Telefunken Elektroakustik's New TF11 FET Microphone Offers C12-Style Voicing For Under $1K • Telefunken Elektroakus...
I need this for my studio because it's beautiful and my acoustic guitar just told me that she's secretly in love with it.
These mics have sounded amazing for decades. As a sax player growing up on legendary sound of altoist Cannonball Adderley, so many of his albums featured him playing into vintage Telefunkens. The sound is so deep and velvety...I gotta get one of these for my studio!
It could be argued that every one of us deserves to own this mic. I would like to have one because having the right microphone on a source is key to great recordings and that the TF11 FET is that mic.
This is a must have for any studio. As a small independent studio, Walkabout Studios, we really appreciate the quality in these mics.
The mic sounds even better than it looks 😍
Great mic! Love the natural sound it presents on vocals. I would love this mic for recording because it would definitely lift the quality of my tracks.
Beautiful, would love to have it
will go very nicely with all my other Vintage King gear! Want!
I would love this mic. I have a very limited mic collection. I am a disabled vet and could sure use it!
This is an interesting hybrid design to create quality and value. I need the mike to help motivate me and my clients to best performances: thx for the contest. Good luck everyone !
Sounded particularly good on acoustic guitar and drums. Can't wait to hear it on female vocals.
Great video for what looks like a great mic!
Very versatile Mic for sure. In my opinion I think this will be great for Podcast.
Would love to see you guys do more videos on this mic. 1 comparing it to a C12, and for fun a C414...back then when a C12 would need repair, they used to pull the capsule from a 414 EB to replace the C12's capsule. 414 does have a different transformer and amp design so I know they sound different to a C12/Tf11 but would still be nice to see how they compare since the Tf11 mic seems to excell in the same sources the C12/414 are known for.
Would also love to hear how it sounds paired with a SM57 on distorted guitars. These would be factors that would help decide on picking one up.
Sounds like a great mic!
Would be pretty killer to get one of these - so many places to use it in!
I Just Love this..............
If I won this mic, I would finally have that one really great mic for vocals in my small studio!
Lovely mic!
Sounds so sweet would love to own one one day ✌️🙏
Need this Mic for vocals!
Love the Tele Funk!
Sounds like a workhorse! Would love to see an A/B comparison with the original. Also, I noticed you guys recently started carrying Electric and Company preamps, a company I've been interested in for a while, but I've yet to find any samples of them being used! Could be a cool video in the future if you have the time (especially with the EC3 coming out shortly).
I like this mic. Fet vibe is nice and seems like a hit in this price range. I’d like to hear it up against Mojave fet, WA-251, or Bock.
I ran a meet-up type group pre-covid and we were just discussing a web version if all could join simultaneously. Coincidentally my Blue Kiwi and NT-1 were stolen so I was entertaining the L22 Sphere...but the price tag and in this economy? This is also too high for me but it's sooo warm!
I like the rich harmonics it brings
This would make a nice addition to my studio with its great looks
Sounds natural and clean. Imagine an affordable Telefunken? I didn't think that would happen in this Frank Zappa fans lifetime. "It looks just like a Telefunken U47"
Telefunken DNA combined with US manufacturing- no brainer!
Also neat, orderly CB and quality components we are all looking for.
Sounds great! Can I have two please?
Nice for the price.
I'd love to put a microphone from a household name in to my little household studio! Mach's gut!
I thinking I don't have the cast but hope a discount will pop up one day
I should win this mic! Yes I should win this mic! Why? Because my 50 years of recording experience tell me that the TF11 isn't hyped, it is smooth, it sounds very good and I liked it! Most new mics are hyped and pushed and I hate it, but he FT11 sounds natural.
It honestly is just a clean sound no characteristics like the other telephunkens
That would be cause no other telefunken mic was ever designed to sound like an AKG C12 mic. So it shouldn't have characteristics of any other telefunken mic.
Wow!!! Sounds Awesome!!! Could you please tell me what signal chain you used for vocals on this video. Preamp?? Compressor??
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Neve 1073LB / UA Apollo 8p. No compression, EQ or other processing.
@@vintagekingproaudio Awesome!!! Thank You!!!
I think the highs kinda too harsh. Would love to the graph chart.
What preamp and converters were used in this demo?
Neve 1073LB / UA Apollo 8p
I would like to win this TELEFUNKEN TF11 microphone I would like to upgrade my studio with this quality versatile tool to enhance the quality of audio that goes into my projects that will keep my future clients totally satisfied.
Neumann TLM 103 vs Telefunken TF11???what yall think?
.
Sounded best (and really nice) on drums to my ears. Lacking a little depth and transparency, on guitar, and a little crunchy on the high end and a little buildup on the low mids. Just listened through my old shitty ears though and just one mans opinion...
I don’t deserve this mic, but I’ll take it anyway.
Seems like it cut through a heavy mix
Pretty underwhelmed by the sound..?! Not much in common with a c12 or a vintage telefunlen... beautiful product design but the sound isn't there imho
CAD makes it $1k :(
