    Damn that livery is straight 🔥🔥 bro, probably the best colorway for the fzr imo. I hate how all the manufacturers are scared to design bikes with unique liveries now days.. There are a few exceptions though like the 2023 mt07 with the cyan wheels looks phenomenal.

      Thanks man! I like this colorway a lot, but my favorite was the actually the dark purple/red with red wheels. Think it may have only been available in like ‘94-‘95. I never find them!

    Took my motorcycle license test on my brother's bike. This exact one. In 1989. He still has it with 8k miles on it. Good condition. I'm thinking of buying it.

      You should do that! Wish I had the same one I owned in college.

    Put some air in your rear tire

      Oh I did haha. Barely rode it more than just down my block in this video. Those tires are like 15+ years old and are currently being swapped for new ones.

    Think it looks terrible, the shape clashes w the lines of that classic bike, but the sound makes it totally overlookable, EPIC angry growl!

      @ShiftyIntentions  Рік тому

      I am pretty much on the same page tbh. I think the color matched the bike well, but the shape didn’t make a lot of sense. This was ultimately just an exercise in cheapness for the sake of boredom haha. I have already switched to something different, and eventually will be doing something higher quality when the bike gets restored.

    You need to run a few tanks worh of seafoam through it. Double up the amount. Then check the spark plugs and at least clean your plugs. Hopefully cure the cold start

      Already got it figured out actually. Carbs were pretty far out of adjustment. I’ll update on this video eventually. Planning to have the bike fully restored.

    The FZR is a great poor man's motorcycle. The price of maintenance is pretty cheap. Taking care of the carburetor isn't fun but that thing has 90 horse power very road worthy.
    Do you happen to know where I can get some fairings for a 94 ???
    Safe riding homie.

      @ShiftyIntentions  Рік тому +2

      As far as I know you can only get good reproduction fairings from Airtech. Good luck!

    How’s the air pressure in those tires? Ride safe.❤

      I made sure they were aired up before riding it much. They were super old tires and I had them replaced almost immediately after making this video 🤙

    Hey man, I got a 98 fzr 600, and it's an awesome bike for my first bike. I can't wait to see more videos on the bike. The only problem I've been having is my chain keeps coming loose, and it's a new chain granted it was a cheap eBay chain. Anyway I saw your video on the exhaust mods and thought , " els could this guy show me on this bike that I don't know. Will definitely subscribe.

    • @ShiftyIntentions
      @ShiftyIntentions  Рік тому

      Cheap Ebay chains will definitely stretch faster than one from a quality brand like D.I.D. or similar. I would just buy a good replacement O-ring chain from DID and see how that works. It shouldn’t stretch a ton outside of the first couple hundred miles of break-in.

    Do you have a link for that exhaust? I just resurrected an FZR 600 and would like to try this exhaust.

    • @ShiftyIntentions
      @ShiftyIntentions  5 місяців тому +1

      I actually would not recommend this as it wasn’t the best fitting exhaust. I think there might be better options out there. I would recommend trying to find a better midpipe, or having a shop make you a custom midpipe to fit the exhaust a little bettet. It did work though, so If you’d like to try it anyway the link is below:

      And the midpipe I used in the video:

    You still happen to have a URL link for that link pipe? I can’t find the right link pipe for the life of me.

    • @ShiftyIntentions
      @ShiftyIntentions  Рік тому

      This is the midpipe I used, though I would honestly recommend you try a different setup than I have. The mid-pipe sat dangerously close to the right side foot peg and I just probably wouldn’t try this setup again. I also didn’t like how the muffler mounted up. A round muffler would have worked better.

      Why waste money not going to add 1 hp and this one sounds fine. Slip ons fpr sound days of pipes adding power are gone. A tune will add hp but slip.on does seen hundreds dynoed sound and weight is only advantage over stock. Pipes today flow pretty damn well unless you start boring and stroking and adding race cams

    • @RT22-pb2pp
      @RT22-pb2pp 8 місяців тому

      @@ShiftyIntentionswhy stock head pipes are as good as and header pipes. Modern head pipes flow as good as any full headers do the tip is restrictive and other than weight and sound stock is fine until you mod engine like cams bigger pistons etc. Modern bikes flow fine what little restriction to be quiet does not Robb more than 1 or 2 hp at max rpm. Weight is biggest thing and of course sound.

    • @ShiftyIntentions
      @ShiftyIntentions  8 місяців тому

      @@RT22-pb2pp I want to swap header pipes because these are old and original. Worried they may rust out eventually and would rather have pretty stainless pipes if possible.

    • @RT22-pb2pp
      @RT22-pb2pp 8 місяців тому +1

      @@ShiftyIntentions oh that's fine just saying flow is no better but good stainless also look cool once they blue with heat cycles. If old and looking rusty replace by all means. Was just saying if in good shape just wasting money.
