In the other video you can see at some point a building being constructed with a timer over it. So yes, it will be that kind of game.

There's nothing wrong with Rise of Kingdoms. You just need to survive the start of the game (the first 90 days), and then just participate in battles every 50 days of the game. I don’t argue that it’s boring, but it makes those long-awaited battles more interesting. However, I do not argue that without money and secondary games (except RoK) it is impossible to play Rise of Kingdoms for a long time

Every Base building game for mobile is a p2w game. Literally every single one. Mobile games are only made for this aspect, nothing else. "Soccer mums" as we call them in game development.
Get used to it. I actually like games where I can pay some bucks for a great game. But they always expect their player to be a 17.000€/day player.
I did some digging and it is full of micro transactions, and is barely an RTS at all, more of an "empires" style citybuilder with RPG elements set in a fictitious universe (AOE has has fictitious elements, but this seems full fantasy style)

@@hermonymusofspartawhile thats true the livestream was for the hardcore fan. Only need to show a little gameplay or a couple minute trailer. Most will either be sold or not while the casual might need convincing which is when you show it off more to that crowd.

Don't get it, this type of game you can find to dozens already in the app stores. Especially this overworld design and troop movement I've seen multiple times on adds already.
Why make a simple copy of that and not a turn based AoE like the DS/3DS games?
The mobile game I've played the most (by far) is Rollercoaster Tycoon. It's just the old game, on mobile.
@@XGDragon lol that would be a great idea, I use the Age of Empires emulator for the DS a lot on mobile, they could add new campaigns, maps, factions and online... and make it paid (10) instead of filling it with abusive micropayments

A classic AoE game would work well in mobile/touch, but it feels risky for big publishers to try something new. That's why they always choose to copy some other popular games.
Edit: An example was Apex Legends, with a great port with almost no changes from the main version and even a team deathmatch game mode on release. But it got shut down by EA in May 2023, probably because of low mtx sales.
Like if they couldn't afford it... They have such a big fanbase.
Yet it will be just one among the other 100 of games like that.

nobody wants to play an rts on touch screen after trying it. they would jump right back to pc. Even the xbox version is unpopular despite all the efforts. On mobile either you play very few units or you play long games like these here

This looks a lot like Rise of Kingdoms, the building system, evolution and troop movement.
But i've seen the gameplay, and the movement actually looks different than Rise of Kingdom and Lords of mobile

The real "AoE Mobile" used to be called Age of Empires: Castle Siege (and it'll always be.. at least on our hearts). Give back what was taken from us.

Castle Siege was nothing like Age Of Empires. It was basically a Clash of Clans game with Age Of Empires theme.

Hm, AOE Mobile looks like a pretty generic game. The cards, like "???", are confusing, and the workers seem to be bigger than the houses 😅. From the trailer, the combat doesn't seem very appealing to me either. Anyway, I hope the game is not pay-to-win and that it's still exciting!

Lose the real opportunity to destroy all the strategy games and you make the game nobody will like to play as AoE.
1:19 just seeing that, and its already telling me, it will have some sort of stamina meter, that limits what you can do daily, and has buildings that will use real time to upgrade, it wont be a speedy match between players, but rather a game that u build up your own kingdom, similar to clash of clans. Pay2win aspects might be there, but who knows...

I prefer if this game were more like a long-term MOBA game, where we only need to upgrade commanders permanently to maintain a fixed level that will never be reset. With a playing time of 1 or 2 months, we will build up levels before engaging in battles, with one player becoming the king, and if they die, all allies will suffer a 50% debuff. Once the battle is over, we search for matches again with more or less the same gameplay.

Not for me but I see no reason hating this either. If this was like with the Command & Conquer series (getting only mobile games by no main line entries) I would be disappointed, but the classic AoE/AoM games are well supported, and I'll keep playing them, so why not let some other people enjoy this one?
