Planning to go to Phils this July. Is end of July still a good time for surfing, island hopping, swimming? Just scared about rainy and typhoon seasons.
I was there during the end of July to beginning of August. It was sunny every single day, and never saw a drop of rain! Surfing was great, and no issues what-so-ever. Might even be the best time to go!
Your enthusiasm is infectious. Loved the vlog. Planning a 3 month trip to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and the Philippines in Mar - May 2020. Siargao is at the top of the must do list in the Philippines and after watching this may serve as a home base for our time there. Any accommodation suggestions ? Planning a month in the Philippines. Ron Shaver thanks so much Ron! Accommodation options really depends on what you’re looking for. I recommend staying somewhere in General Luna to most people as that’s where most tourists go. Great spot for cafes, food options, and accommodation for all types and budgets. If you get an Airbnb outside of GL you’ll have plenty of choices for different budgets but will be sacrificing a bit of convenience. This will however mean you’ll have more time with the locals which I can’t recommend enough. If you don’t need Internet Siargao is a great home base in SE Asia, but really not so great if you need to stay connected as it’s hard to find something stable. Appreciate the comment so much and should you have any more questions I’ll be happy to answer!
R. Chico not sure which would be better as I have not been to coron/Palawan yet. I can say for certain though that Siargao has a lot for the adventurous and you wouldn’t be wrong to go there

Lor Raine I believe that was the mayor of Dapa’s house so most people would not have access to that. I did go to Magpupungko, it just didn’t make the top 10 haha. And yes, I need Siargao in my life too!
You know tides change times yea? So if high tide is 7:30am today then it'' be roughly 8:30 the next day, 9:30 the next and so on. About 6 hours between high and low.

May I ask dude if you were able to visit Magpupungko, taktak falls, the viewpoint where you can sea an ocean of coconut trees,.. Is the night life good also?
Went to both magpupungko and taktak falls and they were nice, just not quite enough to make this list imo. There's probably about a hundred different views of the ocean and coconut trees so not sure which one you mean haha. Night life is decent in General Luna. Went to a full moon party there that was small but really fun. Siargao just has everything
jay mark Paracuelles the Internet is atrocious so that wasn’t fun. All of the activities I listed are mostly outside, so if you get bad weather it would suck. The local food is good, but in my opinion not quite as good as thailand. Other than that I can’t think of anything negative about Siargao or the philippines
@@nomads9739 how about local commute overpriced fare to foreigners and I assume pollution is rampant in dapa were u stayed and slow internet.. There u go hehe
@@pipoyjoy foreigners are definitely charged more for scooters, but its still cheap enough I wouldnt worry about it. Dapa was actually quite clean while I was there. Wasnt bad at all
i think the name of the island in the first place is wrong, because when i checked on the map, this island is far away from Siargao . Maybe the island you talking about is Casolian? Am i right?
Hey RyeLL! I flew from Cebu city which was really easy. When I arrived there was nothing but sunshine. No rain or clouds during my whole week! Loved it haha

Sondre Indrebø i had a tour guide who took me around and showed me everywhere which was great never had any issues with anything militaristic. Siargao is a very laid back place. I’d recommend about a week or so to explore everything. Thanks for the love!

@@nomads9739 Pacifico is laidback. And the view from the road overlooking pacifico beach was amaizing. I shud have stay for 2days in that area.

32lilbruce thanks for the love! Not sure when the best time to go is as I was there in July. Might be best to research when the rainy season is. From what I’ve been told it’s great year-round!
