What if using toners is what caused your acne in the first place. It's not an acne video i know, bare with me 🙏🏽 now, I have string reason to believe my acne started at 16/17 (late 16th year) when i started using "skin lightening products" I stopped using the product at 17, but my acne flared up (I'll admit it was a soap, and i didnt really stop using it -- who'd think a lighetning soap of all things could clbe causing my acne) my acne got better after a while then i wanted to clear my scars, went on it again and now im fucked... again And its now, different, in addition to my randomly popping in and out 1-2 day pimples whose sole purpose is to rain on me red hues that make it look like I popped a pimple when it just came and went in like a day -- yh, still baffles me (wtf) (In addition to these) are straight up stagnant mini bumps on my nose bridge and nose surface and cheeks (streaming from cheek to cheek across nose) And im fed up. I've Googled and googled and googled, i haven't found a condition that matches, i hear subclinical acne but idk.
@@ytnoname1189 I experienced this, I think u damaged your skin barrier. Make sure to use non-alcohol toner that is slightly acidic. Believe me, CERAMIDE and PANTHENOL are your bestfriends. Use products that are mild with no essential oils and contain both ingredients. Good luck!
@@watashiwahar9816 also, I'm using this cream - Neutrogena (or something) It makes my skin feel really soft but it contains alcohol in the label, any thoughts? And what exactly you mean by "mild soap", im using an exfoliating papaya extract soap. Hope I'm good?
@@ytnoname1189 it depends on the acne's type. Cystic acne might never pop tho. Mine dissapeared slowly once my skin got healthier. Now i only get whiteheads. The key is to resolve the skin barrier, and it will function normally to fight the acne bacteria by itself 🙃
I KNOW PROPERLY HYDRATING IS IMPORTANT BUT I ABSOLUTELY DISLIKE THE FEELING OF FINALLY GETTING COMFORTABLE IN MY BED THEN SUDDENLY HAVING THE NEED TO PEE
try figuring out a time (in the evening probably) to stop drinking so you don't need to pee late! if you only drink in the earlier part of the day it might help.
Lol same, but for most people there's a little period of time where your body has to get used to getting more water so it'll last maybe a couple of days where you have to pee really often. And if you spread it out during the whole day and drink the most during the morning and the least during the evening, you should be fine. I drink 2,5L - 3,5L every day and since I've done it for a while my body(and bladder) is used to it. Good luck, stay hydrated
sip water in small sips rather than guzzle, guzzling it sends it straight to bladder, small sips absorn into body, ever since i started sipping rather than guzzling a bottle at a time i dont have to pee every 10 mins, trust me try it xx
THIS ^^ I've seen about 4 dermatologists and all of them tell me to take Accutane -.- it's great that it works for most people, but personally I don't want to take it. They don't even tell you about side effects, etc. All they want is $$$
Every time I go to the dermatologist, they just give me a bunch of harsh scrubs and things with tons and tons of benzoyl peroxide that just end up leaving my skin stripped and dry, and with that, I just break out again. Tbh, I don't trust the dermatologist whatsoever. My dermatologist is my asian grandma who just comes and is like, use this natural remedy, and then my skin becomes amazing. XD
Damn guys...that sounds rly bad... When i went to dermatologist 1st time ever (first and the last) she told me to get handmade medicine at pharmacy (with all ingredients i needed), she told me to use super light gel cleanser with right ph that you can buy only pharmacy, wash my face with mix of water and boric acid and she gave me prescription to get vitamin A drops. It rly reduced my problem, but it was coming back once i was dropping this routine after half year (that's how much she wanted me to use the handmade medicine only). I guess i have some type of reaction for certain food, but i didn't figure out what exactly yet (i think it maybe dairy sadly). So technically she helped me a lot with my huge problem i have entire life. Oh I'm from Poland btw.
@@Bhisann no, actually acne is not cause by the moisture. So it's safe to use moisture when u have acne especially during breakout. Based on skintype you need to know what suit u the best, for me I have oily skin so I tend to use moisture or emulsion which is thin and has gel like texture
I believe it is impossible to actually change the size of our pores, but by clearing out the clogged pores and black heads through chemical exfoliation the pores can in fact appear smaller. I'm no expert, but maybe you can check out Liah's video on AHAs and BHAs :)
Melissa hmmm....maybe try using aloe gel; preferably the gel that comes from the actual plant (but if you don't have the plant, maybe try looking for an aloe gel with fewer chemicals/additives) it helps hydrate your skin and shrinks the look of pores over time
There are a few things you could do. But you have to know that pores will ALWAYS be visible. It just depends on the lighting conditions and how close you are to another person. But there are a few things you can do to make them appear just a little smaller. 1. Clear your pores. Do not pick at pores, or use 'pore packs' or any physical force on your face for that matter. Use BHAs to clear your pores out. The most common BHA would be salicylic acid. However, it IS irritating if it's your first time using it. Start small, then increase either the concentration or frequency as your skin learns to tolerate it. 2. Use niacinamide. I don't really know how this one works. Haven't done the research. However, some people have noticed a reduction in how visible a pore is after frequent use of niacinamide. A normal concentration in the market is about 5%. 3. Go to a dermatologist. There are a few things dermatologists can do. Pores are conical in shape, it is narrow at the bottom and get wider the closer it is to the surface of your skin. Laser resurfacing burns the skin off your face so that the pore is 'shortened'. The pore then appears smaller as the 'base' is closer to the surface of your skin. Another thing dermatologists can do is to zap your sebum glands to shrink them so that they produce less oil. Less oil=less clog, and less clog=not-as-stretched pores. Number 3 is very expensive, and the results are only temporary. Heck, all of these are only temporary. But the first 2 are cheaper alternatives.
