I felt a little overwhelmed with no instructions and didn't want to break anything or do it incorrectly. Thank you so much for this video! You made assembling the enclosure a breeze and I have a very happy ball python with his upgraded enclosure :)
Happy to help!
I just wanted to say thank you- I am getting my first bearded dragon and your videos have been more helpful than anything during my research venture! & this video really was helpful & I was able to successfully put together my enclosure. Thank you for your videos! Side note: that stupid blue film SUCKED lol
Thank GOD for your video! I thought I was the only one struggling with all of that plastic. Thank you so much!
You are mine and my beardies hero. The instructions were just not working for me, so im extremely grateful you made this video! SO THANK YOU!!!🖤
Happy to help! Glad this video is working!
I'm not sure if this was just a me problem, or if this is common but my cage didn't even come with any instructions. This was SUPER helpful. Thank you so much
Yeah it doesn’t come with instructions not a you problem haha
Master beater here. That's a nice beating form
Haha thank you
Lmao
I didnt recieve instructions for mine so thank you for this 😂😊
This made building the enclosure so much easier! Thank you!
I’m so happy I helped!
My girlfriend ordered this. Guess who had to put it together… thank you.
Haha I feel that!
50 year old lady. The hammer part was a little difficult, but overall, pretty easy
I think people should realize also that if you do silicone the inside. You can always use a razor blade to remove it if you ever want to take it back apart for storage or moving.
This was perfect! Thank you so much! Im like pretty sure my enclosure didn't even come with the instructions! And thanks for taking the time to go over the silicone part as well I was planning to do it.
Happy to help! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this! Simple and straight forward.
That means a lot thank you
Tried a few other videos before finding this one and this is the best one out there.
Thank you
Also little tip if u dip ur finger in water before spreading the silicone it doesn’t stick as much to your finger
Oooo that’s a great trick trying that next time.
With the guidance from this tutorial video, I successfully put together my 4x2x2 Dubia enclosure for my upcoming Bearded Dragon. Kudos to you for making such helpful content!
Thank you! Happy I helped!
Thanks, Mondays build will be a little easier now 🤣
Helped out ALOT!! Didn’t even receive instructions 😭 but I got it together !
Happy to help!
Thanks for this! My kiddos and I had a good time putting the enclosure together with your help.
I’m glad I could be of service
Thank you so much! I’m preparing for my first ever reptile (leopard gecko). This saved me so much time.
Happy to help! Congratulations 🎉
Appreciate ya.. lol yeah that film made me feel like I was going to summon lightning bolts like Thor 😂
Yeah it was crazy haha
Got one before they made changes, recently got another last week and was much easier to put together! Plus lots more instruction videos available
Perfect description to set up our new Dubia V2. Thank you so much!!!!!
Happy to help
Thank GOD for your video! I thought I was the only one struggling with all that plastic. Thank you!
Happy to help!
Dude, thank you so much for making this video! It helped a bunch! My super adventurous baby ball python is starting to go through a growth spurt so i got this to give her plenty of room to explore! 🐍
Dude... thank you so much. I was about to throw this damn thing away.
Happy I could help
How does it hold humidity still having open screen tops? I’m currently using a 40 gallon aquarium with foil tape covered on top. My ball python about to outgrow it soon and I’m gonna need to upgrade to this. I was think animal plastics because it had no opened screen tops, but it’s pricey
Thanks for the video, just put in my adult Everglades rat snake into it. My last cage was a little too short and not enough height, this one is about perfect. Love this enclosure so far.
Happy to help! It’s a great enclosure for sure
Putting mine together tomorrow. Thanks for the helpful video!
Happy to help
Roaches living their best life
😂
Can someone enlighten me on the proper installation on door handle hardware? As far as what side the silicone strip and clear bits go on. Please???
Stop. Hammer time
HAMMA time!
I just ordered one for my blue tongue skink cant wait for it
Congratulations 🍾
thank you so much for showing the silicone part because I will be doing the same thing. do you recommend I silicone up the sides too? I'm going to be using an auto misting system and I'm concerned if water is sprayed near the top on the side that water will leak through the sides.
i THANK YOU for this vid, i followed it step by step and it made it SO easy 😁😁😁
Happy to help!
Thank you so much man 🤬🤬 didn't put any instructions in it i pay 311 for it and you cant even put some Damn paper in it
Happy to help
Best video out there ! Thank YOU !!
Thank you so much!
Many thanks! Super helpful video, got my habitat put together no prob!
No problem! Happy to help!
Thank you so much! Super helpful!
No problem! Happy to help
Dope Video, I'm planning to get one soon!
Thank you! They are great enclosures
Tip: Don't hammer on a carpet, you will have a bad time like I did
Helpful video thank you so much !!
Happy to help!
Thanks so much. Been thinking about Getty g brand
Happy to help
What kind of silicone did you use?
GE silicone 1
I literally just bought one yesterday was looking for a video on it its like you read my mind HEY HEY GET OUT OF MY HEAD
Hahaha it’s too late I’m in!
