I found my current system on marketplace and paid $300 for it. Two Pride M12 12's with an audio legion al2500.1 amp and xs d1200 battery. It actually shakes my windshield in my lil Honda civic.

Great vid, i really got to start making vids...i can tell if you had the stuff youd make some excellent systems. Well i am in the states and i can tell you that not many people here even want to spend the 800 US for that 8 inch system. Im trying to build the best buget system with available parts. Upgrading the electrical is the worst part. Making efficient boxes that provide full bandwidth is fun. I think you would benefit from building custom subwoofer.

Sounds like your "$5000" system needs to be tuned and gain set on it as well. as for the "$800" system it is what it is you can start off with an 8 inch but it really needs a 12 or 15 if he is set on running one speaker. Might as well get a dedicated amp to the sub which would deliver better power. Might as well use that Rockville amp to tune the front stage of the car. If he not going over 1000 watts for the sub I wouldn't worry about updating the alternator Clean up the wiring and the install of your speakers on your "$5000" system

@@scamchan the $800 doesn't need any upgraded alternator yes it's under 1000 rms but the stock battery he had in his vehicle was giving out on us so I got that change out yesterday now everything is ok again now he's getting the power he was suppose to be getting

On my SUV I have a 12inch hooked up to 800 watt skar rp amp and it rumbles really good. I want to upgrade to an 18 inch. I can switch my sub from 2 to 1 ohm on the fly getting that bass right!! Test your system out on some deep dubstep and play it on the channel one day.
I got the dual 12 EVLs in enclosure package (500$)and a (300$) box that I made (subs up port back for my 99 4runner tuned to 32hz) running on stock other than big 3 upgrade from extra wiring I had...I used all leftover welding wire 1/0.. didn't even change the battery out...alternator is a HUGE 80amps!! 😮 😂.. prob the lowest there is... my voltage.... crank up at 14.1. FULL tilt.....13.4 lowest I've seen.. zero distortion or clipping... taramps big boss 3k ($280 I think?)..... love it

What's most expensive is power and driver's that can use the power. So if one builds efficient subs it's absolutely doable. A friend needed a sub and i had a PA sub around still and even with just 15watts from the headunit it was quite loud as the sub outside already does 94db at 1watt and his car added about 20db to that so that's 114db at 1watt already! At ONE WATT😁
I love it one thing, bro don’t waste your money on a capacitor. All that is is a glorified voltmeter. Just do an extra battery big three upgrade and you should be good with a battery isolator if your batteries are different capacitors are just a waste of money, but awesome bro, coming in from Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States

I have a budget sound system in my truck that’s cost me about 600 the only parts I bought war pioneer AVH-270bt for $50 a tramp’s big boss 2K 300$ to incriminated death row 12s with a box 200$ (the incriminates cost 800 apiece brand new and the box cost 300 idk why he sold it that cheap) I don’t have good highs set up yet but that’s probably the next thing I’m gonna buy I’ve been building Soundsystem over the course of three or four years and I’ve been slowly upgrading everything in it because I started off with a 12inch PA speaker with a amplifier from a sound bar and I worked my way up to a Gothic 12 and Sony explod 1200 amp my homeboy now has that amp on a American bass 15 If you ever get the chance to buy a Sony xplod 1200 do it because is pushed massive subs at 2 ohms bridged no problem and to be honest, that was probably the best Tampa ever had even though the big boss three makes 10 times the power

Sucks you have import fees, that's wild. I have a single 10" Skar on the marine rp800 and a marine 1000.4 on the 4 6.5s, I have 4 batteries, 1 up front, 3 in the trunk as well as a 2 farad capacitor for just the sub amp. 0 gauge throughout the car and amps are on 4 gauge. Trunk also has a active crossover and a bass restoration processor. Upfront I have a Sony MEXN5300 single DIN and below that I also have a 7 band half DIN EQ. That little 10 I have rattles house interiors, I measured it out to be eating 600 RMS out of the 800 and it's wired @ 1 ohm, the doors are wired at 4 ohm at 150x4 and each speaker is receiving about 80 RMS, if I wire doors at 2 ohm they would then see full power from the 4 channel amp at 250x4. It's been 4 years since my install, it's in a 1999 Nissan Maxima, wanted to go DSP but I decided to keep the car era specific. So nothing to "new", only things that would have been available in the 90s are installed. I promise nobody believes me it's a single 10", most of my trunk layout is audio components which only left me with enough room for a single sub. I have it firing into the cab so when you open trunk all the components are on full display. Total build to date is $2,200. I also have way more than that, but it's quite a list, from a 13.3" touchscreen headrest monitor with HDMI inputs and outputs hooked up to a PS4, the PS4 is powered by a inverter (hence all my battery headway). I have a solar panel trickle charger I built into the sunroof which keeps the batteries topped off. My ICE (In Car Entertainment) is around $3,800 worth.

Don’t get that box just get a chuchero box it looks so much better u can get any size 6” 8” 10” 12” with that price of that “speaker box” you could’ve bought a 8” chuchero box for cheaper and the 2 tweeters fit right in the box instead of having them out in the air like that
I dunno man, I think my 2.5K system would be a good competitor.... Good alpine headunit on the focals put out good power, and a 1000rms subwoofer in a 35hz tuned box, its 12inch lol. My doors don't need an amp as the headunit has 50watts rms class D amp built in - get rather loud as it is

I have 1 zvx-12 1ohm... I have a 3,000 watt amp @ 1ohm, so just need to order another zvx to get down to that 1ohm. One 1ohm sub can only run @ 2ohms.

That little 10 I have rattles house interiors, I measured it out to be eating 600 RMS out of the 800 and it's wired @ 1 ohm, the doors are wired at 4 ohm at 150x4 and each speaker is receiving about 80 RMS, if I wire doors at 2 ohm they would then see full power from the 4 channel amp at 250x4. It's been 4 years since my install, it's in a 1999 Nissan Maxima, wanted to go DSP but I decided to keep the car era specific. So nothing to "new", only things that would have been available in the 90s are installed. I promise nobody believes me it's a single 10", most of my trunk layout is audio components which only left me with enough room for a single sub. I have it firing into the cab so when you open trunk all the components are on full display. Total build to date is $2,200. I also have way more than that, but it's quite a list, from a 13.3" touchscreen headrest monitor with HDMI inputs and outputs hooked up to a PS4, the PS4 is powered by a inverter (hence all my battery headway). I have a solar panel trickle charger I built into the sunroof which keeps the batteries topped off. My ICE (In Car Entertainment) is around $3,800 worth.
I bet an amp upgrade would be better for your brother's setup. Rockvilles don't do their rated power.
