For someone who decries others as stupid in this video you appear to be lacking knowledge yourself, at least with regards to the Jesus comments.
Socialism is materialistic and anti-theistic by design while seeing religion as being “the opiate of the masses”. It seeks to destroy religion and has relentlessly persecuted religious people wherever it has taken hold. Any religious socialist, layman or clergyman, was used to further the socialist cause but would still be mocked for their views and was seen as a "useful idiot" in the words of Lenin. Being religious and adhering to an anti-theistic doctrine such as socialism is a contradiction and anyone saying they are somehow both does not understand either point of view.
Individual policies, such as those relating public education or health care, are not the same as an ideology. In fact, Catholic social teachings are closer to modern social democracy (or the Nordic Model) on social welfare while remaining explicitly anti-socialist. The Nordic Model has been successful in a large part due to the countries in question, such as Sweden and Norway, being ethnically homogenous monocultures where the people are bound together through their Christian heritage. The kind of educational results and quality of life are far beyond anything socialism has ever achieved (or could ever hope to).
Some Catholic social teachings came about as a direct response to both the deep flaws industrial capitalism and growth of socialist thought during the 1800s, going as far as denouncing socialism in the encyclical "Qui pluribus" by Pope Pius IX in 1846 - two years before the Communist Manifesto was even published.
The mixed market economy is not a mix between capitalism and socialism. It is capitalism with a welfare system. Welfare systems are not socialist unless you have the skewed perspective that a large number of Americans apparently have, or are a right-libertarian/anarcho-capitalist - ideologies that are the bastard spawn of the left.
Jesus was not a liberal, socialist, conservative or adherent to any political ideology you can name. He was the founder of Christianity and centuries later John Locke founded liberalism on justifications straight from the bible and Christian culture, going as far as stating that "promises, covenants and oaths, which are the bonds of human society, can have no hold upon an atheist". Socialism is atheistic and materialistic by its very nature so it is always at odds with anything religious or rooted in religion.
If anyone responds to this I am not interested in lazy meme-tier “you’re so triggered” comments or baseless assumptions about my worldview to cover for your lack of basic knowledge relating to history and political theory.
Note: The terms “socialism” and “communism” are often used interchangeably and in most cases mean the same thing, just like in this post.

After seeing this, I might be a centrist. Right leaning centrist. But centrist. I mean I started noticing it years ago and it's only manifested moreso as time has dragged on. I'm not super informed, but I don't dabble enough in politics to have to have a hardline view on every single topic or subject of discussion.
I also think of myself as a right leaning centrist.
Best way to be. To me there's a few keypoints to decide which side you vote for. Do you support: abortions, open borders, socialism/communism, big government, reparations, high taxes, green energy, and gun control? Or are you on the opposite side of those arguments? If you're split with do you agree more with?
I'm definitely more to the right on all of those while being more centrist on gay rights while not really behind transgenderism, especially the whole letting young kids vote to mutilate themselves and share bathrooms based solely on "how thei identify"
No party or candidate is 100% perfect but most will vote down party lines and those are pretty defined in the list I gave.
The whole idea of the 2 party system was to keep balance in between the 2 but lately it's gotten polarized and there's no bipartisanship, it's all or nothing and that is leading to a civil war when there's no middle ground
I took the stupid poltical test it said I'm straight down the middle leaning left atcually but I vote Republican. I don't agree with everything the right stands for but it's more in line with my views. Abortion being the number 1 factor for taking the leap to voting republican. I think its one of the worst things society has tried to normalize.

I can see how people came up with such a thing. His whole thing was loving everyone equally and giving everyone equal chances. However that is unrealistic and he knows that. He doesn’t force people to believe in God but gives them a chance.
@@thefool5460 exactly. And there’s tons of verses in the Bible both old and New Testament where it says if you don’t work you don’t eat. What Jesus taught was charity where you volunteer through your own volition to house an orphan or feed the poor which isn’t socialism. Fun fact, the Romans would toss their babies out in the street if they had birth defects leaving them to die and because of Jesus teachings Christians would find these babies on the street and adopt them. I realized Christianity was true a couple years ago and God came here as man and died as man to pay our bail for sin after studying history and prophecy. It even baffles the minds of historians and atheists how precise these prophecies are and how archaeology matches them and they try to work around the truth to deny the truth. When Israel became a nation again in 1948 just as foretold it set in motion a bunch of prophecies fulfilling and now there’s been tons of men, women and children having visions of Jesus returning just as foretold. Even Muslims are having dreams of Jesus as not a prophet but as God. I had a vision myself straight from revelation. Interesting times we live in.

I find the Commie's kinda weird on the Jesus is a commie thing. He was about redistribution with your neighbors and family, not literally everyone. And religious folk tend to actually do stuff like give each other jobs, cash, food, housing better than any government could.

In regards to min wage. If the poor communities especially the Black communities can point to one thing that had the most negative impact to their livelihood it was min wage. Before most teenagers were able to find work because our service industry was booming. It allowed for a small wage but the ability for tips. For example full service gas stations, restroom attends, there were so many jobs lost when min wage was implemented. One should have the ability to negotiate one’s worth not have it told to them by the government. Check out Thomas Sowell on this!

Finally they create a prison system which is next to impossible to get out of. Making fines so large and due quickly after being release to force the individual to attempt to make money anyway possible since as a felony it’s extremely hard to get any decent paying job which causing them eventually to get processed back into the system.

When you bring up right-wing Christians, mentioning Jesus was a left wing hippie, but not at a Gov't level, that's exactly what right-wing Christians (mostly) practice! Much like Faith/worship is believing w/o seeing, and would not hold value if the belief was known/provable, giving does not hold personal value when forced. The Gov't not enforcing the giving = conservative ideology. Gov't forcing giving = liberal ideology. Jesus taught the value of giving freely, because it's the right thing to do (and needed), not giving because it is forced. This mirrors the choice of accepting him as your Savior and bearing the fruit that comes with it, or not and not being rewarded. An entire different discussion could be had on modern churches abusing this teaching nefariously is another conversation that should be addressed, but underlining meaning holds value. It's important for people to do a thorough investigation on the charities, churches, and any other organization they give to of free will...

Listened to headphones.... as a parent, it makes me question how I handle and interact with my children.... I’m a good dad don’t get me wrong, but it made me wonder whether or not my style will push them into having those kinds of feelings...
I don’t think I’m like that, but the urge to protect your children and see them succeed is overwhelming at times, and it doesn’t help that no parent knows what the fuck they are doing.... we dont know if our methods are correct until the children are adults and then it’s too late to make corrections. All we can do is the best we can, but the variables are innumerable and immense... what worked for one kid won’t work for another.... it’s all a fucking crapshoot and it drives us crazy with worry and doubt.
I replay scenarios over and over again finding ways I could have handled situations with my children better.... the self doubt, the hindsight, the pressure..... and the knowledge that you are setting the framework for how this human will behave and operate as adults, and whether or not their lives are successful and with meaning..... it’s why we do the things we do and say the things we say.... we are scared shitless and the stakes can’t be any higher.

Where I live said you can have a $15 minimum wage but in return there are jobs that say if you want the money we now require proof of education or a degree if your 18 or older. It will be $15 an hr by 2026. Some places will no longer hire you if you do not have one or the other
