- Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas everybody! Now what Christmas would be complete without a bit of modding cheer eh? Alex managed to pull the chassis together just in time for the holidays, it definitely wasn't a simple one either.
The Alphacool LEDs I use in these plates are found here:
Flexible - bit.ly/35QTtkx
Rigid - bit.ly/33MtAkh
My CNC router is a CNC Step S1000T w/ Mechatron 800W air cooled spindle. I use Datron tooling, primarily their 4-in-1 single flute wiper polished endmills.

Best custom pc builder on tube. Right here
I wish I could do 10% of what he does, like jesus christ, theres such a standard for perfection on his projects, its nuts
pc sculptor I would call him
Correct
Yep. Have to agree.
No doubt about it
5:56 My husband and I were debating on which colony the base panel looked like lol 😂 Oh and btw, amazing build so far! The extravagant details add so much personality and character 👌
Tennessee?
This guy is not human, he's a machine :O
Happy holidays guys
that gorgeous
AQUACERAS status?
Fantastic work and craftsmanship as always. I lol'd at your dismissal of the people being critical of your choice on the back plate. I often find those who are the most vocal critics are usually those who never deisgn/build/create anything.
This is turning out to be my favorite project of yours so far. It isn't a case mod - it is art.
18:53 the moment of perfection
I was impressed with that as well. Jeebus, this guy cures my OCD.
I too was like "WTF" i mean, the amount of precision involved in pulling that off is insane
@@NJcinemaHD indeed, I hope he posts a video about this measurement and how to implement it on software
Amazing moment.
Perfect Christmas gift, thank you.
It is so beautiful that it makes my head tilt!!!
What an awesome Xmas vidéo, and what an incredible PC ! Well done, you're definitely the best PC builder through the whole world...
Men! That's amazing... This is not only a water cooling build, this is a incredible work of art. Congratulations for all the effort and work that it takes to do it. Simply amazing
wow, i knew it would be stunning once you put it all together but this is just insanely cool! I can't wait till you do the wiring on this! =) Merry Christmas
how about in the future bead blasting the sheet before cutting out the shape.
Linus with unlimited budget builds some shitty pyramid. This guy with 1/4 of the resources builds a masterpiece. Money can't buy creativity and attention to detail.
Could you use clear silicone seals instead of the black one?
I cant wait to see the last two videos on this, it's wicked!! and you are an inspiration to many with your bespoke designs!!
I love designing too, so I love your high standards when perfecting your work to this level. Brilliant yo!!
Yessssss best present this Christmas
merry xmas everyone
How come your acyrlic stays see through when you mill it, mine becomes frost when using a flat endmill
I use balanced endmills designed specifically for acrylic + a mist coolant system. You want to dial in the speeds and feeds specifically for your machine though.
HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE 1million plus subs? Been watching you since 10k and still can't believe you haven't absolutely exploded with this amount of awesomeness.
Best klmoustache custom
What an awesome project. For the thin panels: would it help to blast the plate before cutting? The edges should not be visible so might get away with it. Another aspect: Dose blasting the panels work harden the aluminum? If so they might be easier to flatten again if you anneal them first. Anyway looking forward to the next part ;)
Extremely elaborate build!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! STAY SAFE!!!
That build looks SOOOO good!!! Mastercraft!
Can you put a list of songs/tunes/music you are using in your listings? I'd like to know the tune from 11:00 at least...please.
Happy Holidays Alex! My Uncle is in a tier 4 zone so I know exactly how you feel. Happy Christmas everyone!
Only gripe I have with this entire fantastic video is the fact you didn't list all the music tracks you used throughout!! Nothing more frustrating than hearing a cool track in a video only for it NOT to be acknowledged in the description box! You're not alone with this though dude - almost NO youtuber ever bothers and it's an endless source of irritation for me.
Other than that tiny thing .... AWESOME video man!!! That build is simply MIND-BLOWING!!
This is coming together amazing. I don't get why you just have 110k subs. Your builds have superb quality and amazing details. Keep it up! Can't wait to see it finished!
merry xmas
Wow! I'm watching this and cannot believe what I see! It would be amazing to be able to buy something like this...because I would never be able to make it. The knowledge and craftsmanship and machines required are staggering. ...I love to see the mill run. It is oddly relaxing!!! What an amazing, functional, piece of art!
There is awful a lot of engineering and machine programming involved in your projects. What is your background? I absolutely love your rigs.