Melissa you can use the right toner or BHA product, like Cosrx BHA black head power liquid, Benton BHA Toner, OST C20 Serum (this serum helps me a lot! I'm quiet surprised as well) Those help me a lot on minimizing my pores.
Just to back @Darren Tan up: niacinamide is a great ingredient for pores. It increases skin elasticity thus helps with "stretched" pores to lessen their size. CeraVe PM and Stratia Liquid Gold have a good concentration (4%) of it. Some 5% niacinamide serums are Stratia Rewind and Holy Snails' Shark Sauce. (5% is pretty much the most your skin will absorb at once. Any higher concentration is diminishing returns). If you want something super cheap, The Ordinary has a Niacinamide 10% serum. People say the formula pills a lot, but works.
@@hazelnafsika5130 if you searched on google coconut oil is comedogenic, if you want to control oil on your face then instead of coconut oil try Rosehip oil or Hempseed oil
Literally, I have tea tree oil, pine cone moisturizer especially it says to stop acne and then my face proceed to say ay yo I got more oil on your face for ya -_-
Tbh, I had extremely oily skin back then. Every morning, my face was just like a pool of oil. Before I started watching her videos, I used astrigents, scrubs, and avoided moisturizers. This, of course, made my skin oilier and caused me to break out even more. When I discovered her video on how to get rid of acne, I was skeptical about using oil on my face (Rosehip oil) and decided to give it a go. Weeks after, I noticed a HUGE improvement on my face. Not only did I notice that I had less scars on my face, but I didn't wake up with a pool of oil on my face. In other words, my face was fairly dry. Of course, I use other products on my face to help get rid of my acne, but I'm not sure if it's the oil or my moisturizer that's been drying out my skin then to the point where it started to flake 😭 I might have to mix my moisturizer with a diff. kind of oil and see what happens. Lots of love Liah!
Hey Liah. Love from India. Can I just say, that coming across your channel has been nothing but a blessing! While I never struggled with acne (thank god for that), I did have a lot of oily skin, not to mention bumps and hyperpigmentation due to being dark skinned, especially around my forehead and mouth area. To deal with the oiliness, I used to wash my face around three times a day or so and use "mattifying" products. Not that I knew any better. All the skin advice here in India was the same. Hydrate and moisturize for dry skin. Mattify for oily skin. Needless to say, my skin stayed oily as ever, and I actually read somewhere that you couldn't change your skin type, all you could do was mattify it and "manage" it. I used products that gave me that "Squeaky-clean" feeling, and I thought that was what was supposed to happen. Watching your videos have made me realize that I was doing more harm than good to my skin. Coming across your videos changed a lot for me. I stopped using a cleanser in the morning, just in the night, and just washed it with water in the morning. I currently still use my mattifying moisturizer for the moment, but I want to finish the product before I switch to a hydrating one. For the moment, I'll start adding rosehip oil to the moisturizer. My cleanser is also running low, and I'm planning on switching it out to a hydrating one generally meant for normal to dry skin. Thank you for putting your knowledge up on a platform that even me, a mere 18 year old from India, can access and get important information about my skin. Thanks to your videos, I'm pressing reset on my skincare routine, going back to simple cleanse, moisturize and protect with a sunscreen, with adding just a bit of oil or such to supplement. I'm listening to what my skin actually needs, and not what is told to us by the companies. Thank you so much, Liah! Eagerly waiting for your products to ship worldwide!
I started to use hemp seed oil two days ago since I saw it a lot on your videos and my skin has been much MUUUUUUUUCH less oily!! Thank you Liah! You helped me find out my life saver ^^
flowerfawn you should moisturize your skin well in the morning to make it less oily ^^ you can also use blotting films but in my case, when I blot my face too much, it turns out drier and produce more sebum..
sinbi jung I use rosehip oil only at night (I read somewhere you shouldn't use oil in the morning due to the sunlight..? Can't remember it exactly but is it true?). The next morning my face would be significantly less oily as compared to when I don't use it! But i think it returns to normal in the afternoon :/ my face gets oily and I use up the entire single blotting sheet throughout the day
flowerfawn maybe you should try using oil in the morning, I am not sure if it work for everyone but I dont think the sunlight really matters if you put on sunscreen.
