The Beastly movie is so bad it's fun to watch, but it is a bit sad considering how genuinely charming the YA book it's based on is. The book isn't perfect or anything, but it's sweet and genuine and does good character development.
Why is the series called After? Because the titles just get worse the further they go on, Happy Ever After is right there but no swap it round because reasons?
But to an extent I’m fascinated how they make a prequel when the main couple meet for the first time in the first movie will it be about her and the high school boyfriend?
as cringey as this is to admit, I read this shit on wattpad way back in the day, and I think it’s because the stories take place “after” Harry and Tessa met (yes, very dumb and not creative, lmao). I don’t remember the wattpad books having these weird ass names that the movies do, though.
The fact that Ross couldn't say "Harry Styles fanfic" without laughing tells you all you need to know about After.

Great fanfiction isn’t usually allowed to be adapted. We only get plagiarized, unethical garbage like this and 50 Shades.
What we really need is a film adaptation of the infamous Harry Potter fanfic "My Immortal". I'd probably rather have a series based on that than either Fantastic Beasts or After. Heck, might as well bring back Hero Fiennes Tiffin as Tom Bombadil aka young Volxemort for the time travel scenes.
