Dr. Richard Weller is an academic dermatologist in Edinburgh, with a professionally unfashionable love of the sun.
While dermatologists have warned of the risks of pale skinned populations developing skin cancer if exposed to too much ultra-violet radiation, there is a positive side to it. Vitamin D is generated in sun exposed skin and is essential to life, but the data confirming that taking Vitamin D supplements improves health is shaky.
We have identified another mechanism by which sunlight benefits you. Nitric oxide is a small molecule, essential to cardiovascular health, which we have found to be stored in the skin, and released to the circulation by sunlight. This lowers blood pressure and makes the blood flow more smoothly. Could this new mechanism account for some of Britain's north-south health divide?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

This was a fascinating lecture and one of the best from TEDX Glasgow. Watch this space maybe Dr Weller and hiS team have a real potential break through in health of Scots. Well done great to have been there and hear Dr R Weller.

For us, of this land, Scottish English would be a better dialect to speak; British dialect, every bit as auspicious, noble, but for temporal reasons perhaps not best, for us... However, the Overriding issue is very simple: If your Patriarchal Attribution and blessing is as Celtic- and generally this would mean Fles, Saxon, or Jute (the term "Angles} for Fles is not really correct, and misleading)- then Scottish Gaelic is the language to speak; if as with a former patriarchal attribution, Anglican or English- Frisians is correct- then English. For one Celtic to speak English leads to a condition called Jecethmeqeswyeq, or Sanpaku (far eastern ancient term, meaning dyssync or inharmoniousness between the Nightside and Dayside personality components)- a great many had such a condition, as the Frisian or Brythonic sub-tribe was very hegemoniacal; even monopolistic, at times. By deceiving Celts, perhaps, that they were actually English, or Frisian, that they should speak English, they felt they could get gain. This entire continent, called "America" is best and correctly known by the Name Nova Scotia, or Alba Nuadh; the English language, seeing as the Patriarchal Attribution of the entire land became fully Celtic, is even more of negative portent, as the Anglican patriarchal attribution was removed from the aerth, long ago; neither can there be a country, Britain, as in the sublime world 13 Nations Hierarchy it was removed, and replaced by Scotland... Currently, Jecethmeqeswyeq (proto-Celtic term) causes very incredibly low vitality, in the land also called U.S.A....
