Shop time yesterday was the youngest son and I repurposing a water heater into a wood burning stove for his garage. Was a messy day and realized that I too suffer from tornadic work habits and need to get my shops in order. That coal stove is just about ready to fire up for the winter wood shop projects. I am trying to get the 1 hour /1 day principal in place.

It's hard isnt it? Why do we so much of our time to our employers each week but so little to ourselves. It's not right. I'm excited to hear about the stove. It sounds like it will work great!

Debtfreehomesteaders George it is hard with the 80/20 split between work and family. One thing I have come to appreciate is the community supporting, educating, and inspiring one another. Enjoy your day Will!

👍🏻 I'd be inclined to cover the window but I'd probably remove it and repair the wall. Otherwise moisture is likely to condense in there.

French cleat are awesome. I purpusly built my garage without windows because I believe you loose to much vital wall space for item such as cobbers, shelving or simply storage for big tools or bulky items and also...no one can see what you are doing in the garage....no snooping. great to see progress....I am doing the same...cleaning ...
