This video is going to be on part 3 of the flatbed build installing a trailer connector and receiver on the 74 Dually. If you guys heard my plan for the truck/channel going forward I want to buy a trailer soon and use the 1974 F350 to pick up and rescue other trucks and get them back on the road!
The 4 pin trailer connector and receiver I ordered from etrailer.com. The receiver I've had for a long time and didn't find the exact one. I originally used in on my 70 F250 and it actually first the 74 as well(I'll go over the fitment in the video).

4 pin trailer connector - part number C55301
CARGO LIGHT(If you just want to see the cargo light install it starts at the 7:45 mark)
Lastly I ran the cargo light a little different than stock since I needed to replace the original switch but added a custom touch to it and I think its in a much better location.
Any original replacement parts I ordered from LMCtruck.com

That glass on that lamp does give it a good “feel”. Dope. 💪🏽🔥

It does! They don’t make things like the used to.

    Nice towing set up.
The 34" frame width goes all the way back to at least 1953 maybe even earlier. My 54 F100 has the same frame width. I believe the 34" frame width is a industry standard for heavier trucks. The cab & chassis trucks have had the 34" frame width from the cab back for a long time. I think even the new Superduty cab & chassis trucks still use it. I think it just makes things easier for the truck out/up fitters that manufacture specialty boxes/equipment.

That makes sense. I saw a lot of different information regarding when it started or changed so I didn’t want to say exactly. I do actually want to mount a box on each side behind the cab eventually.

I haven’t. I don’t think I’ll have the time to do it plus with the cost of material. I have my eye on a flatbed at a junkyard and they aren’t asking much. It’s in good shape I’ll probably just get that one, soon actually.
