- In this video I will be reviewing CarPro Perl as a tire dressing. Perl is a product that you dilute for different jobs. For tires it is diluted 1:1 as I show in this video. I prefer a satin finish and that is exactly what this does!

Great video! Thanks for the shoutout!! Glad you enjoyed CarPro PERL. I also dilute it 1:1 for use on tires. Perfect blend and you save product.
1:1 for tires
1:3 for exterior plastics
1:5 for interior plastics
Thank you! You are welcome! I really like it and use it all the time now.
PERL is very big in the UK, we love the finish and ease of application.
Well done for bringing it to the attention of your viewers.
Thank you! It’s a great product.
Thanks for the great video as always! We have our car club season openers at his cart track in new castle.
Thank you and you are welcome! I have never been to the track but plan to one day.
I have to say, I was once an Adam’s Tire Shine fan. However, once I tried CarPro Pearl, I’ve never looked back! Great tire dressing!!
Phriendlymd it is definitely a great Tire Shine! I still like my Adam’s though. I go back and forth now.
Thanks for this demo! I just bought a sample of CarPro Pearl and now I'm anxious to try it out.
You are welcome!
Great demo!! Thank you! Those tires look perfect. That detail black shine is unbelievable!! If you were in Miami, I'd get you to detail my black car.
Thank you! It’s the perfect gloss in my opinion.
Hi, I have been using Perl on my tyres for quite a while at 1:1. I use a detail brush to apply it and wipe it off with a cloth. Keeps the tyres looking great for very little cost
Obsessive Car Detailer It is such a versatile product! That’s a great tip! Thanks
Phenomenal! Looks fantastic! Car Pro price has always been a deterrent for me trying their products... But man those looks great! I will def go buy some stuff to help support your channel.
It does look great! They are expensive but being that it is dilutable that is what sold it for me. Thanks for supporting the channel.
Wow, I like the new Intro. I didn't know that CarPro Perl was dilutable ? You learn new things everyday.
Thanks! It’s great that it can be diluted! Yes you do
Every time I see that car I get jealous 😬 it looks FABulous! 👍✌️🇺🇸
Haha me too! I like the FABulous!
5:30 in the morning trying to catch up on your video's. I'm on vacation this week and finally got people remodeling the inside of my house. Nice vid FAB! Do What You Do. HOOF OUT
Old men get up early! Haha I appreciate you catching up. Hope everything at the house is going well.
Looks great!! Nice review. Love that its dilutible! Man that Benz looks LEGIT!!!
Yeah it does Thanks! Dilution is what sold it for me when watching Pan’s video on it. Legit for sure! 😂
You got it clean tfs buddy
this has been my goto for a couple months now! really like the sheen not cake icing look and no sling!
1:1 tires
1:5 interior has been great too a good clean fresh look without looking like a sloppy mess.
grab it on a carpro sale day on detailed image like you said and your good!
I am growing to like it more and more every time I use it! Thanks for watching
I like those Shiney's applicators too! I just recently bough the aerosol Griot's satin tire shine and am very happy with the look, but I'd probably try this just for the versatility.
Jamie Rosenthal Yes the applicators are great! Satin finish tire shine is also one of my favorites. This product is very versatile and worth trying out.
Can I get a link to the applicator from shineys?
Great video buddy i love car pro perl
It’s a great versatile product!
With not that much rain here in Az should be a good item. I currently use CG Silk & Shine. With my Duratrac Tires I use a small sprayer I bought off of Amazon and spray them. It does a great job. I've been wanting to try the Perl as it gets good reviews. I got my bottle and diluting it 1:1 will work prefect with the sprayer (tip from Miranda Detailing). Thank you sir. Love your vids! I've learned so much from watching. And I've spent lots of money (like all of us) on supplies 😳. Chasing that perfection ! LOL.....
dj 91 Yeah I think out there you should get really good life out of it. Phil always has some great tips. Man I have no idea what I have spent and don’t want to know. 😂
Great video, I'm the same in that I like a little but not a lot of shine on tires. Have been using Chemical Guys VRP up to this point and have gotten great results, but I picked up a bottle of Perl today just to compare. Hoping longevity is a little better with Perl given the higher price so we shall see. Appreciate your time man!
Thanks! It will definitely last longer then VRP as I have used both. No problem and thanks for watching
Nice shine, love satin! Have to try it..
Jason Davis satin is the way to go! You definitely need to try it.
you mentioned in this video that you've tried carpro ironx before, what did you end up replacing it with? if you replaced it at all
Xtreme Solutions Iron-X, Malco Iron Blaster or even the new Turtle Wax All wheel and tire cleaner is an awesome iron remover for wheels and paint.
Nice vid man! How long did it last for you?
About a week!
Spraying 1:1 on a foam applicator and rubbing it in works for my tire dressing.
Papasmurf used some of this on his last video and I liked the look on the tires so of course I looked to see if you had a video on the Perl on tires. Would you say that this is your favorite product for tires? I've been using the Adam's Tire Shine because I have so much of it. I think I have a sample bottle of the Perl that came with my mystery packs that I got from Detailed Image.
kawtriples It is very good on tires and I like that it is dilutable. It is my number 2 tire shine right now. Ethos tire shine is still my favorite for now.
