Thanks man I used to not wanna talk about it at all but it’s such a huge factor in my life I can’t ignore it or come up w new excuses as to why I’m not posting for a period of time.
Great video, Joey!! Thanks for sharing your list and thoughts with us. I forwarded it to my local buddy who wants to main Lucci in 07. Ah and btw: good job on working on your speaking skills. Felt much better to listen to.
Thank you I didn’t realize I said like a lot lol so now I’m actively trying to not say it. Lucci is gonna be really good so this deck will have a lot of success for your friend if he plays it right
Interesting build and take on the BY Luffy matchup. From my experience getting to rank 1 on opbounty eastern, I preferred running Issho & nightmare luffy and then full starving them while you develop; only ever swinging into their lead early if I need the reduce for their 5c luffy they play on curve. On another note, I'm interested to know how you found bonney a problem. I feel the matchup is pretty in lucci's favour and the only real way they can beat you is either cheesing with Hodey or slam a 8c rosinante into a cavendish at an awkward time.
@@septo3466 5c Kaku? If so, yes I do run it. He fulfills a couple of roles: 1. Smooths out your curve midgame on 5/6don so you don't lose tempo 2. Against RPLaw or any 4c spam deck like doffy, he alleviates the pressure IF you don't see stage as you can still leader eff and pop 3. As Spandam is a top 3 search and not a 5, I like to have minimum 20 searchable targets for an 80% chance to not whiff on turn 1.
That’s interesting. I guess for my I attack into them once or twice to fuel my trash for gecko or lucci. Bonney is a massive problem if she gets Hawkins and allows him to stick. And especially if they steal going second they can realistically stack a bunch of bodies that put you too low too fast
I test Issho right now. And its amazing against every deck. Especially against BY Luffy. I think u need 4 Lucci. If u dont see him, its hard against RP law. And RP law is maybe the best deck of the format. Just my thoughts. I highly reccomment issho. 6 cost brook is amazing. I play it too :) nice video 😊
It’s like a hybrid aggro style cus I’m still leaving them at 2 life but punishing them when they are in weird positions which is common for luffy to be in
I think you misunderstood the Spandine Combo. You play Moria + Rebecca and Helmeppo. You use Helmeppos Effekt to reduce something and then Rebeccas effect to get back Spandine. Then you play Spandine into Lucci: If you had 1 body on the board: You play Lucci over Spandine. If you had 2 bodies on the board: You play Spandine over Helmeppo and then Lucci over Spandine. If you had 3 bodies on the board then you have to sacrifice one character but you are probably in a winning position anyway.
I understand the combo and how it works cus it’s similar to the gecko sword sakazuki combo. It just feels a bit win more sometimes is what I’m saying. Also bottom decking 6 cards to use it is a big ask
I respect the bipolar admission. I'm a MH therapist that's had anxiety, panic attacks, and depression so it's really nice to hear some honesty on that regard man! keep making vids but keep keepin' that balance.
Yeah it’s good we’re living in a time where mental health is acknowledged and we’re not considered like weak or something because something is wrong upstairs.
@@heartpiratestcg you're undoubtedly a better player* than me, but if there's room for one in the deck anywhere, it solved the black/yellow Luffy matchup. If I see the card I know I have a good shot at winning. I only run 2 brook, so I could always try upping that on my end
Yall are still losing to black yellow luffy? Okay then If yall played lucci since set 3 like the real ones and actually learned the deck vs hopping on "meta" every month youd know your matchups by now. Yeah, im salty that everyone all of a sudden wants to show love to lucci when they were too weak to slap ass with OG Lucci . What yall gonna do about it? Posers
Bro. There different leaders with completely different card pools in completely different metals. Stop being a bitch thinking your cool because you played lucci in op03 and lost to kata and zoro

Thanks for your insight. Did you run kaku in your list? From my testing it feels very mid and I'm considering to cut him ngl
Lucci really eats bonny. I think the problem with this list is it makes lucci other favorable matchups worse

I do like your aggro style in the MU. It's pretty interesting take.
It’s like a hybrid aggro style cus I’m still leaving them at 2 life but punishing them when they are in weird positions which is common for luffy to be in
Oh god. Here I have a consistent lucci list and here he comes to fuck my list up. Lol.
Yeah... He's making me reconsider my list as he destroyed B/Y Luffy so easily and that's such a hard MU.
Lmaooooo it’s still unfavored for sure but every deck list I play is weird and different and somehow works
@@heartpiratestcg I put 3 of the 6 cost brooks. I ignore Hawkins in Bonney. I'll just use Rebecca to eat his attacks.
You love those barts he keeps popping up in your lists for good reason
Lmaoooo those 2k blockers do something to me

@@heartpiratestcg agreed!
How do you feel about adding 1 helmeppo (the version where he drops the cost to 0 on any card that has no base effects) against Enels large vanillas
Bro, Yamato, R. Enel, Ace and Katakuri are all cards with effect.
That cards got some sauce and I’m interested in it for sure. I gotta see how relevant vanillas are
Why not use Fukuro instead of Bartolomeo? Can't be Ko'd by effects and is searchable.
Bart is a 2k as well
I like my Issho/Zombie Luffy... But using 6c Brook is an option too. Very unique deck build.
Yeah nightmare luffy is really cool for just luffy but brook is good into literally everything else lol. So I do value that a bit more overall
What do you do if b/y luffy has 2 sabos on board 😅
Take it a turn at a time lol
Did you talk to Michael curry?
He didn’t wanna do a vid cus he didn’t see the point. Nothing could realistically clear him of this. Which is understandable
Whats the name of the game youre playing?
The simulator?
@@heartpiratestcg yep
Why not the nightmare Luffy?
It’s too easy to pop as the kuzan build plays ice age
If you want to improve the black yellow luffy matchup, why arent you running black luffy? He can clear sabo and restand himself to go for lethal
Brook is still great into a variety of match ups where as luffy is only good into one or two
@@heartpiratestcg you're undoubtedly a better player* than me, but if there's room for one in the deck anywhere, it solved the black/yellow Luffy matchup. If I see the card I know I have a good shot at winning.

6c Brook > zombie luffy if people are going to play the kuzan list more frequently/consistently. If not then zombie luffy I think is stronger IMO
I couldn’t agree more. Every time I played luffy he’d just get popped by Sabo or some shit. Brook is so gas into everything else which is nice

🐐🐐
imho luffy zombie is the tech to win vs luffy by
I disagree cus it’s so easy to pop it especially if they play the kuzan list.
Spandam and Spandine are not the same
Damn my fault bro. Sound kinda similar tho no cap lmao

lol I mean sometimes people want to play viable decks and have a chance of winning. Also these are two different decks
@@MkGennyX yeah, your mom
Why? You have no reason to be salty. OG Lucci is ass. He was so bad they had to make a new one. 😂
