    • @bittech1
      @bittech1  3 роки тому +4

      @@DJaquithFL Unfortunately @Ballistical 935 is completely right on this one, the fins are tricky since I can't use a slitting saw setup. That means I'd have to use 0.3mm endmills, which aren't really long enough and are also supremely risky in copper. I could do 0.5mm or so, but then I'd be worried by then about the cooling performance. Fortunately I happen to know what the EK block will look like, believe me it'll be worth waiting for.

      LOL 🤣 I'm sure by the time I can even get my hands on an RTX 3090 EK will have their blocks ready. I feel like I'm unicorn hunting. I hope it isn't this bad with the AMD 5950X.

    • @GENcELL2014
      @GENcELL2014 3 роки тому

      @@bittech1 looking at waterblock geometry why can't you use a slitting saw like you said? Within a minute of searching I found a 63mm OD .3mm thick HSS metal slitting saw fine pitch.
      All it sounds like to me is finding a slitting saw with a thin enough edge and fits into a collet(adapter), than after all standard machining fixture the piece of copper/brass mounted perpendicular to the cnc bed using a "tombstone" like in a 4+ axis machining opp. It's undercutting(machining under a lip or cliff) so I can see how that isn't something you'd have done before.

    Looks really cool. For your future builds, I see a possibility to connect VGA AND CPU waterblock right into back panel without tubing. Just in the same way as you did with radiator. It will require custom machined waterblocks obviously, and will be a hell difficult to avoid leaks but still possible.

    Good lord Alex ! Where to start. I know I’ve posted a bit of praise on Facebook and other platforms, but you’re videos here are my favourite bits of modding content there is.
    You’ve really outdone yourself with this build, that IO shield is the most amazing bit of aluminum work I’ve ever seen, and pairing it with the frosted acrylic to make use of such smooth lighting !
    I chose to try a bit of leather working on my cmws build solely because of you’re work on Bloodlines, back before I was in any Facebook groups I was always following this channel. Now with Ensis you’ve added so many new inspirations in just 3 videos. Please keep it up!
    Side note , the fact that you had one panel not work out, and you still managed to push through a video with positive and excited vibes towards the build is quite impressive. That panel that didn’t work most of been many hours of work and I feel for you’re loss there man!
