Fern, my white Boxer dog, is an accredited service dog under the 1992 DD act. She holds special access rights to be allowed to enter places most dogs cannot. This includes National Parks such as Chiltern Mt Piolet NP where Reedy Creek is located. Unless your dog is an accredited service animal they are not allowed to enter NP.
Check your local regulations, as each state and territory is different, before you travel into or though NP with your dog. Here is the Parks Victoria website for those of you wishing to read up on Victoria's laws 👉 www.parks.vic....
Thanks for the breathing tip...almost drowned there for a minute.
Yea I was holding my breath for a moment.😃
ME TOO !!! thats sooo weird....
Levi from Tassie Prospectors gets some nice gold sniping
Hey Chris
Try using a black framed mask instead of clear.
This will cut down on reflections.
Good luck.
Man that looks like fun! Nice and crunchy
That looks like hard work Chris, so will give that a miss until I can con my kids into doing it for me.
Hard work is fun for me.
Let's get some GOLD!
You were first, trophy: 🏆
G’day Chris how you going my friend those big yabbys are very tasty you know you cook them just the same as prawns💛😎👍
I think you might need an assortment of tips for that sucker bottle. Try putting one in a vise and slowly squeezing it into an oval and it will get deeper in the crack without losing much suction power. Still moves the same volume but narrower in one dimension.
Good idea mate.
Chris, if you pick up a butter knife at the thrift store and grind a hook into the tip, it might just do the trick for those tight crevices. You could also drill a hole in the handle for a bright-coloured lanyard.
hmmm i like that idea
Nice going man! Get that gold and keep working hard!!
Thanks! Will do!
Yeah get in that water bro! that is where the big gold is hidden!! Good luck love your vids keep it up!!
Never ever worry about the Gold count. Your videos are the real treasure for most of us. We watch you because you are enthusiastic and make stellar content over and over along with being educational and funny. I Love Grizzly and miss him very much. You and Grizzly are often in my thoughts as I go out scratching around with my 4legged prospecting partner. We are blessed to have them for the time we are allowed to on this earth. Keep on keeping on the Gold, Chris. We are always excited to see new content coming from you.
John & Odds
The one chaps right, those yabbie are delicious m8. .39 cents saved?!? I would reinvest that in more time on the creek, why .39 cents could buy you a week out there, the trees are very reasonable. ;)
If life was all about money
You would be boring
And you're not Chris By a longshot
You gotta get yourself some gloves mate. That and a set of o ring tools for those hair line cracks. 👍
Love sniping mate u did a great job of it too goodonya bro cheers
And to think i had to pan all day in 33F (1C) degree weather! Glad you're taking another crack at sniping, hope you snipe the king gold hole creek again... you found some nice stuff that day!
Thanks for the shoutout Chris
Hi Chris hope you’re finding heaps of gold. You should purchase or make a dredge
Dredging is illegal in Australia
This Old Modly hat says hello from Canada, that is funny I was holding my breath when you were in the water lol Another great video.. Cheers
From archer to sniper 🤣 Another great video, thanks Chris!
Sniping is the best !!!!!
Love your channel dude... such an entertaining adventure to watch! Great video loved this. An love you brother ❤
by far the best yabby vid ever
Man its snowing here in Ohio. Wish i was there for a few hours lol.
40c is no joke though
@@VoGusProspecting You can keep the 40c. I will take all the Ohio snow.... Pretty sure this Ohio boy would melt at anything near 40c!
Howdy to fellow frozen ohioans. Up here in ashtabula county, we got over 20 inches of snow during the storm this last week. Last year (or was it the year before?) we had that wonderful day where the temperature went from 20c to -40c with wind chill, because... Ohio.
Life is the journey. Enjoy the ride. Thanks for taking us along.
2.39 Australian for a days result might not be much but what value getting out and having fun and enjoying the environment and the me time that I’m guessing is priceless. 👍
I was there for about 3 hours.