Hi Liah 언니! I've noticed that a lot of your videos talk about diet being an important factor so I was wondering if you could do a video on what you eat in a day for clear skin? It would help so much :)
doesn't she talk about that in the How to Get Rid of Acne Naturally video? I could be wrong.. but I think I've seen a video about it before and I think it was that one
Diana Park I've been avoiding these foods in this article www.mdacne.com/article/top-6-foods-that-may-cause-acne-breakouts It's a little more extensive list then Liah's but it has been very helpful. Also understanding why these foods cause breakouts has helped me avoid other foods with similar properties. www.mdacne.com/article/top-6-foods-that-may-cause-acne-breakouts
Enjoyed seeing Dr. Yoo again. Missed her. I highly recommend the Cosrx Low Ph Good Morning Gel Cleanser for anyone looking for a new cleanser after this video. Its gentle and leaves my skin clean without the squeaky clean feeling. It also foams very little, if you can even call what it does foaming. A low ph cleanser combined with washing my face only at night has dramatically decreased my oil production.
Iris Palogan Yes. I do it too. It helps in regulating oil production. We don't really need to wash our face with a cleanser in the morning (unless you feel too oily/grimy). Also because you won't want to wash away all the goodness of the products from last night (unless it's a sleeping pack/mask. you need to wash that off but again no cleanser). Cleansing at night is extremely important obviously cause makeup, dirt and pollution. But we still need to use the right cleanser. Not one that is too harsh.
I have watched a bunch of videos and everyone talks about oily combination skin. Noone ever talks about really oily skin. I have done all these instructions for months and my skin is still very oily. What a shame!
This is probably one of the most helpful and informative videos I have ever watched and trust me, I have watched a lot of videos trying to figure out my skin! 감사합니다!!!
I think it would be crucial if you started clarifying that all these great advices work only on certain levels of moderated oiliness. It' s like scalp. Oily is greasy after 1-2 days, extreamly oily is morning shower and already greasy the same afternoon. We all should now our sebometry result like we know our foot or bra size, hair type number, foundation shade or Fitz-Patrick index. For those who produce a remarkable or severe excess, the frustration and the question "What am I doing wrong? Why am I as oily as always?🥺😰" are guaranteed. The higher levels of oiliness excess can be EXCLUSIVELY modified via bloodstream. So, my super oily people, follow these advices and don' t worry at all if they don' t work. Just keep following them because this is the right way to treat this skin type and get an appointment with a pro trusty dermatologist. 🧛🏻♀️🖤
I suggest you do an oil cleanse first and then after washing away most of the oil using water use your cleanser. That's how I do it . I do some more things so if you wanna know Tell me.
Why is it that when I started to wear moisturizer before my makeup, I noticed my skin becomes more oily throughout the day 😢 should I not apply moisturizer before makeup?
You need not apply moisturizer if u have extremely oily skin because your skin doesn't recognise man made moisturizer therefore your skin produces sebum no matter what.just use a hydrating cleanser rather than applying moisturizer.
Moisturizer is a NECESSITY! But if you find that it is making your skin produce excess sebum, switch to a more lightweight moisturizer. It does not necessarily have to be oil-free, but just something light and hydrating. Go to a couple of stores and see if you can try them out. Dab some on your hand and take note of how long it takes the sink in as well as the feel of the skin after it is absorbed. Make sure you wear sunscreen too! Some sunscreens are anti-shine so they may prolong the time it takes for you to get oily.

@Only 399 start by eating the vegetables you like and include others little by little as you go I used to hate fruit too (especially in colder seasons) so what i did to get used to it was make smoothies with them, drinking the fruit is a lot easier than eating it sometimes Also adding a bit of oats to your smoothies is great to up the fiber content and is also good for your skin
I feel you there ^^ I try to focus on eating more healthy food instead of focusing on not eating unhealthier foods. Healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, greens, beans, whole grains, nuts and seeds luckily contain lots of fiber, water, minerals and vitamins which fills my stomach. So therefore by just adding these onto food I will naturally eat less amounts of the unhealthy foods, hopefully. ;D And eating more just feels a lot better in my mind than depriving myself of anything. A smoothie here and there, a few vegetables with hummus for snack, cutting fruits into my breakfast bowl, putting frozen vegetables in instant ramen, adding sesame seeds on my curry, it doesn‘t have to be hard.
Your videos are so addictive, I love the information you bring, especially for oily skin (which is my type of skin). New subscribed. Greetings from Mexico!
