It's been said over and over since January but then why has he been made central to our pre-season games. Surely Davies would be playing the players he intends/wants to use. Now I'm not saying JJ won't leave if a great offer comes in but it makes no sense why he's been played for the past five games.
Agree Phil, thought the same but there does seem to be a lot of noise about him. I hope he stays and I think Davies wants him for the reasons you've said. It does look like he might be going through.
If James goes then who are the two players Davies has said he wants fighting for every position? Worried we will look a little thin with just paik in that spot.
@@peterfalk7084 the noise does certainly suggest it but you have to assume with two weeks to go till kick off that Davies would have long since filled those midfield spots with players who are staying versus giving a pre season to players the club intends to sell. So that tells me at least that it’s not the club’s intention to sell but that doesn’t discount it if a massive offer came in.
@@michaelquinn3301 well Paik has been linked with an exit too so why play all our pre season games with players we think will leave. None of us can know what’s happening behind closed doors but we do know both these players have completed a full pre season versus replacements completing the pre season with us . Can you imagine playing JJ/Paik right up to the baggies game only to see them leave and be replaced when the season starts
Can’t we offer jj a new contract and loan him to Ipswich or am I mental because if they get relegated from the prem we get him back more developed with more experience
I hadn't thought about this as an option but honestly, it's not a bad shout at all. No one seems to sure where his ceiling in but he is certainly still improving