That worked great! How do you think this compares to Adams VRT? That Benz looks so good!
It does work great! I think they are both very close to wash other in the finish and how long it lasts. Can’t go wrong with either
The go Kart track sounds like a fun place to go
I actually have never been there. I have drove by it a million times though.
I'm still learning , thanks for your videos 👍🏽
You are welcome!
Nice.. if it works.. and can dilute it.. its definitely worth it👍🏼👍🏼
I agree 💯! Thanks brother
Damm and I love Whiskey. Lol. Great review 😊
This is the best stuff as it replaced KY Jelly as my Tire Shine.
Wow didn’t know KY Jelly would be a good Tire Shine! 😂
it comes right off when it rains but stays on for a couple of dry days
It does diminish in rain a little bit but preparation before application is key. It lasts a good week without rain which is good for me because my cars get washed once a week usually.
Best tire dressing bar none you need a sprayer to spray on a brush works awesome never slung on me 1:1
Kenny Weaver Yeah it definitely does not sling once cured. You are the second person that has recommended a brush so I might have to try that.
Found your channel today , love it , keep it up .... I would love that product , love whiskey 🥃
bob clapper Thanks brother! Man I had some bad experiences with Whiskey so the smell isn’t that great to me. 😂
Good video as usual. It looks good but the durability is the real question that needs to be addressed I think.
In the real world depending on how much rain your car sees, it should last AT LEAST a month if prepped properly :) I recommend rubber prep or if you don't have that use Isopropyl Alcohol. I hope that helps.
Thanks! I seem to get a little over a week with no rain. That’s fine for me because I wash my cars once a week usually anyway.
Preparation is definitely key but I haven’t seen it go a month. I usually get a little over a week but then I wash it anyways. My truck hasn’t been washed in a month or longer because I haven’t been driving it and Perl was the last dressing and it’s definitely not there anymore.
I get about month too of durability. I agree preparation is key. I used it at full strenght for the initial application. Wait 10 minutes and wipe it down, add a second layer full strenght (but a little goes a long way for the second application). I tried other stuff (meguiar's, gyeon tire T2, vrp), seems to be the most cost/effective and it does not ''brown'' the tires over time.
Forgot to ask, how long do you think it will las (under normal circumstances)?
B Stewart ExecutiveCarCare under normal everyday driving a couple weeks without rain. With rain about a week.
I know the vid has been out for awhile but was wondering hows the l longevity of the Perl 1:1 on the tires?
dj 91 I always get a solid 2 weeks regardless of weather. If we don’t get much rain I have had it go almost a month.
I was interested in CarPro Perl until I learned that it has a 12 month shelf life/expiration date. The product looks good, is dillutable, and reasonably priced....but the short shelf life swayed me away.
Shelf life doesn’t really bother me because I will definitely use the whole bottle within a year.
UKSportsFan i’ve had my bottle for 5 years sitting on the shelf in my garage and still works great.
rsxfreak79 Yeah most Detailing products have a 5 year shelf life.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing I wonder if yours smells like whisky because it's an older bottle. That is the older CarPro label for Perl. Mine has the new label and it (to me) smells like banana yogurt, quite good actually. I just use it straight up on my tires and works very well.
Try some Buffalo Trace Bourbon, it’ll change your mind on whiskey
Could you try out 303 protectant for tires?
I plan to in the future but have a ton of products to get to right now.
I use perl right out the bottle no water
Where did you get the little bottle from with the label on it at
At Walmart in the kitchen utensils isle. I think I paid $1 each
I use it full strength, leave it for about 10 minutes or so and then wipe them down with an old microfibre
You have the link for the applicator?
Here is the link but it shows they are sold out. shineysdetail.com/collections/accessories/products/jumbo-tire-dressing-applicator
I hear all kinds of mixed reviews about Perl. I don't like dressings that come off in one rain or washing or leave residue trails.
It definitely does not sling at all! As far as raining when it rains it does lose some of the sheen but you can still see it’s there.
Thanks for the reply FAB! I think I need to go with separate dressings for tires and other rubber and trim on my vehicle. So far, I get the best results from silicone dressings on my tires. But I still have yet to find a dressing that I can use on other rubber and plastic that doesn't leave trails running down the paint after one rain.
Eddie L You are welcome You need Adam’s Polishes VRT it is amazing and last through rain storms. It is self leveling and won’t run or streak.
I got a benz the wheels look just like mines
I know I'm a bit late, but... this is what your asking for;
www.detailedimage.com/Meguiars-M43/Dispenser-Bottle-P527/16oz-S1/ (glue dispenser sorta thing)
Yes thank you!
Too much talk! 2:45 and still not seen a tire.
Thanks for watching!
Buddy, two questions for you, 2020 trump???
And technically you can knockdown any kind of tire dressing to reduce the gloss, so why buy expensive stuff?
I don’t talk about politics on the channel! Yes you can knock them all down. I buy different priced products to make video reviews. I have used cheap products that work as good as the expensive products and expensive products that work way better then the cheaper. It just comes down to testing and finding out what works best.
I get you, thanks for the reply, love your channel, really informational and fair comparison👍🏻
