    Just a heads up to anyone watching... it's not an IF you want to use the seat with the tether hook. This seat requires the tether hook to be used regardless of if you're using it forward or rear facing.

      @TheFrenchGlow  Рік тому +4

      Hi! Thanks for watching and clarifying! . You are correct. The tether is not used when in booster. From the evenflo user manual, The tether must be used when installing the Revolve360 in rear-facing or forward-facing harnessed mode. The tether is NOT used when using the Revolve360 in booster mode.

    Thanks for the great review. Have you had any problem with the leg buckles on the 360 extend version digging in to babies legs? Or is this able to adjust easily? Other reviewers have mentioned this and that is the only thing giving me pause about purchasing.

    Thank you for the detailed review. I bought the same model. Do you know why there is a sharp curvy plastic part on the rear end of the base that close to the rear seat. I still don't understand what is that designed for. It is kind of dangerous to baby's feet when the baby is in the rear facing position. Thanks.

    Has anyone made a video actually showing the difference between taking off the covers? If that's the one difference between the car seats you're considering, is it worth a $30 price difference? How often will I need to wash the cover in a 10-year span?

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  8 місяців тому

      Hi! How often you take off your covers depends on your child and personal preferences. I wipe down my seats every week but have not needed to wash the covers more than 2 times total. (spilled food/milk). The quick clean version is easier to remove, both are stain resistant.

    I seen another reviewer say that the base could rub against the door due to its size. I have a 2017 Honda Accord. Do you believe it would fit ok or should I go with the slim model? Also, could you tell me which seat pad you use with it?

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  Рік тому +1

      Hi, the slim will reduce the footprint of the carseat so for a 2017 Honda accord 4 door, I would go with the slim. I am confident the normal revolve 360 will fit as well but if you have other rear passengers, they will appreciate the extra inches.

    Thoughts on using this right from the start? I was thinking to use the 360 extend from birth instead of purchasing an infant car seat but I haven’t seen it used with babies that young.

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  Рік тому +5

      Hi! You can definitely use it from the start except for the newborn stage when it's easier to use a detachable infant car seat. The detachable infant car seat makes taking a newborn out much easier without disturbing them. The evenflo is 2 pieces but not meant to be used as a detachable + handle.

      If you don’t mind taking baby out it works fine. I decided to do this from start and baby wore my son. I’m due with a baby girl now and planning on going back to just these from start. After two kids with the third I found spending too much money for two car seats ea time was not friendly on my pockets

    Hi! Thanks for the review. Considering this seat so keen to hear how it performs. Question for you - it looks like the tether just drops behind the head rest. Is that correct? We have a truck so space behind the seat is non-existent. If this tether strap must go down and up through the seat to re-attach the seat might be a no-go for us.

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  Рік тому +2

      Hi! Thanks for watching. For the tether, you drop it behind the head rest. For a pick up, if your rear seat can be reclined forward off the back wall while the evenflo gold is already on the seat (don't lock in the carseat using the seat belt straps or latch yet), you may be able to access the rear cabin hooks. It takes a little elbow grease but should be possible. Another option is to try the Graco 3 in 1 turn2me. When it's on sale, it's about the same price at $329 ish. Check out my review and see if it's a better fit for your car. ua-cam.com/video/9UTLE8Fii8o/v-deo.html

      I know you commented 2 months ago, but I just wanted to let you know that often in pickup trucks the top tether anchor point is a fabric loop on the top of the seat by the headrest. You would pull the top tether through that loop and hook it to the loop above the neighboring seat. Some trucks have you route the tether through the fabric loop and then to an anchor attachment on the floor. Your vehicle manual will show you how to route your top tether (if you don’t have your vehicle manual, you can google it). All forward facing car seats require the top tether and some rearfacing seats like this one require it.

    Hi, thanks for the great review. I have a ford focus…currently use a Chico key fit 30 for infant stage and it’s pretty deep but I’m not sure if these kinds of seats are even deeper and would leave even less room for passenger in front. I’m looking for the depth information for the slim car seat. What is the horizontal distance (when rear facing and fully reclined or basically worse case scenario) from the backrest of the car seat this sits on to the seat top in full recline (basically what is the worst case depth scenario of this seat)? Also, is it better to get the slim and later get another booster or get the extend 3-in-1 version? I’m not super worried but the price difference, but rather the best overall experience for the child.

    There is a version with sensor safe buckle, which basically costs $30 more than the extend. Is it worth buying? Should I be concerned about toddler unlocking the buckle?

    • @TheFrenchGlow

      Hi! Sensorsafe is extra protection so it's up to you. I do not use it because I never leave my toddler in the car alone ever. But make sure to get the GOLD edition if you want the lifetime warranty that you could possible even make a warranty claim caused by an accident. NON GOLD has a 90 day warranty.

      Hi! I can take a measurement for you but do you mean from the distance from the bottom of the car bench seat to the top of the baby car seat (so the top of the carseat cushion) that is facing towards the rear window in rear facing mode. Sorry to be so specific. Also the angle of your vehicles rear seat can vary from car to car or if you incline/recline the seat.

    How the sensor works?

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  Рік тому

      Hi! The sensors are an additional feature and is the sensorsafe technology that are part of the harness. It is similar to other carseats like the cybex sirona s. Per evenflo, While your eyes are focused on the road, integrated SensorSafe technology alerts you in real-time to four potentially unsafe conditions from your child’s car seat via your phone: unexpected chest clip unbuckling, temperature too hot or too cold, child unattended in the car, and child seated too long

    My daughter has outgrown the original at 37” rear facing (age 3) because she is 1” from the top. I’m afraid if I buy the extend is the slim that she will still be to tall in her body and not pass the 1” rule. Can you show a larger kid rear facing in it

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  Рік тому +1

      Hi! The extend does fit up to 48" and it's totally up to the parent if they want to keep them rear facing until then. In my use, I can't imagine using it until 48" though especially for long car trips because the child's legs will be elevated so high.

    is there still room for an average size passenger to sit in the front seat with either of these installed? can't tell from the video. we have a mid size santa fe 5 seater suv, but im not sure how far up i have to move the front seat. i already did a bit for just the mesa infant seat, so slightly concerned this occupies a lot of space. and is it easy to access if placed in a middle seat instead?

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  Рік тому +2

      Hi! This seat would not be ideal for a middle seat because of its turning radius. Regarding fitting into a midsize Santa Fe 5 seater (I almost got one and very familiar with the suv), I used the Revolve 360 in a Mazda CX-9 and a CX-5 (smaller than a santa fe 5). You will have room in the front seat in a santa fe with either the extend or regular revolve 360. My wife is 5'9" and she has no issues and probably up to 6'1 or 6'2" is the limit before it gets more cramped due to limited recline. You will have more legroom than recline when you use this type of carseat. BUT for reference, if you have a Jeep Wrangler, this seat will be a very tight fit with limited leg room to the point, it is hard to recommend it in that vehicle.
      2023 Santa Fe interior dimensions: Head Room (first/second row): 41.2/39.0 inches. Leg Room (first/second row): 44.1/41.7 inches
      I used it in the Mazda CX 9 with Legroom (1st/2nd/3rd row): 41.0/39.4/29.7 inches.
