, and wants more gaming performance, so it's a simple upgrade.
    Surprised by the low-clocks tho, my 5900x hits 4.9Ghz pretty consistently with PBO. Maybe these XT's will be good for 5.0 or 5.1Ghz?
    I don't think the gaming performance on these are going to touch any of the x3D chips tho....

    I think they were going for by using the same ram and a rx6600 is to show a decrease in frame time due to cpu processing power. if gpu is maxed to 100% usage most of the time then the only thing that can increase FPS is data transfer rate via pcie lanes and cpu scheduling. The slides say "all results are 'up to' see ......" which maybe implies the highest fps recorded not average fps. It is unclear though on exactly what they were trying to show and is pretty ambiguous on the wording.

  • @Tiki832

    I get the uncertainty when it comes to the 5900XT result, but with the 5800XT performance at least when you then have it performing better than the 13600KF, you can't really claim that the GPU is bottlenecking results.
    Because if the GPU was bottlenecking the results, then the 5800XT wouldn't be seeing any performance advantages.

    I think you're dead on with most things int he video. I agree with test system notes. But why does the native video performance of a 6600 destroy the 7600, but the 7600 gets a much better frame generator or upscaling. Most people buying the 5900xt are not buying the 4090, so your rant is slightly disconnected. I also agree the b660 was ridiculous.

  • @Barb4sale
    @Barb4sale 5 місяців тому +2

    Call it for what it is. It isn't misleading either.. If they show you the literal testing methodology it by definition can not be misleading. They are manipulating the testing methodology to benefit their AMD product, they are purposely bottlenecking the GPU so the CPU can't be stressed and because the INTEL CPU runs faster when there is GPU overhead, they come ahead..

    • @bujfvjg7222
      @bujfvjg7222 5 місяців тому +1

      I think you are misled. By bottlenecking a GPU, the CPU usage is lower since the processor isn't being asked by the GPU to ready frame data.
      The less GPU bottlenecking you have, the higher CPU usage. It's common sense, but even for a simpleton in layman's terms...

    • @Barb4sale
      @Barb4sale 5 місяців тому

      @@bujfvjg7222 Re-read what I typed, you literally just repeated what I said.
      They are using a shit GPU to bottleneck, so the CPU usage is lower, on purpose - that way the intel CPU can't overtake the AMD one or perform close to it, because it's faster than the AMD with more GPU headroom.

    • @EGOTheSpartan
      @EGOTheSpartan 2 місяці тому

      It isn't just that the problem. Intel is usually able to use ram much more effectively and with higher frequencies easily. Most AMD Ryzen CPUs struggle hard to even get past 3200-3600mhz. I wouldn't be surprised to see most of those I7 or I9 getting past 4400mhz easily. And these tests compare both AMD and Intel chips running 3200mhz. And I am not even taking DDR5 into consideration.

  • @wayneosman8971
    @wayneosman8971 3 місяці тому

    I have both. Updating ASUS Maximus Z690 Hero bios only set the Base clock speed to the latest INTEL requirement of 3400MGHz W/Zero chance to overclock because they took XMP off on the latest Bios update for July 2024. AND Intel might never fix their 13th and or14th gen processors. I also use an MSI MEG B550 Unify X AMD 5900X PC4000 W/auto clocked at 4700MGHz. I know both systems work fine without overclocking. Hype from one CPU manufacturer to another is nothing more than BS. I gave you a Like for great reporting and hope there will be more.
    Final note I always remind people that I build PC's for to bring them in for BIOS updates at least once a year or ask them to do it themselves especially for newer model motherboards. As for Intel they will squirm out of any responsibility and just move on to another Generation Processor using their 2 year cycle. Leaving all who buy their products screwed. As for AMD's ZEN Platform they are still devoting time and money to their customers for a few more years. I think that alone is worth more than INTEL ever did.

    A lie and cherry picking testing is two different things. The benchmarks were cherry picked and missleading to a degree. Everybody is doing it. And its annoying. AMD didnt need to do that. Its quite awhile when AMD did this. Usually they are sandbagging for their CPUs (last 2 launches).
    The same thing can be said about reviewers placing best CPU possible for GPU reviews (or best GPU for CPU reviews). It also missleads massively customers. For some reason very little people talk about nvidia driver overhead issues which are masked under having top of the line CPUs rather matching CPU (like 12600k/5700x for rx 6800xt/3070ti tier GPU)
