    I run the Ionic 30ah for my watersnake trolling motor on my kayak and it is awesome. I love the bluetooth to be able to keep an eye on the remaining charge. So cool.

    Great Vid. I wired mine a bit different tho. I wired mine so Crank Battery starts motor. Alternator charges Cranking battery in about 10 seconds. From there I have a DVSR > DCDC Charger > House Battery (also Lithium). So once cranking battery is charged, DVSR opens, and the DCDC Charger starts charging my House Battery (This battery runs 2x Graphs + Livescope, Live-wells, Deck Lights etc). Because Lithium recharges so quickly, even after a full 10 - 12hrs on the water, by the time I drive back to the dock battery is back upto ~90 - 95% (or more) charged. By the time I flush the motor at home its at 100%. I highly recommend this setup with lithiums - I haven't had to recharge my battery since I bought it!

      I will say, fished a evening tournamnet a couple days ago. First time out with them. I left the ramp with 99 percent charge on the cranking/electronics battery. When we pulled in four hours later that same battery was 100 percent charged. Lithiums charge so much faster that the alternator can put plenty of juice back in it

    i am thinking of getting the 125ah dual purpose for my 175hp mercury outboard. how is it been working out for you so far?? and can i run these in parallel as both cranking and electronics for double the reserve power

    I've been wanting to get a lithium ion battery for my graph on my kayak. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

    My Hummingbird Helix's shut down when I start motor due to voltage drop. Does this happen to you with your new Lithiums?

    • @OneCastFishing
      @OneCastFishing  Рік тому

      Yes it has. But I run my units at the console on standby when I’m not idling with the big motor. I start the engine and they come right out of standby

      Not sure when I will get to update video. Life takes over. But best purchase I have made. Can go several days without needing to charge. I fished an all day summer tournament and returned with 90 percent charge on my cranking/electronics battery

    might be a stupid question, but does the big motor charge the batteries while running it?

    • @OneCastFishing
      @OneCastFishing  3 роки тому

      The big motor charges the one I use for cranking and electronics.

    • @donlewis8171
      @donlewis8171 2 роки тому

      yes, but people make the mistake assuming just because the engine is running it's charging at full capacity. If the cranking battery is weak, you need to run the engine at 3000 + RPM'S before it begins charging the battery properly.

    How are they holding up. I have four helix 10s, Mega 360 and mega Live. Do you think that 125ah will hold up?

    • @OneCastFishing
      @OneCastFishing  Рік тому +1

      I’ve had no issues. I believe the mega live pulls less amps than livescope. You should be good

    Can you show what charger you using

  • @curtdrangsholt1132
    @curtdrangsholt1132 2 роки тому

    Your batteries are fine, you probably never took a amp probe to see what your actual draw is. You just gave the spec of what the units are capable of which rarely pulls and only for a short duration of time. Yes you have piece of mind of never running out now for 2-3 days but did you really have” issues” with your batteries not cutting it for you. No