Just 2 days back I saw ur videos, and I was doing everything to get rid of acne, I started to follow ur suggestions and I can clearly feel the difference in my skin right from next day. Thank you so much for all the information, now I feel I wasted too much money for treatments.
Hello Liah~ I found your channel like two weeks ago and I've been watching lots of your videos! I'm so glad I found you. It's been only around two weeks and I can feel the difference already, I've been doing my skin care routine so wrong and improved because of the knowladge you are sharing. Thank you ❤ I bought a DHC Deep cleansing oil Disney princess limited edition because it was cute but I didn't read "oil" world so I had it stored because I was afraid to use it, thinking: this is for dry skin, not for me :( so wrong I was!! For know I am following the suggested summer skin care with the products I already have but I might try the AHA exfoliation too. I'm going to Korea this summer and I am already listing your recommendations and checking out the online stores prices ^^ I know so much on how to take care of my skin know. Thank you~~ I am also sharing what I have learned with my friends because the info you provide is gold
I always tell myself “If you are broke, you need passion and hard work” So I did my research until it bring me to your channel. You help me a lot in my journey :))) no money to pay the dermatologist but here I got someone who is better than that🥰
You really saved the best tip for last! Eliminating dairy really, truly, finally cleared up my skin. And my cat’s chin acne too! Crazy that cats can get acne as well. And that cow milk was the cause! 😮

Wildly helpful. Thank you for the physiological breakdown that is very hard to find, most people just promote products. I’ve been trying to create a proprietary blend for myself and this definitely gave a beautiful guideline
This is great information girl! I have super oily skin and these are wonderful tips I could actually implement into my lifestyle. Thank you so much for sharing!
i think you can get the resolution for clogged pores from these oil control videos; basically u should moisturize/cleanse your skin with recommended oils and also eat healthy to lessen the sebum production/thick sebum because those end up clogging your pores
Stream Spring Day thank you for your reply! I have and I'm using niacinaminde and zinc serum, aloe Vera gel, sunscreen moisturizer and at night I use rosehip oil. I'm not forming any new clogged pores but I don't know how to get rid of these. Also my skin is oily but ibhave dry patches. I drink like 10 cups a day and I've been just moisturizing. However, I have to say my skin is a lot better.
Not trying to be rude but I dont understand why people hate like the natural sebum and greasiness of the face but instead they put like 5 creams and oils on and it looks like 3 times shinier and greasy
1. Gentle non-foaming gel cleaser (SLS free+ pH balanced) 2. Properly hydrate and moisturise 3. Oil is not your enemy 4. Use a sebum-regulating ingrediente: NIACINAMIDE + ZINC 5. Diet: Vitamin A + Vitamin D + Zinc
Waaait. 1. I use COSRX Low pH Gel cleanser and it also does foam up like the first step in the video.... is it okay? 2. You have already prompted me to purchase Etude House Soonjung Cica Balm, Rosehip Seed Oil and TO Niacinamide + Zinc. My skin better be thankful! 3. When you talked bout Dairy, bam I was drinking milk. I feel guilty now. Thank you so much for this informative video! Also Liah, it'd be great if you can share your thoughts on this list of ingredients and whether if it's advisable to use it: --> Witch Hazel Extract, Purified water, Rose Water Concentrate, CI 19140, CI 42090
Liah, can you do a video about eye bags? I don't know if you know something specific about this issue, but I trust your judgment - I'm a converted rosehip oil lover because of you - and my skin is oily AF! Love your videos 💕
STOPP oily skin doesn’t necessarily mean you look disgusting just keep it under control and you’ll look good, also when I’m 60 I’ll look 40 so... :) don’t let it build up that’s when it gets gross
my skin care routine for oily acne prone face: **see a dermatologist if one is available to you, this is just what my dermatologist recommended to me + my own additions after research (Dr. Dray’s UA-cam videos)** Morning: - cetaphil gentle skin cleanser - cerave am moisturizer with spf - neutrogena hydroboost non perfumed on face and body, if this is in your price range - lotion (Shea butter & coconut oil mixture diy or cerave daily moisturizer for normal to dry skin on neck, chest, hands, legs, etc.) - use Vaseline for lips & dry spots Night: - coconut oil and water w reusable cotton rounds to remove heavy makeup - cetaphil gentle skin cleanser - try vitamin C & E oil to under eyes and on sunspots/wrinkles, also try rose hip & jojoba oil - use jade roller and guasha to massage oils into skin and promote blood flow and anti aging - equate beauty ceramide moisturizing facial lotion - castor oil lashes and hairline every 2-3 days - lotion & lip balm (same as morning) *use Jergen’s moisturizer morning and night on face and body for slight tan, if preferred * - drink enough water!!!! (At least half your body weight in ounces) - birth control pill/patch (drastically changed my skin, if this is something you believe in/have access to) - a balanced diet that emphasizes on consuming less dairy and sugary products - exfoliate lips 1-2 times a week with coconut oil & sugar if needed - lip mask when needed (honey & coconut oil) - silk pillowcase to avoid wrinkles and hair loss - cerave facial sunscreen spf 50 (can use regular high strength sunscreen, not recommended for sensitive skin, healthier for skin to use face specific sunscreen) - aloe vera (sunburns, mask if need extra moisture) - other masks seem unnecessary to me, but research what works for you - toner is also unnecessary to me but research what works for you - start using retinol in late 20s, talk to dermatologist if possible/research - biotin supplement daily to improve brows/hair/nails growth - shave upper lip/chin with razor used for legs/armpits or use face razor for all over face for even finish to skin/get rid of slight mustache - Dr. Dray’s UA-cam videos helped me research helpful products/routines from a certified dermatologist
Abby Bloomfield careful with the coconut oil! It’s a really thick oil and can clog your pours especially if you have oily/acneic skin! It’s also really hard (pretty much impossible) to wash completely off your face so the serums or whatever you put on after won’t soak in as much. Got my info from mixed makeup/James Welsh /Hyram - all skincare specialists on UA-cam hope this helps!!
