Rigueur, inventivité et surtout une belle énergie (1er et dernier mouvements), du grand art l On comprend mieux d'où vient Beethoven (qui fut son élêve). Haydn est un immense compositeur, encore trop méconnu.

      Recte: L’ours.
French - Italian as well - is not littered with capital letters, especially following the definite or indefinite article.

@@elaineblackhurst1509 French is the only language that uses this form of writing. The use of the capital L is different from French speaking country to another. I was surprised to see that here in Belgium the form L'Ours is the custom while in France it's l'Ours.

I’m now even more confused: this symphony would be L’orso in Italian (lower case ‘o’) and I believe L’ours in French (again lower case ‘o’); English is entirely different as ‘The bear’ is clearly incorrect and looks so, whilst The Bear is how it should be entitled.
I found your point about the capitalisation of the definite article - The/Le/La/L’/l’ interesting.

@@elaineblackhurst1509 there are more subtle differences between Belgian and French French. 70 is soixante-dix in France, in Belgium we say septante. But for 80 we both say quatre-vingt. 90 is quatre-vingt dix in Paris, in Brussels it is nonante...
