Like your channel what river are you fishing?
@christophercombs8464 thank you, I appreciate that. It's the Black Warrior River in Alabama. The section is in the Cottondale area near tuscaloosa. We call the section of the river Holt. Thanks again for watching, tight Lines my friend. 🙌🙌🙌
It looks like you found a pile f them. I went out to holt today and didn’t catch many. Everyone I talked to said they weren’t biting today.
What a spot! Nice fish
Thats what's a chunk of a spotted bass congrats 👍
yooooo nice catch +1 sub
@Pathelon awesome 👌 I appreciate the follow 🙌🙌🙌

@CECILIOWilson I appreciate you watching, thanks for the follow. Maybe I'll see you soon Cecilio 🙌🙌🙌
Spotted bass… nah, more like largemouth bass
@LeviYang-q7l that mouth made me think it was a cross bread between spotted bass and largemouth. His mouth was really big.
Nice One fam🎣
I’m looking forward to your next vid, do you fish Lanier a lot
I’ve never seen someone catch 2 bass at a time
👏
@HenryMaran-km2kh since I've been using live sonar, these spotted bass will literally follow the hooked fish all the way to the boat. I saw them following this time and decided to just give it a try, and it worked. It was fun.
Never seen a spot with a mouth like that.
Max towing trucks is two wheel drive
Would be great to see bait tracking on ML1 after last update. Is it any improve. Thanks.
@@ramunasjuodeska1475 what version do you have
I fixed my mega live settings by getting a Garmin LVS34...100% better in every way, I was shocked....
@creitsma I was out yesterday with a friend that has the Garmin LVS34 and a 16 inch monitor and it was pretty amazing.
Thanks for the video; I have a Solix G3 and I am waiting for the ML2 to arrive in Australia in late January 25. I've never seen a bass; honestly, they don't interest me. However, the techniques used to catch them are relevant to the Giant Murray Cod I fish for, I use big swim baits and soft plastics, I also fish for perch, which are decent-sized fish 10+ pounders are rare.
@louisbailey-118 Thank you, I appreciate you watching. I'll probably ly get Mega Live 2 sometime soon. The videos I've seen seem like they nailed it. I hope you catch all the Cid when you get you ML2. Hopefully, some of these tips will come in handy. Tight Lines and thanks again for watching. 🙌🙌🙌
Man i love that sound..line being pulled
I I just purchased Mega Live but it's too cold to fish. It looks like you have target lock. Isn't that separate from your trolling motor? I thought that was the whole idea so that you could take your foot off of the trolling motor. I can't wait to try it out and I hope it's as clear as yours. Thanks for the video
@steveodonnell2921 Thanks for watching. You will love it. I have MEGA Live 1, and it does its job. Bait tracking, seeing fish, locating structure. I don't have to see the fishes fins and eyeballs. It does an amazing job. Once you get on the water and have questions, hit me up, and I'll try my best to help.
@bassnwbuddy2617 I also have Mega 1 because I bought 2 new helix units about 4 months ago. I guess that's ok since I don't really have anything to compare it to. I appreciate it
Any good tip for Garmin I have trouble seeing my splash ?
@tedguillory7787 If all of your settings are the way you want, I would adjust the angle of your transducer. Maybe angle it up a degree at a time until you see the splash.
Dang man. You’ve been wearing them out. I won’t to go so bad but I never have time anymore. I’ve only been once October. Do they ever hit that top jig?
@@ntj030885 I've been trying. I hate that you haven't been. I have yet to get them to hit it. I actually have it rigged for some spotted bass.
@ man those spotted bass are my favorite. That have so much fight.
video shows 701MFS and link is the 731 is that an error.
What's happening man. It is an error. The rod I showed was a 7ft rod and the link puts you on a 7ft 3inch rod. I actually use both of them. The 7'3ft will actually be a bit better if you want further casts. I'll try and see if I can find the 7ft link for you. Thanks for reaching out. 🙌🙌🙌
I just added the 7ft rod link. Thanks again. 🙌
@@bassnwbuddy2617 thanks man I snagged the last one in stock, used your link. Ill let you know how it does on the lake fork crappie and bass. should make that reel sing!

Just got Mega Live but its too cold to fish up here. You have your's dialed in nice, hope mine looks like that. I've been hearing that it's not as good as the others but yours looks good. Looks like you guys had some fun. Thanks
@steveodonnell2921 mega live does everything all the others do. The others may have more separation but it is amazing. Cheaper now too. Thanks for watching, if your ever down here in Bama, book a trip and I love to take you out. I'll show you some tips and setting for the LIVE. 🙌🙌🙌
As a resident here and trophy bass fisherman I have been fishing Bibb co lake for years. The once healthy population of trophy bass has declined to nearly nothing. Regardless of what the biologists think. Fishing pressure and tournaments has destroyed it. As many as 50 bass boats can be counted sometimes going around the banks in a line on a 100 acre lake watching their graphs and chasing shad. It needs new regulations. Fwiw
Awesome video and great setup!
@onewayryan Thanks for watching. The set up is pretty beast.
crappie???
@@PhilLandry-l2z I was just being silly 😆
What the he hot hell inbred catfish with the sunfish type crappy is that I call a small mouth?
Love my targetlock. Hope it works with mega 2
I could not read the range on your monitor. When you locate fish, you may want to move within 15' - 20' from them and change the range on your monitor to 25" If I am not mistaken: If your current range is 50' and you reduce it to 25', your lure should appear double the size is was before changing. Please let me know if that works. Thanks. Of course, that does not address locating the lure when you cast outside of the cone.
@@mcconn746 I appreciate the info. 🙌🙌