But the gold is ultimately a bonus for getting out of the housem
getting payed 75 cents an hour is good cheep entertainment
I recommend you get a crevicing hook forged out of VG10 steel, because it's super-tough, around 60HRC. I know because I'm not just a hobbyist gold prospector, but a blacksmith in my spare time. My 'hook has lasted *ages* in our river on a large acreage I own. VG10 steel is used to forge Damascus knives, and I love VG10 for its quality. If you ever get lucky buying a crevicing hook forged out of VG10, drill a hole in its handle to attach some paracord to. Then you won't lose it. I don't sell our hooks and picks, but the hooks I'd recommend wrapped in sealed off paracord. A long slim pair of pointy-nosed, right-angle tweezers would be extra useful! GR8 vid! ❤All the very best - Wendi UK 🌻
Hey Chris! I’m assuming(and really hoping lol) that i’m not the first person to tell ya this, but those “Yabbi’s”, as your Down-Under-Thunder-Accent has you calling them, are called CRAWDADS in most of America, along with a few other, more regional nicknames, and im kind of curious if Crawdad is a name used for them down in Australia?.....all that, mostly just to say, that YET AGAINNNN I find myself extremely jealous of the slang/colloquialisms in Australia. From the Whipper Snippers, to Rooting(just an AMAZING word for that😂), you guys seem to have us beaten by miles with our pitiful Weed Whackers and...Smashing?(lol idk which of ours to pick, Root really is just unbeatable🤷🏼♂️)
Also, and alot more importantly lol, i hope you been havin some better days recently, far as that old, moldy, mental health goes 👍🏼 and even if you havent, just know that those better days ARE coming, eventually, brotha👊🏼
Great video Chris 👍🏻I use felt bottom shoes & yes they work awesome. In AK it’s illegal to use in some rivers due to contamination from one to another due to the felt. Just a heads up Incase same where you are don’t want you to get in trouble 👍🏻👍🏻. Be safe & pan on woohoo
Gotta love 2 toes!!!! That is where I'm from but still love watching your adventures! And seeing that loot!👍
Still a great day on the krik!!!! Couple dozen yabbies and a pint and you've at least got lunch✅😉👍🍺🏴☠️🏴☠️
I really wish I was back out there.. bloody Europe is always so damned cold.. I miss 40*c 😒 my cuz registered 44* on his thermometer the other day.. Just above and a bit more inland from woolgooga.. makes me fkin sick.. I’m sat ere shivering under a woolly cover and he’s there sweating in woolly 🤣 lmao
Hope you’ve had a fantastic day.. give the Mrs a scratch behind the ear for me 😜😂👍🏻 lol
That’s more realistic to where I’m from in Scotland, lots of fine gold, although there has been big nuggets found quite recently! I can’t wait until the summer and try sniping all those crevices I’ve cleaned out recently 😁👍🏻🏴
You crack me up Chris, Love the massive Chocolate , I literally couldn't stop laughing. Very nice for a first watch of the morning. Keep it up
not going to lie, just got on this one off prospecting video kick, like a week ago.. but i was watching your last dive video from 2 months ago the other day. and when you reminded me to breathe, i paused the video and had to think about why i was doing that...LMAO... and why you, pro actively, were able to call me on it.. THANK YOU... just subbed!
Hey Chris, I just learned that another Australian Prospector team lost their dog Phantom to a 1080 bait. So sad. I left them a comment about your fight to ban 1080 baits. They have a UA-cam channel as well with a few thousand subscribers. If their is way to get more you tubers, and subscribers to push the issue your government may feel pressure to do something about it. The old squeaky wheel gets the oil. Their site is Outback Gold Fever ( Mark & Krissy) it might be worth reaching out to them. Your viewership is worldwide, it could have influence on the ones making the decisions.
I was thinking as you were sniping in that picturesque little creek... Chris, don't you have tiger leeches in that area? Those little bastards HURT like hell! Anyway, thanks for the video! We have the same kind of flour gold here in this part of Ohio, panning can be fun, but I will have to try sniping a creek sometime.
Remember keep breathing, I'm under water and you're not...funny line Chris!
them "Felt" bottom boots have been "outlawed" here in Alaska due to spreading something or another(some invasive weed). Too bad they really work well on slimy nasty rocks. FYI the bottoms of "XTRATUF" boots area amazing and are a staple along the coast and river regulars. Great videos man :)
I'm so sorry your gold shrunk.
But at least it was more than some pieces of fly poop.😅
Not tea bag as Pauly would say.
Wouldn't it be better for your hands when you'd were gloves? Tapping on the gravel must be painful when you do it bare handed.
Saying hi from the Netherlands. 🤗
you may have summer on the way. but its winter in wales its freezing windy and raining. man so looking forward to a hot summer next year but we still need to get over winter. i would love for it to snow. but we hardly get it. live to close to the coast. enjoy your warmth before it gets to hot. :) great video as the norm from you. :)
Crawdads in the US, Yabbies in Aus and Koura in NZ. Yummy@
Love to see you run that paintbrush through alllllll the flour gold and bits you’ve collected over time. That would be amazing to see ! Good job man ! Keep the videos coming.
stick to highbanking my friend LOL jk :) you just didnt have much to brush around there ;D
Hey mate I know an awesome spot in nsw to snipe for gold if your ever near bega hit me up and I'll take u . Just the other day I got 4 grams there mostly chunky peices around .03 to .05 of a gram :)
Hey Chris, with all the fine gold, you should flatten the tip of your snuffer bottle so it can reach in those tighter cracks. Plus thanks for telling us to breath. Lol I always notice i hold my breath sometimes watching sniping videos.
Hey Chris, try buying 5 finger shows. They are amazing for water. Or of course surfing booties. I use both for sniping
If you plan on being under water have a look at Froggers slip ons. I've used them for real wet days when cycling.
