I wish more Haitian people were focused on the collective. We should all help to bring our country up instead of looking out for our own self interest. As a child of Haitian immigrants I want to contribute to the good of the country. I pray your good deeds will spread.
My sentiment as well. I have 3 different business plans concerning waste management, infrastructure and housing development that will create jobs for people, yet I don't have the funds it's bitter sweet. I hope we can learn same as Singapore to build up our beautiful country. Ayibobo. Stay blessed.
I am just trying to move in back to Haiti. now I am here in the south (aux Cayes) it is so amazing, refreshing. And you inspired me to do that ❤❤❤ keep it up 👍🏾
You’re one courageous and inspiring young woman. You’re a model of what we can do when we respond to the call and follow our hearts💕💕. Thank you and keep the faith
The life you are living is what every expat dream of. They just don’t have the courage to make the move(myself included). Everything that you say I know exactly what you mean. There is no place like home. I am Jamaican living in Canada. I watch your video so I can live through your experience. Thank you for letting us have something to look forward to.
You’re living my dream! I wish Haiti was more accessible to those of us living outside. I stayed there a few months and improved my papi Creole lol even my daughter speaks a little now. I feel like a whole person when I’m in Haiti.
Keep enjoying Haiti for those of us who are not able to make the big move. I understand perfectly the connection you describe that naturally exist between us as a people ❤
Love your content. I am currently living haiti and we have land in plaissance. My husband and I have the same mindset as you and hope to one day be able to make a impact in this country which we love. I am not Haitian but Jamaican and I can see so much similarities between the two countries.
Merci!!
Love your content and you’re living my dream, I can tell you’re enjoying every minute of it “though I’ve yet to hear that Okap accent” 😂. My hope is to build in Haiti one day. 🤞🏽
HAITI YESSSSSSS THANK YOU I HAVE TO 👏👏👏👏👏👏 YOU UP FOR WORKING SO HARD TO MAKE HAITI BETTER FOR THE YOUTH THAT'S COMING UP. I'M SO PROUD OF YOU, AND I'M LOVING HEARING HOW YOU SPEAK OF YOUR MOTHERLAND AND YOUR THOUGHTS ON MAKING IT BETTER. THANK YOU... I'M NOT FROM HAITI BUT MISS. JEMIMA IS AND I KNOW HOW PROUD SHE IS OF HER HOME. GOOD LUCK AND MAY GOD BLESS HAITI 🙏
I recently found out about your channel 😊and started following you, so I realized you love ❤️ kids so maybe you and Sammy should start a family because I can tell you will be a great mom
Omg thank you! I absolutely love kids & dream about being a mom! Literally can’t wait but can wait at the same time lol. Just need to sort a few things out first.
We must be spiritual twins. I basically have the same feelings towards Haiti. Two things really strike me because I always thought the same. I feel connected to the people: M renmen monte kamyonèt poum tande zen ak diskisyon. epi lèm te piti m te konn vwayaje nan bus Kap potoprens Epi m gen menm feeling nan tou pou timoun lekòl yo....Se bèl bagay. Anpil moun but konprann nou. But a lot of us do. Keep up the great work. Kontinye tease mwen toujou. You never know.....😂😂😂😂😂
Love your channel and content!!! I really enjoy your perspective and I respect all that you do to a difference in Haiti! You are living the dream! I’m glad you are in Okap! I have a lot of family from there and my mom was born in Trou du Nord! It’s been 10 years since my last visit to Haiti and I was right there in Okap strolling the Boulevard! I can’t wait to come back soon so I can visit La Citadelle and Molly! I was unable to on my last visit and I regret it to this day! Stay safe and Continued Blessings!
Hi Rutty, Thank you so much for all you do🙏🙏 You are showing the rest of us that moving back home is possible!!! You are such an inspiration 😍l am extremely proud of you!!! Keep shining 🌟
How do you navigate the corruption? I am dealing with haitians on the ground and the level of magouy is so discouraging...i wonder how i will manage if i were to come back. I place a big value on honesty and transparency.
I recorded a video about the challenges I face while living here & corruption is a major challenge! I need to finish editing the video but it should be posted soon.
Hi Rutty, your Vlogs are top notch. I know we only see the final product, but your editing of different scenes as you are explaining everything to us must require some time. Thank you so much for your time, energy, and your willingness to share. Have a wonderful day.
Hi rutty. You look great! Thanks for letting us in your journey. If you don't mind me asking where in Au Cap are you? Is it expensive to find a house to rent? Thanks in advance for your response.
The very few “modern” homes you find here are really expensive. There was a house we toured for over $2000 per month & it wasn’t really that modern compared to what you find in Port-au-Prince. But overall you’ll find more basic homes here that aren’t too expensive (like $5000 per year and even less). It’s really hard to find something decent though.
Visit Haiti as much as possible before moving. Pick the right area for you. The worst thing to do is to move without really knowing what you’re getting into. Haiti isn’t the easiest place to move to. I get a lot of messages from people interested in moving but haven’t been here since they were a kid. In my opinion, that is a big mistake!
The way you’ve been pronouncing ‘vakrans’ I barely hear the r sound. To me it sounded just like the word vakans. I feel like that’s why people haven’t peeped that for so long 😅
Yes, there are many things that affect the quality of life in Haiti. Starting with corruption, which is the reason for the gangs. But this video is about what I like most about living in Haiti. There will be a video about what I don’t like as well.

