Philippines is such a unique, peaceful and diverse country, full of friendly warmhearted people and delicious food, the country where adventure and exploration never ends.
That was great information … my son was just there but had to leave after a week as the line from the sea had been damaged so no electricity or fresh water unless certain places had a back up generator. That was Dec 2024. I feel so much for the businesses all over the island.
This was a great video Joel! Very informative and brilliant cinematography. I'm moving to Manila next month from the UK and will definitely spend some time in Siargao after watching this. Thanks!
So delighted to see the blooming paradise of Siargao i would say. We Filipino are very proud to have this nature. If you really wants to have an aventure and relax close to mother nature visit Siargao Philippines. We actually have Virgin Island that you dont explore.
Went went to siargao around the same time you was there but we left after 48hrs as the weather was awful & we had some bad experiences. But we cannot wait to go back when the weather is better, everyone says good things about the island 💭
Thanks Joe and Emilia for your great tips, they helped us a lot - and then we booked a private tour combining all your most interesting tips from our point of view - and yes, Kermit really is a good restaurant
Wow, such an amazing touristic destination. You have an wonderful videos. Im a filipino but I never been there yet. I cant wait to visit this town in the south. By the way I notice that the palm tree view has actually coconut trees. I just wonder why its called palm trees though. Palm trees and coconut trees are way different specially with the leaves. If I go to Siargao I would definitely ask the locals about it.
I just started watching your videos on Philippines and I have to say they’re amazing, super helpful and informative. My husband and I are planning to go in January and I was wondering if it’s a good idea to add siargao to our itinerary or not since it’s the rainy season over there around this time.
Hey Joel, thank you for video..I am planning to visit Philippines for the first time and Siargao especially..the only thing that is bothers me is a internet ,I have a online meetings with my laptop ,how is wi-fi in the hotels?didnt you mentioned get the e SIM card ,how is that SIM card quality satisfying ?
How would you rank the Bucas Grande Sohoton Cove tour - tri Island Hopping tour (naked, daku, guyam) and Sugba Lagoon? If you didnt have time to do all 3.
I don't know how the island hopping in Siargao works but it's getting a bit weird because you're probably the Nth vlogger, since the Philippines reopening from lockdown, who had more than enough time to visit or explore the island but didn't vlog or feature the so called "Windows XP default desktop background", Siargao's Corregidor Island. Does the boat driver or maybe the tour guide have to be in a certain mood? Only 3 foreign vloggers have gone and featured that island this 2022 but 2 of the 3 are Siargao residents for almost 3 years now, and the 3rd just love Siargao, so they have been going there for years. But the Pamomoan and Kawhagan Islands are new and nice.
We really wanted to go to Corregidor island however we couldn’t find a tour which goes so we would have to take a private boat which would be super expensive!
Im trying to plan a trip to the Philippines but the flight there is so expensive for me and i currently have no points I just turned 18 it so beautiful.
Keep an eye out for promos. In my opinion Philippine Airlines is the better choice simply because they have really good customer support. You can actually talk to an agent on the phone if there are problems. If you fly the other major carrier (I'll leave nameless), they only have chatbots.
Hi bro i am a solo traveler and saw ur palawan and siragao amazing guides, im planning to visit palawan then siragao how many days u recommend me to stay in palawan and how many days in siragao as i have 10 days for both
Only thing I disagree with is your recommendation on Kurvada. I was just there 2 weeks ago and it’s not cheap. I think social media and over recommendations to this place have many tourists come which of course increased in prices. There are better options food-wise that are not too hyped up by social media.
Joel, you mentioned the need for water shoes -- in jumping off the sharp rocks into the sea. RESORT OWNERS SHOULD TAKE NOTE -- and use a small sledgehammer to FLATTEN most of the POINTED TIPS of the rocks -- to make rock surfaces a bit smoother to step on. This will make rock-jumping safer and more enjoyable for a lot of tourists.
I’m from Siargao but I am here in New Zealand. You have pronounced Alegria incorrectly and you have made me laugh when you are pronouncing “Magpupungko” (which is just 5 km away from our home). Don’t get offended as I think most foreigners are having a hard time saying those local beach names and we already get used to it. It’s alright, I’m glad that you really enjoyed exploring Siargao, my hometown.
I came back from a week in Siargao. Beautiful island with many things to do. Correction to your video though, I have been to Raja Ampat and none of these locations come close to how epic Raja Ampat is. I suggest you see Raja Ampat in person. The island hopping tour is crazy touristy and I would personally not recommend it - its a couple islands covered in people. Also I would skip your #11 suggestion. It's a spot you can jump in a river that isn't that scenic, they only have a bamboo raft for instagram pictures only - its not functional and overrated.

Been in Siargao Island for our event. Good times never last, best people and best place ever. The Island Hopping was incredible and I really love it.
Wow! Someday will meet you Siargao.

December through mid-February is the rainy season on Siargao. The best time to visit is April through October.
Very informative.
Thanks Joe and Emilia for your great tips, they helped us a lot - and then we booked a private tour combining all your most interesting tips from our point of view - and yes, Kermit really is a good restaurant
It’s definitely one of the best on the island!

Stay at a hotel with Starlink.

Nice vlog guys.
As a surigaonon i confirm the island is off the coast!

Did yall stay at Kermit as well?
HI!! My husband and I are currently planning our trip. We have 4 days that we can spend on Camiguin or on Siargao. What would you recommend??
go directly to siargao
It's pronounced Shar-gao. Or Shar-go however is easiest to read haha. I lived there for a bit :)
Great video! Did you need a license to rent a scooter?
Curious to know if its very crowded and touristy?
Only thing I disagree with is your recommendation on Kurvada. I was just there 2 weeks ago and it’s not cheap. Can you say how much it costs to stay there, like room and board for two weeks, thanks
Next Stop , Banaue Rice Terracess, Philippines
Quick question......do you need yellow fever vaccination certificate travelling from UK to enter the Philippines?
I can't pick where to go? Is it better than Bali
Is it okay to go here in march ?
Yes, peak dry season

Leave natural features alone
No, they should not move or do anything to the rocks. Leave them be and let the tourists visit at their own risk.
If you could only pick three of these to do, which would you pick?
Is there anybody else who can say something more about the cheaper tour to get to sugba lagoon
😍😍
Is it okay to hire motorcycles without drivers license?
Well obviously not

when is the best time to visit philippines?
If you're after the beaches, Feb- May are your the safest bet. clear weather and blue skies. Rainy season starts at June end could last until dec

how about the w$$ed there?
You were doing well until you compared it to Bali
Seems like a lot of money to spend.
Pronounce the island name correctly... its not sharigao, its shargao.
Well he tried so don't be such a bitch
Oh yes but just responsible for all the garbage
