    I guess my comment on this is I have 125H is one for my electronics and the starter. I used it half a day hardly used any energy but that being said my trolling motor Minnkota 24 V I have two 125AH is doubled up in surgeries for 24 V. I wanna Lake Michigan to see how hard I can push it through the waves wind everything I got five hours only out of them when they stopped working I’m sure on a regular lake regular conditions. Yeah, you got days of power, but under hard conditions for a long period of time trolling had a good pace not so much.

      That's awesome. It was tough for me. I just had to make more runs throughout the day to keep it charged. Now, I have zero worries.

      I would contact lithium hub before purchasing them.But they have all the info for you. But if I had to guess, they will have something for you and if they do, I guarantee you you'll love them.

    Why not just get 3 of the 125AH? Same size and only a little more money. Why go 100ah for the troller?

    • @bassnwbuddy2617
      @bassnwbuddy2617  Рік тому +1

      I thought about it but the guys over at Wetumpka Marine said the 2 100ah is already beyond great foe the ultrex 80lb.

      WOW... Thy T-Hunter commenting on my videos. Thats cool. Anyway, YES SIR, these batteries will practically start anything. Not only will it start it but it will run all your other accessories all day. Such as your live well, lights, bilge and fish finders. Hope this helped. I'll be keeping an eye on Colorado this year. Hope yall kill it. 🙌🙌👊

    Did you run all your electronics to your fuse panel on boat or did you run dedicated wire to cranking battery

  • @James-bb2ke
    @James-bb2ke 10 місяців тому +1

    Stupid question, but I have heard talk that these batteries cause boats to loose top end speed. Anybody had any issues with that?

    • @bassnwbuddy2617
      @bassnwbuddy2617  10 місяців тому +1

      Actually it's a great question. Also, it's all lithium batteries that cause this. The boats hul is actually designed to have heavy batteries in it. With that said, changing the weight alters how the boat sits in the water and in exchange it may alter the speed a bit. I took out 3 31agm batteries in exchange for three lithiums. Some pros have 5 to 6 lithiums, so the weight may have stay the same for them. I'm not totally sure though. Hope that helped.

    I am going with the same set up on my Ranger. My Helix graphs shut off when I start the motor on my current 31 group size lead acid battery even with a 10 guage dedicated wire from battery to graphs. Do you have any issures with the current 125 amp Ionic battery wired to both electronics and starter motor?
    Thanks

    Is there anything special you need to do with the 125ah battery as it relates to the alternator charging it like an adapter? or is it literally as easy as disconnecting your agm battery and reconnecting the lithium battery in it's place?

      That's right. The cranking battery (ionic 125ah) is the only one that I wanted to test. I wanted to see if that one battery could manage an entire day of fishing with all my electronics. I used the other two for my trolling motor and they did amazing. But the video was just for that one battery.

    When you went lithium for the accessories and starting motor i’m curious can your boat motor charge that lithium battery or did you have to do something different? I’m sure it’s tied in with the other two with a charger but is it OK for your boat motor to charge that lithium battery?

      Great question. Before I bought the batteries I reached out to Mercury and asked a bunch of questions. The week before I called they passed lithium batteries to be used for the cranking battery. I did not ask this question but my lithium batteries do charge while running. Before the purchase of the batteries I talked to the lithium company and asked them if theres anything I need to worry about and they said no.I have a video on it as well. It should be the video with the batteries and a green battery🔋 on the thumbnail talking about how fast with they charge. Feel free to check it out.

      Appreciate the quick response.. i’ve got some decisions to make this spring. I am old-school fisherman, I run Minn Kota 36 volt Ulterra with 2/ TI2 Lowrance finders . I run 4 AGM batteries. With the Ulterra I don’t want to run a bunch of stuff off of it to have live scope. It looks too messy, but on the other hand, I don’t want to add an extra pole upfront . I would like to upgrade everything trolling motor, electronics and batteries. There’s just so many selections out there it’s making it impossible..

    Do the ionic 12v 125ah batteries come with a charger or sold separately?

    • @bassnwbuddy2617
      @bassnwbuddy2617  Рік тому +1

      They are sold separately. If you have a boat charger already like I did, my Noco Genius actually chargers lithium batteries so I didn't have to purchase a new one. If you don't have a charger yet I highly recommend NOCO Genious. Mines a NOCO Gen Pro.

      @Bassn w Buddy why are some people on forums saying u can't use lithiums for cranking unless it's a special lithium cranking battery? I'm probably ordering the same exact kit u have.

      @Power Fishing PA Mercury recently OK'd lithium batteries for cranking. Before I bought them I contacted Mercury to make sure it was safe and it didn't void the warranty. They said it's perfectly fine.