Your an inspiration brother
I really enjoy your videos
Been watch for years
Keep it up mate
Great video enjoyed I guess its that time of year for a snipe ,Keep cool enjoy cheers Glenno
Every animal in the down under must have big whabbles. We call them crawl dads here in Ohio. If you get close they are outta there. You have to really sneak up on them to reach down and grab em.
11:25 - What the gold sees when you're impatiently waiting for it to dry in the pan. 🤣
Hey Chris, I've been wandering if you will be growing out your beard again?
For the metal sucker u where using it might not be pretty but u could use pliers or tap the tip with a hammer to make it a little smaller just not to much or it will split...or a soft peice of silicone hose u can easily remove when not needed as that would squeeze into smaller gaps just a few cost saving ideas I guess so u don't have to buy more new tools
Every bit adds up man! Keep up the epic vids bro!
Nothing worse than having a tool to big for a crack.😄😄 i know your pain.
I love those faces, as you say " IT SHRUNK "....lol
Oh yeah something that helps me is sniping in areas where the bed rock is dark slate so you can see the gold better and it's easier to brake open the cracks! Good luck out there!
We need to come up with a micro yabby pump, that will fit into those tiny spaces...
when someone says to breath it makes me have to manually breath causing a small panic lol
Bloody hit here at the moment mate perfect for snipping
Awesome find! Something is better than nothing my friend!
So go to auto parts store get plastic tube that is smaller put ducktape around tube on one end so you put in and out sucker tool that way you can get into small cracks.
Sodden but not downtrodden😜 thanks for sharing the fun Chris.
Yabbies...'let's go lads, we have him now!
Something I want to do.... Well done 👍🤓✌️
"I'm underwater, and you're not." Freakin' killer comment man!
Just a friendly reminder
Figure a way to put that copper pipe on the end of yer yabby pump!
Those lil crawdids pretty cute
Couldn't understand your reference to where you bought your tools. In print, Please! Or in the "SHOW MORE". You don't understand the extent of the hearing loss of us "old farts".
Blades by Baz is the crevice tool. He's on Facebook. The sucker is custom made.
I saw your hands bro. Wear clothes
I'd like to see the amount of yellow you've collected over time, do you have a jar ?
I want you to get a 20-ounce nugget.
Me too
Correction YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL MICRO GOLD MINER :-)
Haha
You might not find the biggest gold Chris but I certainly enjoy you and your channel. Take care Mate!
My golds not big but I find a fair bit of it.... except this time.
Keep 'em comin' Chris!
Great vid. Heres a crazy fun thought for your head to mull over and over until you come up with a way of working out the answer too it. What percentage of that gold do you think would had been missed if you just hit the area with a yabbie pump.
Most of it. As I was doing it I had that exact though. Most of the gold was buried so deep I'd say 99% of prospectors missed these bits before.
Your crevice tool looks like a hoof pick.
Sniping not for me too many phobias
My regular creek is full of leaches 🤔
slt les petites failles ça donne toujours bien
Nice. It all adds up at the end
Hay I liked the music
Still need bether spots dude
Beutiful video👍👍
hi all the yellow stones look like gold to me ahhh
I was today years old when I learned a yabby is a crawdad. Now I know why it's called a yabby pump.
Haha yay!
Yabbies are good eatin Mate!
you need to hook up with flower gold wizard jason .you and him are in the same boat in different parts of the world and I follow both of you the problems are similar .
thank you for sharing.
Best wishes Brother! JJ
Yeeew a snipping vid mate cool 😎
Yes get your original snuffed bottle
And put a longer plastic hose on it
It can then bend in the crevice
Also two screw drivers one large one small
These are better than that tool
Also that snorkel tip breach it off
As it restricts the air to you
It’s a dumb idea will drown you
And plenty of sunlight is easier to see the go,d
Cool little mates down under too
Have you received the hat yet ???
Cheers 🍻 Chris
CrouchOz
Good tips mate, thank you.
Haven't opened the mail in a month so maybe!
@@VoGusProspecting ok cool you can see what i mean
i cant wait to hit my river up north
have a very merry xmas and new year to you and Zoe
cheers
crouch
😂😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Well made a high banker, got some dream mats and wow they work awesome !
Thank you.
Andy
You could pinch the end of that sucker tube flat to get in those cracks better there Chris.......... I guess that didn't cross your mind
Then I wouldn't be able to suck up bigger bits.
@@VoGusProspecting Ahh I see.....(maybe carry 2 sucker bottles? 1 with a flat tip, and one that gape's like ex my after being out at the bars all night showing up at 5am walking funny) lol
Keep digging!
Go to the store and buy tools made to put springs on carburetors.
I've got them!!!
Bad pun: Felt rocks... Sorry. lol
Told you I used the boots 🙂
its shrunk
