I have a Burns Marvin bass, it,s the best bass guitar I've ever had great tones. John Rostil was the best bass player that The Shadows had R I P John.

Great that someone actually remembers John Rostill. I think Burns basses are very much under-rated.

@@adamdixon6326 The new bass range made; in Korea or somewhere like that are excellent. As a dyed-in-the-wool pre-CBS Fender Precision Bass player, the new Burns are great, espcially the 6-string Bison or whatever equates to that model. Telephone the Burns UK factory and ask what they have on offer. The are really freindly and helpful people.

Nice to see any good alternatives to the Precision or the Jazz keeps up the quality. Have two precision one Fender other copy by Vintage, also have Hagstrom version which is pretty good but they went too far in slimming down the neck resulting in a little bendy one. Interested in Burns but have not seen any for sale. Yes Rostill was a loss even though replaced by Locking.