Revealing your humanity as you show your artistry is much appreciated. Fantastic build. Merry Christmas!!
Alex, I have no idea how you always seem to manage to do a build that always 1 ups your previous build, in complexity as well as visually.
Here I am still trying to complete my own 500D build (lots on my plate the past year)
Would love if I could get your cad fikes on your acrylic work on the 500D to help with my mods.
Wanting to do a back acrylic distro and a inside back distro beside the mobo with some cable holes for cable management.
I9 9900k
Asus maximus xi formula
Royal golds
Rx 580 ( till i can get my hands on a 3080)
Love your work keep it up, wish i was good at 3d modeling in CAD
A list of soundtracks would be nice. Liked the 2nd soundtrack on Yamaha HS7+Subwoofer. Very nice beat.
I have enjoyed this whole build series. The build is extraordinary. Love watching the CNC work.
Finally!!!!! Just remarkable this build. This is truly mind blowing. Very inspiring to me. So much that i am designing my own.
Please work on an apple inspired aio gaming computer. 27” 4k144hz panel with high end mobile gaming components like a 4900h or a 10980hk with a 2080 super or possibly a 3070 mobile, all inside of a bead blasted cnc machined aluminum enclosure that is razor thin with no bezels. You can even machine a stand that looks similar to the Apple pro display stand. Hell, just make the entire thing in that pro display aesthetic so there is plenty of ventilation for the high end components. I guarantee you that everyone would want to see this.
I have been more hyped on this than cyberpunk since yall started sharing pics on INSTAGRAM. Take money I want it. Or just send blue print ill buy cnc and build me one lmao. Love all your builds as always keep it up
One quick question, How to design the pcie bracket to match the motherboard.
Is there any specification available?
Mr. Beardman, that's an "awful" loads of patience and effort gave in. OMG. . Love em. Merry Christmas to you and stay safe!
For media blasting your aluminum inserts... Try some 3M double sided tape, the thin stuff. Put painters tape on the back side of your insert, then take the 3M and put it on the mask tape, then just fix them to a piece of wood or thicker aluminum. After blasting you can just peel the painters tape off to remove the inserts from your support backing. I use this method often when heading thin aluminum, just be sure to leave an area on your support backing where you can access the painters tape to start the peeling without bending your inserts. Hope I explained that well enough and hope it works for you if you try it. The system is looking quite gorgeous. If be an Aorus fanboy if RGB Fusion 2.0 wasn't so horrendous.
Back when you did the motherboard tray I was scratching my head over why the 24-pin was running to the top edge. I went back and paused at various parts to make sure I wasn't imagining it. Now, seeing the combs, it all makes sense! :D
I'm looking forward to seeing the cabling, as I think it's going to add to the build a lot more than people realise.
It's coming out great. Love the way it's looking. Merry Christmas.
Alex you've really outdone yourself yet again. The way those IO ports and the GPU line up on the back... It's just... Perfect.
The backplate of the GPU indeed was a great choice! It's the centerpiece of the build when you take a look inside. Beautiful.
For the thin sandblasted parts: it would be very watlsteful, but perhaps you could blast thicker pieces, and then take a few mm off of the back?
Ps: nice touch at 8:14 hahaha
Your fantasy and skills are unfuckingbelievable stunning! More than full respect!
Merry Xmas
This is beyond imagination, the concept, the implementation... fantastic and inspiring! Will you use frosted tubes? Maybe with those fittings that can illuminate the tubes' core/insides?
This is the best custom build I seen period. Awesome job keep up the good work. Its gonna pay off.
Nice cameo you *dropped* in there LOL!
Happy holidays, mate. Great to have a big update to watch for Christmas weekend.
Bet you had a few choice words for the culprit who opened the door Alex! Happy Christmas & New Year, keep well, and best wishes from New Zealand.
My favorite christmas gift. Man what I would pay for a custom build like this. Just give you a theme, and parts, and let you run wild. This is art.
I wonder how does aluminium inserts would look like with a black powder coated finish and orange LED lighting. Just for contrast, so to speak. :)
Actually that slab of granite (1:00) looks really cool as a base for this "case". 😉 No joke.
You absolutely outdid yourself on this one btw. Truly epic.
Woah! Flabbergasted.
Just have no words how impressive Ensis turned out.
How much does that beast weigh?
Clickspring used wax or something similar for securing brass down for use in a lathe. might be worth looking into for your aluminum deforming.
cheers for sharing an epic build.
