Which would you pick??
Rhetorical question of course because they’re crazy different in nature and serve different purposes. But feel free to comment your thoughts...Unplesant Suprise is nasty, stinging, and heavily gated in such a cool way- while ~900 is a workhorse JFET fuzz/distortion with loads of sustain and power on tap. Still fun to hear them A/B 😉

Thanks for doing this! I'm a firm believer in everything Fairfield, but I hope they allow us to play with the truly new circuit ideas they've been cooking up, rather than remakes. That "steel wool" grind of the ~900 is dope, but I think US is still a more unique circuit, even though it's almost 10 years old. Holding out for a truly new pedal from them! If you have a Barbershop, you should try turning the sag and drive down and slamming it as hard as you can at the input-the sound is squished and destroyed like the US, but with more clarity. One of my fave sounds! Awesome playing, some of the best demos around!