If I’m using something like reptichip would you recommend using the sealant? Or is it an extra precautionary step? Sorry for the dumb question, I’m a new ball python owner and want to make sure I do everything right. 😅
Not a dumb question at all. I do like to seal just cause if they spill water I don’t have to worry about leaks. But I do have one with reptisoil not sealed and it doesn’t leak. So entirely up to you.
@@ChiefSweetsUniverseawesome, thanks so much man and lastly do you notice any issues with keeping the humidity at the right levels? I currently have a mesh top on mine and can’t seem to get the humidity right so my hesitation with buying this Dubia one is that I’ll have the same issue
does the mallet come with it
It does
Thanks for the information
Happy to help
Thank you!😊
Happy to help!
what u consider easiest enclosure to assemble???
I was very interested and curious to see a good review of these after months of usage, great video Sammy, what do you plan on making with this specifically? Regardless good video. Will need future follow ups with this
Thank you! Yes I plan to really put it through the works. Now I will say it is a cheap budget tank so I don’t see it holding up that well but I’m gonna do a review after about 3 months and show what I think
Thanks chief literally watching your video while building mine
Heyoo! Lets go!
Could you use this for a massive dart frog tank with misting system?
100% just have to for sure seal the bottom with silicone
About to order it ❤
Nice!
first of all super helpful vid just copped one of these and a biodude bioactive kit and secondly jimi is the greatest
Let’s go! Appreciate you
My question is that even though it is cheap how is it for a snake and humidity requirements?
Not bad I will say. I have my ball pythons in two and it’s keeping humidity better than any other screen top enclosure I’ve ever had. The screen is extremely tightly woven so I think that’s why
Do you put this on the stand, if so, could you recommend one?
I stack them but I know what you mean I’m still trying to find a good stand myself if I do definitely will make a video about it
didn't look too bad to assemble is that pvc ?
Would this be sufficient for a baby boa constrictor ? To last it untill it’s like 4-5 years old ? Or longer ?
For a baby depending on species this will definitely be good enough for a couple years. Might have to upgrade at 4 years but would last a while.
At about the 7 min mark, what size tank is over your right shoulder?
My right shoulder that one is a Zilla quick build 48inche x 18inch x 18inch.
Adult bearded dragon care coming sooon?
Soon but a couple videos will be released before that one
Nice
Did your polls hammer in easily? Ive been at this for 1.5 hours and only have two of them in not even all the way flush 😭
They did not I had to hammer them in hard lol. I’m pretty strong as well
Finally got it with some help😂
You were right, not for the weak!
Thank you!
@@aril8594 haha I know right they took some strength to hammer in 😂
Is this a good option for a uromastyx? Can you recommend any lighting and heating videos of yours for the uro setup? We have had a 36x18x18 glass tank for him and are wanting to upgrade. At this point, his lighting has been set up on top of the enclosure and we are wanting to bring the lighting and heating inside at that top. It's our son's uro and it is baking his bedroom, so we thought internal lighting and heating with a pvc tank might reduce this a bit. I don't want to bake our uro though. We were thinking a thermostat would help reduce this risk. Thoughts or recommendations? Thanks in advance.
Yes I’ll make a lighting video soon as possible but so far my favorite uro tank is from DIY cages the 4x2x2 critter condo. Keeps heat in and I only have to use one heat bulb. Plus only a 75 watt one
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse Thank you! I appreciate the quick feedback.
can you use an under tank heat pad for the warm side with this or will it melt or warp the enclosure?
No it won't work. Most snakes, like ball pythons, should not be on heat pads anyway. It poses a burn risk even with a thermostat and will not help ambient temps and is not natural at all. Overhead heating is best
Idk if It’ll work with that enclosure but this other stuff is really the guys opinion. My ball and boas thrive well with U.T.H.
@@MrSmith-1588 ball pythons and probably boas shouldn't be on UTH. It's not natural, does nothing for the ambient temp, and poses a risk of burns even with a thermostat
@@MrSmith-1588 ok .. I totally agree mine loves the belly heat when he is digesting a nice juicy tasty rat. He gets that down his gullet and heads over to his warm hide for a couple days. UTH is only set at 81F and any heat source has the possibility of a thermostat going bad... you gotta watch for that
@@reptilelover597 5 years later. Still thriving. again what your saying is your opinion or maybe advice for someone who doesn’t know what they are doing…
Do you know how the extension kit works ?
I do not but someday I might buy it and try it out
Does this keep humidity good??
It’s ok not the best but ok. Better than a exo terra or zoo med but not by much
Do you think I could have a bioactive enclosure in this enclosure? I am worried the insects will climb out of the top.
Oh yeah all of mine are bioactive ones so this will work
ok thanks@@ChiefSweetsUniverse
The mesh is really thick on top, I mounted the uvb under the mesh but I have 2 halogen heat lamps sitting on top(100w & 75w) still not getting hot enough
Thinking of getting the Arcadia heat lamp mount that goes underneath with screw mounts, would that be the right move?
@@Entirely_Luck oh yeah I love that mount I use it on a lot of them
Do you know if they sell the screen covers with the cut outs to help keep in humidity?
