I think this, like a lot of his songs go along with a storyline of his album. The lights are first referenced in the previous track " faith". It maybe referring to fame blinding him to whats important or as some think, maybe referring to the lights he sees in the back of an ambulance and him not wanting to die without feeling her "touch"
the lights one in faith was about him getting into a cop car i think at 2014

c'mon man. its about drugs again. every single verse in that track is a reference to someone comming down in vegas. where drugs can be hard to come by for the average, do to hash penalties if caught. just a touch/taste all he needs. cant see clearly, hard to sleep, drowning in the night. all results of coming down. weird but true. take an addict to know an addict. at least thats my take on the song. that white girl or maybe tina. yum

What I like most about this song is the 80s vibe to the music. I'm 42 and my music taste isn't only 80s, 90s, and 00s, but of course I have nostalgia for those decades of my childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood. Then you got his lovely voice on it and it's perfection

Q. What do you think the imagery of the singer is all about? He went to great lengths to put that in the video. He was being lifted up by her hand. Is she the representation of his love interest or is she a distraction from it? Q2. Why do those guys beat him up?
you would notice 2 guys looking for someone and then the car rolls on the street, so thats when these men have caught him and beaten him, after that you would not see him with the car so may be the car was stolen by him and the owners have taken it back.
Tbh i like songs that are vague in meaning but we know what they're getting at. Another two is bother by stone sour, and snuff, also stone sour iirc but could be Slipknot.

when the video starts he is not bleeding on the face but somehow he is high on drugs and then he pushes the paddles of a car which I think he stole and later got beaten up for the same. he is enjoying his smoke, the fast car and the way he is stoned, and maybe there is a reference of him being with prostitutes when he swiftly walks out of some shady place. He is not shown with girls which can mean he is in love with someone who is not with him anymore and he is now missing that person when he writes this song as he is shown alone into the whole song doing everything on his own. when he is bleeding he says WHEN I'M LIKE THIS YOU'RE THE ONE I TRUST which means he is presently into some sort of regret of parting with someone..................... thats what I could figure out

Yeah, it's literally describing withdrawals - "no one's around to judge me", no one will judge his drug use.
"can't see clearly when you're gone", people in such a state doesn't think clearly and rationally, they would do basically anything to get a fix and often there's blurry vision present.
"you don't have to do much, you can turn me on with just a touch" he doesn't need much to feel better.
Blinding lights - in a withdrawal state light is irritating and blinding. Photophobia is normal and often occurrence, just like hydrophobia.
Running out of time - he has a very little time before withdrawals will start again.
"I can't sleep until I fell your touch" - dyssomnia/disordered sleep is a well known symptom in withdrawal syndrome.

I always thought this song was about someone he loved and cared for before he got famous. Now with fame, drugs and all the women he can have, it's just not the same of what he had.
