Fern, my white Boxer dog, is an accredited service dog under the 1992 DD act. She holds special access rights to be allowed to enter places most dogs cannot. This includes National Parks such as Chiltern Mt Piolet NP where Reedy Creek is located. Unless your dog is an accredited service animal they are not allowed to enter NP.

Dogs can be trained to sniff for indicators, who knows, maybe Fern will crack it, she certainly seems to dig the digging.

I got a pair shipped to the States. My prospecting mate was born under the Soviet Regime. I bought the Bateas, he covered shipping. We got them Thursday 3/11/2021. I fired them over a small fire. His 1st pan had gold as did mine, they have been properly christened.

Hey there Chris, great results, What you need to do is pan up to about a half a cup full and throw that into a bucket. Do this for the rest of the day. Don't show us, then put all of your concentrates into the pan and finish off. Give it a go. I did that for a week once and it was hard but it blew me away when I saw the end results.

I'm so envious... poking around the local creeks in coastal CA has yielded not a speck. With warmer weather coming it's almost ROAD TRIP to the Sierras time!

If you're a beginner and wanting to get into gold panning and prospecting and whatnot how would you find where the prospect? Is any good old Riverbanks where you want to be? or what should you be looking for where should you be going
Nice gold. Tell me about your prospecting equipment and why you chose or use them most. Never seen that style of classifier before. Mine has the wire screen so I don't break it as much.

I got a pair of Bateas shipped to the States. 1 for me, 1 for my prospecting mate. I bought them, he paid the shipping. Both had gold in the first pan after I fired them. Ships are christened with champagne, Bateas are christened by gold.

Everything about the batea pan is awesome except the sound it makes with rocks swirling around. Though dropping a picker onto it would be sooo satisfying
Hello Chris, you have used at least 3 different Batea pans. They all work impressively. But can you share the advantages, disadvantages of each.

A little sanity in a insane world. Good breakfast. Reminds me a lot of Arizona gold. We have flash flooding here in the desert and our gold comes in layers. A good layer followed by long dry spell. So we have a layer which during flood gets washed down and them another. Unless it's shallow bedrock you can dig way down under (no pun intended) and never find but a few specks. However along the first 3-4 inches lots of speck count. Good video, scratch your pups hiny Right above her tail, they can't scratch there so they love it. Good day.

I would highly recommend getting a Keene A52 sluice box could a lot of pay dirt and don’t have to worry about classifying the material

Is there any quartz in the tailings you discard in the areas you dig ?
This video appeared to be just sandstone and other normal rocks..
Because, I was always told to look for quartz to find the gold.
Quartz is the second most common mineral on earth. Its silica.
Quartz is not an indicator of gold. It must have other things with it, such as iron, to become an indicator.
So yes, there is a lot of quartz in our pans but 99.9% of it is not woth looking at.
You gotta get the old gold to make room for the new gold 😁