fangirlfray thank you so much! I don’t usually wear that much makeup, so really I just have to worry about taking off my mascara so it hasn’t been a problem in my eye area lately if I use a small enough amount but I do want to try out a better alternative!
Nguyen Thanh Tam : I beg to differ. Natural approach was the only thing that saved me from adult cystic acne. In fact, a DIY apple cider vinegar toner (1 part ACV:2 part water) made the whole process possible. The natural approach takes time and research to be sure of what works and harms.
My sebum does not give a s*** about hydration and moisturizing. Neither does it care that I stopped eating sugar/dairy. I guess only menopause will help me.
Thank you for another educational video Liah! I'm done with the skincare diet and I feel like I have missed my cosrx pimple pads so much! I feel soooo much cleaner now 😁 placebo 😂 The skincare diet has helped me so much tho. Loved the experience of the super minimal skincare and I think I'll keep it that way
No wonder that rose hip oil was making my face feel so good 😊 , i stopped using it for a while . The next month my face is now textured , oily , large pores .

Idk what i do wrong, i drink loads of water throughout the day, i dont wear foundation, i hydrate my skin and i don’t wash in the mornings but my skin is so frikin oily.
*TYSM FOR THIS VIDEO❤️* This is super duper helpful!!! My skin is really oily and I’ve been searching for something that didn’t involve squeezing my skin or using tons of products. I’m super excited to add your recommendations to my night routine! Thanks again ❤️
Hey Liah, your videos are always super informative and helpful and I'm so thankful of that. I watch your videos both for oily and dry skin but I wish you would make more about combination skin type. I personally have an extreme combination skin on top of super sensitive skin (I'm not exaggerating it's actually crazy my nose is dripping oil and my undereye is flaking). As I watch your videos, I try to mix between oily and dry skincare but I would love to see more for combo skin. Anyways, keep up the good work and I look forward to new videos coming up in the future 💕
I'm obsessed with your videos definitely worth subscribing for, i love how you manage to explain these things in a way that your viewer would definitely understand it. 😘 Greetings from Ph. 🇵🇭 😘 😊😍👍👍👍👏👏👏
Can I use cetaphil daily or gentle cleanser? I don't know which one is better... Because I cant find any pther cleanser in my country... Thank you liah!🌸🌹🌺😄
hi liah i noticed you have a great hair as well! can u share hair care for the next video, and how to prevent hair loss? thanks ! 😆 gr8 vdeo as always btw 💕
The problem is whenever I try to moisturize my skin at night whether by face oils or moisturizers I end up having more oil on my whole face in the next morning ! However when I only use micellar water and thermal water the immediately minimize the oils on my face !! I am totally aware of the importance of moisturizers so I don't know what to do 😩 any advices ??
I'm not a dermatologist, but it could maybe be that you put too much on your face? I heard that our faces only need a thin layer of moisturizer on our faces unless youre old or have extremely dried skin because of all the water, what moisturizers contain lots of, that sits on your face
Hello Liah! Can you do a video about cleansers for acne prone skin? Preferably a video about testing different products or products that you recommend ^^
Hi Liah! Thanks for the vid! Here in Spain our moisturizing and cosmetic creams are based on water, paraffinum and dimethicone (or other kind of silicone form). People are not concerned about skincare formulations and as these products tend to clog pores, young people don't use to moisturize/hydrate their skin 😱 What would you recommend at these cases?
