    Great job, this is absolutely astonishing mate.

      I seriously don’t get why anyone building a personal system doesn’t build their own.
      If it’s a system for someone else or just for show I get people want quick and dirty, but gamers/tech people take pride in unique builds, but today that just means they picked all the white versions of parts rather than doing much themselves.

    • @bittech1
      @bittech1  3 роки тому

      @The king Charged Even if you have to buy the tools the first time, it’s usually cheaper or at worst about the same to make your own vs buying a Cablemod set. The flip side is it does take ages and it’s higher risk.

    • @augustusvipmail
      @augustusvipmail 3 роки тому

      @@bittech1 I am thinking of going with both cablemod and custom own made cables by getting a short PSU type specific from Cablemod to cover those 2-to-1 wire fusions and then create my own extension cable with nice full runs. Would it be a good idea or would you object against it? (Other than the cost, because shorter cablemod cables not that much cheaper than longer ones and I have to get accessories for custom cable making too.)

    • @bittech1
      @bittech1  3 роки тому

      @@augustusvipmail It’s not a bad idea in itself. The advantage to the method you listed is that you could easily swap PSUs if you needed to, since any would be able to plug into the extensions. I’ve done this before but with homemade direct cables and it’s effective, if a little messy.

    Just want to place this as a warning here to everyone thinking about buying gigabyte/aorus:
    The RGB Fusion Software (which for most of the mainboards is the only way to control the color of the leds) is MASSIVELY flawed.
    It WIPED all my connected drives after restart, which seems to be a bug that only some users experience, most likely happening in conjunction with Adobe CC or Office products installed. I know that this sounds ridiculous, and I have no explanation how an RGB Software could be written SO poorly, in order to cause this. (Google "rgb fusion drive wipe", I didnt make this up)
    I was lucky and could restore most of my data, but lost 2 days in the progress, had to reinstall my windows 3 times and had a painstaking search for the issue, until I found others reports of this issue.

    Looks absolutely great, so I'm not alone who thinks that RGB Fusion 2.0 is total and complete trash. As a software dev myself, I find it unbelievable that this software is supposed to be a flagship LED control for the Aorus platform. I think Gigabyte should just write it from scratch and fire everyone involved with the current project. Are you working with Gigabyte on this build, maybe you can let them know how horrid the Aorus RGB control is.

I think you should charge Gigabyte more for this work of art to have to deal with their RGB b******t, not to mention their rebranded no-name PSU with nonsensical pin-outs. I too gave up on tryna make their RGB BS work and just left it at default rainbow...not to mention the Z390 xtreme spotty PWM controls...they randomly disables my NF A12x25. Should have a global anti-trust lawsuit against sh*t like these that doesnt work

    oh my god that is glorious! wow Alex, just wow. its clean, sharp and monochrome futuristic looking with the RGB off, but when its on, perfectly diffused throughout the whole build with no directly exposed LEDs anywhere, the whole thing turns into a single glowing crystal sculpture that looks both solid, sharp, mechanical, cold...but also light, ethereal, floaty, warm and alive. it definitely transforms it entirely and was well worth the effort! super incredible work Alex!! seriously.
    ALSO BIG UP THE 4K!!!! its on the edge of what my internet can handle, but i was patient, waited a bit, and watched this beauty in all its glory, on the TV, and not the laptop. seems like you got a few new toys (RGB accent lights? not sure what they're called) and i can't wait to see the fun stuff you do with em. its hard to imagine your videos getting even better, but seeing dem surface finishes in 4k will undoubtedly evoke new levels of appreciation for your impeccable attention to detail. borat says; VERY NIIIICe!

I've always seen it as a massive underground crystal-like structure or like supermans cave! lol I see why the PSU gave you problems with the wiring, but as you said, the worst bit was the RGBW LED´s. So I was wondering if you say you've got some new projects that are gonna be connin up, Then do you think you can top this AORUS design? I doubt it. It will take you a fair bit of time to hit that one on the head as well... Glad you enjoyed building and designing it. You have certainly grown as a maker and You now I.m.h.o. are one the best "Custom builders" that I have ever seen, and if anyone disagrees with me I will show them this project and dare them to show me something better.
