I twist the stitch to ensure the front leg of the stitch is forward. I find if I don't rotate, it sits on my needle with the back leg more forward then the front. That being said, I think for most projects - this isn't going to be noticeable or overly effect the desired outcome :)

Why do some tutorials say to rotate the stitch and others say to bring up the loop and not twist it? Is there any difference?