Great tips! I will be ordering the Rose hip seed oil and niacinimide & zinc from the ordinary brand. How would you suggest these two be used in a routine? I’ve also ordered the granactive retinoid in squalene in conjunction with the natural moisturizer with HA. I’ve tried differin per my dermatologist and I also use a sulfate cleanser prescribed by a dermatologist. Cerave gentle foaming wash is my regular cleanser as well. I’ve watched so many of your videos and I really want to improve my skin. I’ve made changes to my diet that have helped tremendously over the past few months, but still have hormonal breakouts and dark spots. I’m also getting a sunscreen separately. I’ve been using the differin brand moisturizer with sunscreen. Are those good starter products from the ordinary?
Awesome video!! Thank you so much!!!! I'm starting to follow your (scientifically proven) advice and it is helping me soooo much!! I'm getting a gel cleanser soon and my only problem is physical exfoliation, I used a chemical exfoliater and I broke out quite bad, so I've returned to my physical one. I know chemical is more gentle but I'm afraid to break out again!! Do you have any advice?? Love you and thanks again!!!!

Hi Liah! What specific brands or cleansers do you recommend for oily, acne prone skin? I've been using the African Black Soap from Shea Moisture but it definitely foams and I'm kind of tired of using a bar. Thanks!
Liah can you please make a video for those people how are in a acne medical treatment like raccoutan or accutane, how to deal with that and how to take care of our skin during the process, because the skin get very irritated and dry, so I think this video would help a lot. Thanks!

1. Properly hydrate and moisturise
2. Clean gently
3. oil is not your enemy
4. use toner
What if using toners is what caused your acne in the first place. It's not an acne video i know, bare with me 🙏🏽 now, I have string reason to believe my acne started at 16/17 (late 16th year) when i started using "skin lightening products"
I stopped using the product at 17, but my acne flared up (I'll admit it was a soap, and i didnt really stop using it -- who'd think a lighetning soap of all things could clbe causing my acne) my acne got better after a while then i wanted to clear my scars, went on it again and now im fucked... again
And its now, different, in addition to my randomly popping in and out 1-2 day pimples whose sole purpose is to rain on me red hues that make it look like I popped a pimple when it just came and went in like a day -- yh, still baffles me (wtf)
(In addition to these) are straight up stagnant mini bumps on my nose bridge and nose surface and cheeks (streaming from cheek to cheek across nose) And im fed up.
I've Googled and googled and googled, i haven't found a condition that matches, i hear subclinical acne but idk.
@@ytnoname1189 sammmmme. I tried using toner and i brokeout
Good luck!
@@watashiwahar9816 also, I'm using this cream - Neutrogena (or something)
It makes my skin feel really soft but it contains alcohol in the label, any thoughts?
Katie Le totally can relate to this
Lol same, but for most people there's a little period of time where your body has to get used to getting more water so it'll last maybe a couple of days where you have to pee really often.
I love this channel I learn a lot even in the comment section lol
you're more helpful than my dermatologist tbh
twintywanpaylots x american dermatologists are so bad at their jobs. Shoves pills down my throat every time I go see one
XD
Kathy Vest yes they recommend products that are too drying for skin which is wrong

Can Dr. Yoo teach us how to minimize large pores? Please, I really need her advice ;_;

You helped me find out my life saver ^^
sinbi jung do you only use it at night and is it less oily throughout the next day as well?
flowerfawn I also use it in the morning, with smaller amount.
flowerfawn you should moisturize your skin well in the morning to make it less oily ^^ you can also use blotting films but in my case, when I blot my face too much, it turns out drier and produce more sebum..
sinbi jung I use rosehip oil only at night (I read somewhere you shouldn't use oil in the morning due to the sunlight..?

I’ve watched this a hundred times I feel like my skin I feel like there’s an oil mask on my face every day
Sameee :(
Enjoyed seeing Dr. Yoo again.
Courtney Hendrickson do you only use that cleanser at night?
Iris Palogan Yes. I do it too. It helps in regulating oil production. We don't really need to wash our face with a cleanser in the morning (unless you feel too oily/grimy). Also because you won't want to wash away all the goodness of the products from last night (unless it's a sleeping pack/mask. you need to wash that off but again no cleanser).
Cleansing at night is extremely important obviously cause makeup, dirt and pollution. But we still need to use the right cleanser. Not one that is too harsh.
If you have an oily skin. You better wash your face with tap water.
yup, i do only wash my face with a cleanser at night. but i was just wondering if the cosrx morning cleanser is enough to clean the face at night.
It dries out my skin

Oh no I love my foam cleansers, I feel so 'uncleansed' when there's no lather :(
I suggest you do an oil cleanse first and then after washing away most of the oil using water use your cleanser. That's how I do it . I do some more things so if you wanna know Tell me.

Why is it that when I started to wear moisturizer before my makeup, I noticed my skin becomes more oily throughout the day 😢 should I not apply moisturizer before makeup?
Suki MS I have the same question!
Omg same
M M the ordinary one is good
You need not apply moisturizer if u have extremely oily skin because your skin doesn't recognise man made moisturizer therefore your skin produces sebum no matter what.just use a hydrating cleanser rather than applying moisturizer.