Serious experienced boater out of Florida. I have pulled boats out of ramps thousands of times, the weight of the boat only means you need the horsepower and transmission to handle the work, secondly, overall trucks are not the best way to go as they are light in the rear and have little weight on the rear axle. Setting up the boat on the trailer so it will add down pressure on the tongue and the rear wheels as the boat comes up the ramp slowly in first gear is the key factor. Experience in driving out of the ramp will save the day. You stay away from algae on the ramp, keep the rear tires out of the water and stay away from really steep ramps and all will be fine, two wheel drive trucks will do the job, and the addition of 4wd is a bonus but one does not have to have it.
@johnthomas3863 thanks for the response. Great information 🙌🙌🙌
I am a braided line user myself, it’s all the confidence you have in it, I have fished with 6,8,10,15 pound test braid, but I ALWAYS catch more fish with 6 pound, because I have more confidence in it.😊 like your videos.
@@dannylang7971 it's definitely all about confidence, I've heard the lighter the better 👍. I really appreciate you tuning in. Thanks for watching 🙌
I’m going to holt in the morning. I hope I can find a few.
@ntj030885 we caught 49 yesterday. We were on the 20-25ft flats. Mark the structure on those flats, come back and fish them with your favorite crappie jigs and hold on. Tight Lines and good luck tomorrow. Would love to hear how you do.
@ I went to holt today and only caught 4. They were good ones though. Back in the creek mouths. I wished I would have gotten minnows. I could see them chasing my jig but just wouldn’t take it.
@ntj030885 Dang. But like they say, a bad day of fishing beats any day at work. I. Glad you caught some though. We caught 49 crappie Saturday and they were all out on the main river still. We were in 20-25ft targeting them.
@@bassnwbuddy2617 oh yeah, I still had fun. They were nice one too. I have livescope up front but I only have a lowrance hook 5 inch at the console and it’s hard to locate structure with it. I did find them though. Just couldn’t get them to bite. I’m pretty new at it still.
@ntj030885 totally understand. Live scoping the creeks would definitely be something I'd be doing than for sure. If there's anything I can help you with just give me a shout. 🙌🙌🙌
1st view😁😁 enjoy your videos man, me and my buddy fish Holt quite a bit. It’s been tough lately
@Roo-tz4xt Whats happening? I appreciate you watching. Hats off to you for being first, I like to hear that. True fan right there🙌 Do you guys fish for Crappie or bass when your at Holt?
Mostly bass, we do keep a crappie pole on deck though😁 Been waiting on some to move back in the creeks just seems like it hasn’t happened yet this year.
@Roo-tz4xt they are moving back just a tad. Nothing too good yet. These warm nights got them out on the main river right now. I caught 49 Saturday and they all were in 20-25ft
Good stuff my dude!
I did these latest updates after restoring defaults. I think my Mega Live worked better before the last two updates for Helix 12 Si G4N. I have tried everything to get better results and not very good. We were trolling for Coho and Chinook Salmon and using 11" 360 Flashers. I can see the flashers but even that isn't overly great. I was wondering if I could zoom in on the flashers to get a better view. Not sure that is an option. Haven't been back out to try that. Guides are using Mega Live with 15" Apex units and doing very well trolling for salmon. Even calling out what rods might go down as fish pass through the gear. I have tried everything adjusting, watch videos of settings to try. Still mediocre. I am on the current version for Helix and v1.300 for Mega Live.
@Askeyb2011 the 1.300 update was amazing for me. I didn't even have to touch the settings after the update. I have the helix 10 Mega SI G4N. I hate to hear that for you. It does get frustrating from time to time but humminbird support has be amazing for me.
@@bassnwbuddy2617 I don't get why I'm having so much trouble. Out three times salmon fishing and a real struggle. Using 11" flashers should show really well, they show but not all that great. I have tried all the settings mentioned on videos. I try to only use suggestions with the latest update. Too many old videos that used older updates .
@Askeyb2011 I don't understand either. I hate that for you man. I'd definitely call humminbird support asap.
Dang that’s crazy. Is that on Holt?
@@ntj030885 yeah
@@ntj030885 I couldn't believe it either. I went over it like 20 times.

Hello. unfortunately it is not the correct way to lube worm Gear shaft with Grease but should be lubed with light reel oil instead which Quantum Hot Sauce REEL OIL is the correct way to lube that part. Grease collect micro sand particles from the fishing line and gums up causing premature parts failure.

Would you provide a link to the Dirty Bait lure company. I am having trouble locating it for ordering some of his slayers. The video is well done and educational. From a technical standpoint, the crackling noise of the microphone is very distracting. Try eliminating this if possible to make a cleaner video if possible. Thanks for sharing. Im a HB guy as well. The one boat network is wonderful.
@ronknight779 thank you for your comment. For some reason, the audio sounds amazing when I edited on my mac. Once I uploaded the video and heard it I thought the exact thing. It's an older gopro, I probably need to upgrade for better audio. But I definitely appreciate your point.
