If more people over 40 or 50 listen to Tom's music and didn't pass it up because of Tom's looks or the fact that it's rap music. A tons would also agree with most of his messages. Most likely becoming fans as well.

I think that it's absolutely wonderful that you and your partner at your age are fans of Tom's. It's not that I don't think more people over 40 would absolutely agree with a lot of the messages that Tom sings about. It's just most of a hard time getting past the fact that he's a rapper and how he looks.

I am white male and I can relate to this song. I grew up very poor. My white skin didn't do me any favors living in brown and black neighbors. I was attacked consistently for being white. We moved so much because my family was so dysfunctional and poor, It took me over 12 schools just to end graduating from Redlands adult school at the age of 25. Which I am so proud of. After quitting multiple drugs, I later went on to college and now have a good career and a great family that Im proud to take care of. I've now been sober for over 20 years and I love everyone the same. I don't judge a man by his skin color but rather yet by his character. Thanks Tom for your messages,

I think that just goes to show that a lot of people who don't like rap don't like the subject matter and message that is in most mainstream rap, rather than the musical style itself.
I listened to Eminem till he went off the left cliff. It's a joy to find Mcdonald. His music is so good.
I’m the same too. Everyone around me listens to rap and I’ve never enjoyed it... probably because most songs are about getting high, making money, and girls but not in a good way. This is beautiful and speaks way louder than the other crap rap out there. I can’t stop listening now.

I've been burned by all my family multiple times except my Mom who's my Ride or die even now. As a Christian woman who's almost 60 years old, I'm probably not your typical fan. I've never been a fan of rap but your music is amazing. I have so much respect for you because you are a true artist who is true to yourself. I love that you sing about brutal truths that no one else will touch. I also love your transparency. Friend of mine recently told me about Tom McDonald because she knows I like Upchurch. He does it all though from rap to country to rock. This guy must have a huge IQ. I listen to most of his songs. The way he passes his message while rapping and matching the right words is amazing. It is easy to make a nice song when you have nothing to say. Or say a message w/o a melody line or a style. To be able to combine both and with so much sense and truth, wow ! I think the reason why people like Tom is because he can sing also. He wanted to be a heavy metal singer but he said he did not have the voice for it. But he can sing really good so its a nice mix when he raps.
Plus he's one of the good guys promoting drugs and drinking is bad.
If I did not know who he was and I saw him on the street I might think he was a heavy metal fan or someone out of prison. I'm not into tattoos so I don't fully get it when rappers have so much. I only found out about Tom when Fake Woke came out. A lot of conservative UA-camrs made reaction videos.
Also I did not even know who Nova was and people would say in the video shoutout to Nova. I thought maybe it was a filmmaking crew or something. Had no idea his girlfriend is so good with filmmaking and they do this all on their own. Way better then a lot of the stuff from big record labels.

I've been working a thankless job and trying to start a business on the side. Today I met someone who is hiring me and looks like it's gonna all work out. I wanted to quit everything so many times along the way, kept a few hobbies and things to pass the time and keep my mind off things but your music made me feel like I could make it in a way. Then I thought Eminem and Marilyn Manson were finally bringing back music that had important messages and yes I've been across and thru many genre.