This channel is probably the most realistic and helpful advice about skincare. It really helps.

@Only 399 start by eating the vegetables you like and include others little by little as you go
I used to hate fruit too (especially in colder seasons) so what i did to get used to it was make smoothies with them, drinking the fruit is a lot easier than eating it sometimes
Also adding a bit of oats to your smoothies is great to up the fiber content and is also good for your skin
A smoothie here and there, a few vegetables with hummus for snack, cutting fruits into my breakfast bowl, putting frozen vegetables in instant ramen, adding sesame seeds on my curry, it doesn‘t have to be hard.
start with cutting out soda and juice, then slowly work your way up from there. u dont want to jump into it. remember u got this 💖💖

i think you can get the resolution for clogged pores from these oil control videos; basically u should moisturize/cleanse your skin with recommended oils and also eat healthy to lessen the sebum production/thick sebum because those end up clogging your pores
Stream Spring Day
thank you for your reply!
Sebum causes pimples/acne, thats why people hate it
please make a video about skin congestion! my acne is almost gone but I still have these tiny bumps, open/blocked pores and dark spots.
1. Gentle non-foaming gel cleaser (SLS free+ pH balanced)
2. Properly hydrate and moisturise
3. Oil is not your enemy
4. Use a sebum-regulating ingrediente: NIACINAMIDE + ZINC
Also Liah, it'd be great if you can share your thoughts on this list of ingredients and whether if it's advisable to use it:
--> Witch Hazel Extract, Purified water, Rose Water Concentrate, CI 19140, CI 42090
yeah looks great other than the colorant at the end. But if it seems like it's working for you, keep using it :)
Hi, can you share with me how u use Rosehip Seed Oild and TO Niacinamide + Zinc in your skincare routine? Thank you!
B
Update
Liah, can you do a video about eye bags? I don't know if you know something specific about this issue, but I trust your judgment - I'm a converted rosehip oil lover because of you - and my skin is oily AF! Love your videos 💕
It’s actually proven that oily skin keeps you looking young longer.
Tori Belle now that you mention this, true. My mom had oily skin and she looks super young omg
Haha I read that it’s true
But you look disgusting , u look greasy I hate it
STOPP oily skin doesn’t necessarily mean you look disgusting just keep it under control and you’ll look good, also when I’m 60 I’ll look 40 so... :) don’t let it build up that’s when it gets gross
STOPP
Not if you take care of your skin and regularly blot and powder
Her voice are so gentle i can listen to her all day. Infact i do coz i got acne. Ow wow a lil update to. She CURED ME.
my skin care routine for oily acne prone face:
**see a dermatologist if one is available to you, this is just what my dermatologist recommended to me + my own additions after research (Dr. Dray’s UA-cam videos)**
Morning:
- cetaphil gentle skin cleanser
- cerave am moisturizer with spf
- neutrogena hydroboost non perfumed on face and body, if this is in your price range
- lotion (Shea butter & coconut oil mixture diy or cerave daily moisturizer for normal to dry skin on neck, chest, hands, legs, etc.)
- use Vaseline for lips & dry spots
Night:
- coconut oil and water w reusable cotton rounds to remove heavy makeup
- cetaphil gentle skin cleanser
- try vitamin C & E oil to under eyes and on sunspots/wrinkles, also try rose hip & jojoba oil
- use jade roller and guasha to massage oils into skin and promote blood flow and anti aging
- equate beauty ceramide moisturizing facial lotion
- castor oil lashes and hairline every 2-3 days
- lotion & lip balm (same as morning)
*use Jergen’s moisturizer morning and night on face and body for slight tan, if preferred *
- drink enough water!!!! (At least half your body weight in ounces)
- birth control pill/patch (drastically changed my skin, if this is something you believe in/have access to)
- a balanced diet that emphasizes on consuming less dairy and sugary products
- exfoliate lips 1-2 times a week with coconut oil & sugar if needed
- lip mask when needed (honey & coconut oil)
- silk pillowcase to avoid wrinkles and hair loss
- cerave facial sunscreen spf 50 (can use regular high strength sunscreen, not recommended for sensitive skin, healthier for skin to use face specific sunscreen)
- aloe vera (sunburns, mask if need extra moisture)
- other masks seem unnecessary to me, but research what works for you
- toner is also unnecessary to me but research what works for you
- start using retinol in late 20s, talk to dermatologist if possible/research
- biotin supplement daily to improve brows/hair/nails growth
- shave upper lip/chin with razor used for legs/armpits or use face razor for all over face for even finish to skin/get rid of slight mustache
- Dr.