Merry Christmas
subbed! updating my rig from soft tube to hardline and your videos have been invaluable.
yours truly,
tier 4 compatriot. (or is it 5 now)
All the work you have done for this one is turning out beautifully, can't wait to see it filled and wired up.. Also Happy New Year Mate!!
So absolutly georgius.... i am in love with your builds.... that at home would be a Dream come true... cant understand, that you not have 5 mio subs with the stuff you are doing.... it is so awesome
Fantastic work as always, but sometimes the mass of screws and O rings spoils the looks. I know there is probably a very good reason, but why cant you glue the two halves together without screws or O rings?
This is art man.🙏
You should make a very comprehensive beginners guide for custom psu cables!
Merry Chirstmas, this project is even better than the project royal crystal; really hope one day you can do a full rog-themed project!
Oh.... oh...... if this is just "modding"... Picasso is "just" a painter .. This is ART!
P.S. for your one piece that warped did you consider facing the paet flat then juat machining a small plate or spacer to make up the gap ? Little less time consuming and cost effective.
I'm looking forward to the AORUS Ensis gagreel.
Fantastic work and craftsmanship! one thing i dont get. Why not paint the 3D printed parts.. yeah i know its not easy too see. but still..
Add 4th axis to CNC, that'll eliminate 23 hours of 3D printing.
I've never wanted to buy a CNC machine so bad than right after watching this video. Amazing work!
WAU, I am an Aorus fan and from your project of - trident z I follow you, I love your projects you are one of the most complete moders of pc luck with your projects
What CNC machine do you use? Looking for one and would like recommendations
i just dont understand why this channel dont have more subs! Your work is the best ive ever seen by far! Your skills are one of akind man! Merry Christmas!
This is gorgeous! Can I ask what that sheet metal you're cutting is? Has a nice finish to the top surface. Is it cast aluminium?
I just came for the intro, thank you
To call that "a computer" is almost an insult.
It´s a friqqin piece of art...a complete masterpiece !
If you are still fighting with the metal inserts you might want to just glue them down to a surface before blasting them and then remove them after.
I LOVE frosted acrylic, need more electronics like this.
Wow ! Man your work and skill is unparalleled! Amazing!
Merry Cristmas
Can't go more end game than that!!! Absolute masterpiece !
What is the name of the material you use? Translucent acrylic? Frosted?
Absolutely incredible build so far, cheers man!
Greetings from germany. Awesome work! You got my sub!
hell yeah, favorite christmas gift so far
HOT DAMN!!! What a thing of beauty.
Who would give this video a thumbs down? Good grief!
Damn this is sexy. And the computer is nice as well.
Are the custom PC's you build commission builds ?
why not make custom waterblock for aorus gpu
At least you don't have LN2 tanks as well....
A little late, but hope you had a Merry Christmas!
Thats one way to not have to worry about GPU sag I suppose
Anybody know what the track is that starts at 17:03 please?
Love how it all turned out so far. It's going to be glorious with the tubes and cables done. I was a little disappointed at big chunker being 3d printed instead of milled aluminium but it's probably not doable on your machine and you hid it fairly well. Looking forward to the next part and the montage.
if this chassis is common at market in 2077:
love the linus bit for dropping stuff
A Wonderful case and work, man !
boy !!! you are next level ...love your work !!!
It looks the business, but I'm concerned about the weight of the graphics card being supported by only the backplate and PCIe slot. Having been a system builder in my early career i saw many sockets damaged due to improperly supported graphics adapters. Have you thought about additional structure to fully support he card? Or is this one of those that is more of a demo build, and wont remain assembled for longer than it has to?
Either way, awesome work. I love seeing your projects come together.
Bear in mind that GPU is more firmly supported by the backplate than a regular GPU is in a system. Unlike normal, this is bolted into the frame itself, and also has the added rigidity from the block, backplate and tubes. It's also slanting 30 degrees, which considerably reduces the moment compared with a normal horizontal setup.
Question, why did you chose that cnc over something like a low end tormach that is capable of doing more? Is this machine just really good at cutting plexi? Did you get a good deal or a sponsorship? For almost 5 grand usd you can get a pretty nice low end cnc machine.
A tormach is significantly more expensive when you add the parts that make it worth owning. The other issue is the bed size. I cut a lot of panels, very few of these would be possible on something smaller than an 1100 machine, I can’t fit an MX1100 or similar in my workshop.
did somebody puke up up a Halo design