That is so nice. I am glad you took that step to move back.
Such an inspiration, how do you find work in Haiti when you’re in the medical field and you’re not necessarily an RN or Doctor?
You’re one courageous and inspiring young woman. You’re a model of what we can do when we respond to the call and follow our hearts💕💕. Thank you and keep the faith

Imma be like Rutty B when I grow up
It a paradise I was feeling bad when my country was sending back people from Haiti when they came over on boat's..
You look so beautiful, and radiant. Stay safe and healthy.

$26 for 1 Corosol in Atl Georgia.
Woy😩
Great video! I would love to visit Haiti this year. Btw, what Camera are you using?
❤❤❤
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO MOVE TO HAITI
Visit Haiti as much as possible before moving. Pick the right area for you. The worst thing to do is to move without really knowing what you’re getting into. Haiti isn’t the easiest place to move to. I get a lot of messages from people interested in moving but haven’t been here since they were a kid. In my opinion, that is a big mistake!
Please forgive my american media fed mindset but how are you dealing with the gang violence in Haiti?
I’m not dealing with it. I live in the North department. They are mostly in the West & a few places in Artibonite.
What areas are best for an African American to relocate and get a job ?
Port-au-Prince, but it isn’t safe at the moment.
You kinda look like young Garcelle Beauvais
That's it! I was wondering who she resembles and you're spot on!
The way you’ve been pronouncing ‘vakrans’ I barely hear the r sound. To me it sounded just like the word vakans. I feel like that’s why people haven’t peeped that for so long 😅
If you plan to have kids, will you have them in Haiti and school them there
My kids will definitely grow up in Haiti!
@@ruttyb Okay, so this is a permanent move. I think about it sometimes but I lack the courage, wouldn't know how to survive. I salute your courage
It’s challenging at times. Especially having to set up everything yourself, like basic things that the government should provide.
@@ruttyb Hi rutty, I love watching your videos. You look great! If I may ask, where in Cap Haitien are you? Is it expensive to find a rental home?
gangs?
What about them?
@@ruttyb dont they affect the life quality of Haiti? I heard its very violent especially in gang controlled areas(90 percent of Port Au Prince).
Yes, there are many things that affect the quality of life in Haiti. Starting with corruption, which is the reason for the gangs. But this video is about what I like most about living in Haiti. There will be a video about what I don’t like as well.
@@ruttybThanks for the info! Stay safe.
You’ve actually influenced me to have a minor in international relations since I first saw your video about why you moved to Haiti. 🫶🏾
