  • I was able to swap out my replacement Dimension 2350 for my original 2350.
There's a lot of history behind this computer. For a 9 year old computer, one that I used everyday from 2003-2008, this computer has held up very very well.

I've been using the same dell computer that I got new when I was 14 in 2008. I'm 23 now. Don't have a need to replace it. I love this computer.

I had the same computer my entire childhood until I was around 14, which was in 2010. Here it sits in my bedroom on the floor, VGA port not working correctly (blue piece came off, tried to put it back on), and Windows XP Professional installed on it. I swtiched out my CPU for a higher clocked one from another PC. Upgraded the ram to 1 GB as well. I cannot find a suitable video card to put onto it to fix the display issue (wont display all colors, gives me lowest option). Driver issue maybe??

the lack of AGP is what I hated about these machines, serviced many of them in the day. I think the 2300 was the 1st machine Dell sold with floppy as optional. Also I think there are hacked drivers that work on Vista/7 32bit for the SB Extigy. The 2350 is fine for browsing even today, but things like flash video may be slow. That ATI card certainly helps though.

I have a Sony VAIO VGC-RB43 Desktop Computer.
I have XP Professional SP2 on it.
I has 512MB RAM, and I upgraded the graphics card to a NVidia GT610. Do you think I went a little overboard with the graphics card regarding the other specs?
And it has a 3Ghz pentium 4 HT. It was made in 2005.

Erik Do not EVER install any hardware too advanced for it. Some motherboards aren't designed for it.

Billy O'Reilly don't be stupid billo clone the GT610 can easily work in that it's a tiny GPU taking no power at all it's a pcie 2.0 card and will work perfectly in 1.1

      GLENNBECKFOREVER
I am not a Bill O'Reilly clone. I actually own my last name and I am a different family. My family has been using the last name as far back as either the 18th or 19th century. I am the 5 in my family to use the name Billy O'Reilly. My great great grandfather, my great grandfather, my grandfather, and my dad use the name. So don't ever relate my name to that idiotic Bill O'Reilly from Fox News.

Billy O'Reilly Exactly, you're far too stupid to be Bill O'Reilly

lol, I still have that Sony desktop but I really don't use it that much now. I much prefer Apple systems honestly, and I'm hoping to get my hands on a MacBook Pro with Retina Display this summer.

i run a hp pavilion a250n made in 03 it has a 2.60 ghz p4 processor with hyper-treading it had 512 ram but i put in 2.2 gig has original 120 gig hard drive and a nvidia geforce 4 64 mb vid card
the only thing that went bad was the power supply got a used 350w fore 10$ so not bad for a 9 year old hp i gut it free 2 years ago it runs ubuntu juts as fast as a new computer with 7