I don’t usually wear that much makeup, so really I just have to worry about taking off my mascara so it hasn’t been a problem in my eye area lately if I use a small enough amount but I do want to try out a better alternative!
abby rose just wash your face it’s not that deep... that’s what I do
Jkjk 💕 love the routine
You make the best skin care videos. You present your material brilliantly and you are so funny. Thank you, Liah! Keep up the AWESOME content!
Thanks Kristen!! x
Missed Dr. Yoo haha!
+Yinny C Sorry she was busy😅
Wow I've learned so much in one video, thank you Liah.
BTW love the way you say gloopy, it's so cute sounding.
Thought u said "thank u liar" 🤣
Liah, what do you think about Apple cider vinegar? ❤️ from Brasil!
+Rayssa Eckert I like drinking it more than applying it! 🙂 but it does work as a natural astringent!
Rayssa Eckert she said it's too strong for our skin, natural stuff isn't always good for skin
Liah Yoo 리아유 Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
Nguyen Thanh Tam you can add water if you are going to use it. if I'm not wrong
I keep myself hydrated but i still have so much oil
The intro made my skin cry. Oh bless, we were all told ages ago we had to do it this way and it was SO BAD!!
Thank you for another educational video Liah! I'm done with the skincare diet and I feel like I have missed my cosrx pimple pads so much! I feel soooo much cleaner now 😁 placebo 😂
The skincare diet has helped me so much tho.
Get ready and unready videos? I would love to see your personal routine ! :) thank you for the video!
Hi Liah. Can you also advice how to effectively whitens the dark spots caused by acne?
Can you please recommend a skin care products or the product you use. I have combination oily skin and visible pores.
*TYSM FOR THIS VIDEO❤️*
This is super duper helpful!!! My skin is really oily and I’ve been searching for something that didn’t involve squeezing my skin or using tons of products. I’m super excited to add your recommendations to my night routine! Thanks again ❤️
Watched this even though I have dry skin! Can you do a video kinda like this for dry skin loveee u💘
Aw I'm really flattered! Thank you x I need to study more for dry skin!
Sumurna S is
Hey Liah, your videos are always super informative and helpful and I'm so thankful of that. Anyways, keep up the good work and I look forward to new videos coming up in the future 💕
multi masking is a good way to treat combo skin! like doing claymask for the t-zone and hydrating, nourishing mask for where it's dry
Thanks for the advice! Will surely use that tip anytime soon 😊
I'm obsessed with your videos definitely worth subscribing for, i love how you manage to explain these things in a way that your viewer would definitely understand it. 😘 Greetings from Ph. 🇵🇭 😘 😊😍👍👍👍👏👏👏
Thank you Fred!!
Can I use cetaphil daily or gentle cleanser?
I don't know which one is better...
Because I cant find any pther cleanser in my country...
Thank you liah!🌸🌹🌺😄
I love your videos on skincare!
i take notes on your videos for my friends and if that isn't a testament to the quality of the content you're producing i don't know what is
everytime i watch you i remember jiwoo from KARD!!!
Very educational. Your knowledge puts dermatologists to shame. Can you please recommend some products?
hi liah i noticed you have a great hair as well! can u share hair care for the next video, and how to prevent hair loss? thanks ! 😆
gr8 vdeo as always btw 💕
Yessica Darmawan agreed!!
I don't really take care of my hair other than applying L'Oreal elselve hair oil :)
Liah do u wash hair daily?
Your advices are so honest and you really want to share the amazing benefits of a healthy diet.Thank you so much for your hearty videos.
Liah, you are just the most knowledgeable, most beautiful lady! Can't get enough of your videos!!!! You're the best ❤️
Thank you Brianna!! Woot woot
Rosehip oil is my favourite, for my oily skin 😍💕💕
What is the best moisturizer for oily skin? I've tried so many but one of them work! Help!🙏🏼❤️🇨🇦
*none
I use murad 8 hr oil mattifier it helps me!

Liah, what is your opinion on peeling gels? Are they as harsh and irritating as scrubs? Btw your videos helped me so much ❤😊
*Starts officially at **1:31** you might want to skip to that. You're welcome* 😁
Is aloe vera a good moisturizer??? thanks for the answer
Hi Liah! What specific brands or cleansers do you recommend for oily, acne prone skin? I've been using the African Black Soap from Shea Moisture but it definitely foams and I'm kind of tired of using a bar. Thanks!
ur the first person whos made me realize why people use the "smart is sexy" phrase
Liah can you please make a video for those people how are in a acne medical treatment like raccoutan or accutane, how to deal with that and how to take care of our skin during the process, because the skin get very irritated and dry, so I think this video would help a lot. Thanks!
jcml165jm is it accutane?
yes it is.
1.always use moisturizer 2 times aday
2.drink more water
3.always use lipbalm
4.avoid the sun as much as possible .
Dr Yoo!! I've been getting whiteheads all over my chin and cheek area sos how do I treat them ? 💗💗 thank u for making these amazing vids btw
