I am not going to sit here and blame this amp for what I just did to it. I must have tested it 20 times and got it real warm before I decided to run
one more at 100hz. It just couldn't take it anymore on the load bank. It would probably still be alive if it were on an actual speaker.
That being said, Does anyone want this thing? I will send it to the first person that names this amp AND how much power it actually put out at 100hz (on the AD-1 Amp Dyno) before it burned up. This contest open to anyone in the world but you must live in the USA for free shipping. Anyone outside of the USA must agree to pay their own shipping if you really want it. It obviously does NOT work anymore and is more of a trophy or a showpiece. Hang it on the wall! Good brother, I'm from Brazil and I've been following your channel for a long time. Here in Brazil, this amplifier with an automotive processor is widely used. I myself have one of these in my vehicle... I liked the test carried out with a line that is widely used in our country. But when it caught fire it was awesome 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 Thanks little brother

Os módulos mono só têm uma saída RCA porque um sinal mono só tem um sinal dentro dele. Mesmo se ligarmos esse sinal mono em um par de caixas, as duas inevitavelmente tocarão a mesma informação, já que o sinal original é um só.

But you're right about the Brazilian boards though. They seem to be really powerful except really picky with their input voltages. From what I've noticed anyways. I am trying out a Surge PS4000.1 which is a Korean board. I've been really happy with it. Check em out

Honestly id probably hold onto it until i found some mosfets and whatever else fried and see if it could come back alive. Of not hang it and show it off in my shop. Just stay below 100hz and all will be chill.

Man when that thing hit 3083W @100HZ it tried to go back to the future!!! I would use it as a starting point for learning board repair and see if I could fix it or not. If not it will be a nice wall hanger.

I would replace the mosfets that fried and anything else, use it in my system in my van as an upgrade . shocked at the power it produced but pushed it a little to much, more than I thought it could handle .
I have a 2006 VW golf gsl . With 2 audio pipe 4 stack 12's dual 2 ohm on there own audio pipe 1,800 class d amps at half an ohm ( 2 amps , one per sub ) 155 db . I really want to hit 160 db .

Full bridge cant tolerate clipping but audiopipe 8000 h2 “the one I have” and h1 have a good protection system that shut the amp off if excessive heat and clipping occurs along with a bass knob w/clip indicator. You had the cover off preventing proper cooling it’s impressive it held up as long as it did. If you get another try dual inputs on pos and ground I have 4 - 1/0 sky high ofc cables for pos and 4 for the ground fused with your 8 anl fuse block and ground block.
nah. It happened way to fast. Even if I did get it warm by testing it a bunch of times. Those fans would not have stopped that. Dual inputs would have done nothing. It just didn't like what I did to it. I do believe that had this been on speakers, it would have lived longer. Music is dynamic. The AD-1 is ruthless...

I’d compare its internals to my daughter’s Taramps HD3000.1 then try to repair. Then use it on my Skar Audip EVL 18’s, mounted isobarically.

The 180n unless someone knows a better drop-in for a TO220 :) Stetsom uses some odd stuff.
@ellensburgamplifier they probably didn't even use the same fets from the same produce lot causing one or 2 to activate sooner than the rest.

I'm trying my hand at reconing some subwoofers for the first time. Old 1997 Cerwin-Vega Vega series 128's. I could try my hand at replacing those mosfets if the board isn't completely ruined, and have a rebuilt system! Give me a chance to redeem myself for being a troll in the past, Steve!

I think it is a good amp for the money. I have seen other dyno of this amp and it is a beast. I own the black 1 ohm.

I have no doubt that small amps can achieve higher power with modern technology. My biggest concern is for how long and proper heat dissipation/elimination. It might have also made it rated power but it was definitely “sawing” away at it dirty style.

Hey, I'd definitely be down for a Stetson amp with 3083 watts @ 100hz.
Put a new board in and swap those terminals for larger and it would be a sweet center point for my personal build.
Not sure what the issue is but your videos lately have had some black screen flickering. Around 5:00 it does it a bit. I've only noticed it on your videos. Possible camera issue? Been following for probably 15 years.
i don't know why it does that bro. I have been trying to figure that out for the last few months. I don't know what causes it. Maybe next video I will shoot in 1080@60fps instead of 4k and see if that stops it. It's annoying i know!

I'm just starting on a build in my extended cab ranger. 4 tweets, 4-6.5s,4-8s, and 4-12s with a 1/2 clear polycarbonate amp rank with all rockford amps WITH the links in between, but I would mount that sucker on there with everything else showing it off all signed and killed. 😂

if I had the amp if it was repairable which it looked like it just cooked 2 of the mosfets and a lil of the surrounding soldier and I'd pop it in my truck but if it's not repairable then it'd make a good thing to add on my wall which would make for a good conversation peice to have that would spark up some conversations especially with the others already on my wall with the other which btw non of the amps on my wall were cooked by me.. so ther you have it that's what I'd do with it
