  • If you are at all familiar with HBCU you already know it's loud, major volume warning
    Original video: • New Orleans All-Star B...
I made the transcription by ear, I don't know who the original arranger is and I've already seen a couple of mistakes while uploading but I don't really care enough to go back and redo all of it to fix them
If you try to play along with the recording it might sound off because they're all playing so loud they're naturally around 40 cents sharp (basically a half step sharp)

For everyone in this comment section saying "this band is bad" the people in the comment section of this video say otherwise (song starts at 0.25 seconds btw)

Sounds like they're playing an entire half step too high... maybe a couple cents less.
Would love these bands if they sounded in tune.

Ya wanna know a secret? If you actually play in tune you actually sound louder because of overtones. You know, because of…science. Go to class.

They're trading off volume for tuning, but even considering how loud this is in person their tuning is pretty great

@@Avstinato no their tuning is god awful, no tone quality out of tune. and its not even that loud, it would be louder if they played in tune and in tone. and if you're trading volume for tuning.. yikes who are the teachers? need to have there teaching license revoked forever

@@Avstinato No im describing what good sound.. sounds like.. not blasting on an instrument to be "loud" maybe if these groups focused on fundamentals they would not sound like the just pickup the instruments. "HBCU traditions = play as loud as possible without tuning and don't sound musical at all, just blast your instrument and hope something comes out" "HBCU Style = Bad Playing"