That’s a great question I don’t think they do that yet
Do you have any tips for keeping moisture in for a ball python? @@ChiefSweetsUniverse
How you compare this enclosure to zen habitat? Which is better for bearded dragon?
To me the zen walls are stronger but they are pretty similar honestly
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse to put sand and rocks as substrate the zen floor is stronger?
Man I’m so sad I got ahead of myself and didn’t put the glass panel in before hammering the sides 😅
Haha you can hammer up and gently and it’ll pop up takes a bit and you can fix it
I can't tell if your hammering is causing the camera to wobble or if you added that effect in post!
Haha no that was from the hammering
😆
Just got mine, dunno how to set it up for an adult beardy
I have a setup guide just posted
What’s a middle of the road enclosure?
Hmm I would say maybe a custom reptile habitat enclosure. Then top tier would be toad ranch
How’s it holding up?!?
It’s going great so far 1 month in
I just received a Carolina custom cage from Amazon and it came broken. So I’m returning it and now looking at this one you’re reviewing . Do you recommend it? / What is the best one under $500 on Amazon do you recommend?
This one is pretty good. I do also recommend the ecoflex as well. Found here amzn.to/3NSoKca
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse that’s so funny, I legit have that one in my cart lol I’m debating on those two. Which one feels more sturdy to you?
@@lisa-g9u9e hmm they both feel very similar they do have a cheap feeling. I would say the dubia feels a bit stronger
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse dang, so if I want something that’ll last a few years I should prob go with a glass one huh? Not one made out of like cardboard lol
Hello! How are you? Hope all is well. So when is the ball python video coming out?
Yes gonna start trying to get that finished sorry for the wait
I ordered one.
It’s not a bad enclosure very nice
what you put in there?
Ball python
I just put mine together a week ago. I have a question. I have the Arcadia pro T5 36" and idk on how to mount it on the inside! Please help me! 🙏
Will make a guide on that asap should be out tomorrow or the day after
Omg, Chief! Please do! And thank you!
Hope to see the video soon. I just want to finish the setup so I buy my dragon asap.
@@Prado481 yes that should be done tonight!
You're the man, Chief! Can't wait!
Do you need an enclosure this big for them ?
For bearded dragons yes. Its empty so it seems relatively large but start adding dirt rocks tree limbs and it gets pretty small
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse I definitely didn’t read that as an enclosure for a bearded dragon lol I definitely read it like an enclosure for Dubia roaches lol I didn’t even think about it being a name of the enclosure.
@@brandonbaird3917 hahahah no I completely understand that haha yeah the name of the company is dubia cause they are the largest supplier of dubia roaches 😂
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse well I don’t feel as dumb now lol. I know you farm your own feeders, would it be possible to get videos on how you set up your set up if you have one for meal worms and dubia roaches ? I ask because I have a leopard gecko and if I don’t have to order food that makes it easier lol
@@brandonbaird3917 you got it I can definitely do some updates. I have a old dubia video I think it may need updating
i put the top on wrong anyone know how to fix?
Oh I did that too haha very gently tap it up with the hammer it’ll come off
WHY WOULD YOU SAY HAMMAR THAT IN? AND THEN A MINTIRE LATER HAVE IT NOT HAMMERED IN AND THEN YOU PIT TJE PLASTIC THING. I ALREADY HAMMARED BECAUSE YOU SAID TO HAMMER THAT IN. HOW TO DO I TAKE IT OFF NOWWW???
I say that you have to put the acrylic in at 4:10 then say you hammer it in then get the acrylic and start hammering it in. It was just a walkthrough of how to do it before you do it.
I stepped on mine with my foot and pulled firmly and it came out. Hope you got your setup done properly.
Can you enlighten me on the proper installation on door handle hardware? As far as what side the silicone strip and clear bits go on. Please???
Trick to removing the plastic is a hair dryer😊
Whooaaaa I’m gonna try that next time thank you
ima build my bearded dragon his own DIY terrarium
Very nice
Thanks
It’s gonna be 4ft wide and 2ft long
@@AlexAllenKale great size!
This is the worst enclosure I have seen. I just got mine in and the enclosure broke while attempting to hammer it in. There is no reason you should have to absolutly slam a piece of light metal with a mallet to put it together. 300 dollars wasted I’m getting a zen habitat
I also got a broken enclosure as well I think mine was broken from the shipping though they replaced it quick. Yes though the amount of force to put it together is insane lol
I got mine, put it together today. Box was in rough shape but the enclosure was perfect. The handle to the door has a cross threaded screw and they already have one on the way to me to replace. For the money, size and quality. I say it’s a great purchase. The dragon goes in tomorrow see will see how it holds up. I don’t see it having any issues tho.
@@markgoodaleii1903hey man looking to buy one, how's it holding up?
There is no reason to puncture the back of a tube of silicone. 😂
Haha bro whoever told me that years ago lied to me haha
Im so annoyed! its not international!
Ya mine was junk and 5 corners broke trash waste of money
You can contact them and they will send new parts for free
