I'd suggest that you drink your Apple cider vinegar and lemon first. My wife claims that this solves her problem with coffee on an empty stomach. We use whipping cream and butter. Ghee makes it too oily for my liking, unless you want to blend it in to emulsify it (I'm too lazy to go to that trouble). You could also try coconut oil, might flavor it a bit, though. Hello Thomas, my question is: when I eat zero carb omad and drink coffee in the morning, am I spiking stress hormone cortisol for 18 hrs making it impossible to to get into ketosis or loose body fat? Thank you
I have a question. I've recently started intermittent fasting, and since I usually get up around 5-8 a.m. and break my fast 12-2 p.m., sometimes due to work, I cannot match the time of workout right with the end of my fast so I have two choices.. to extend the fast till the end of the workout, or break the fast at the work. I decide for the first option as I want to maximize the insulin sensitivity, so I go to the gym after work and break the fast with oatmeal consisting of 100 g oats, 15 g flax seeds, 5 g coconut oil, half squezzed lemon juice, 10 g dates, one medium banana, one teaspoon apple cider vinegar and half teaspoon Himalayan salt. After I come home from the gym I don't have much time to end my feeding window as I have to go to sleep in order to prepare myself for getting up early for the job, so I have to consume larger meals in order to provide myself enough calories as I want to GAIN MUSCLE during eating window while aiding FAT LOSS during fasted state. So my question, how.. based on this lifestyle am I supposed to properly feed during feeding window, and what minerals I need to consume without breaking the fast during fasted state?
It's probably best to keep your fasting windows consistent and workout when you can regardless. At the very least, it'll keep your body from adapting too quickly
G`day big fella how about a video on offal I eat a fair bit of the stuff , eg lambs fry, pigs live, beef liver, and kidneys , I have found this stuff really helps you to build quality muscle what do you reckon I would love to hear your thoughts .
What about the iced coffee and cold brews sold at the store compared to going to Starbucks? The store bought Starbucks cold brew has a few calories and the iced coffee may have a carb or two. Are these a Safe for fasting?
Hey Thomas can you do a review from Starbucks vanilla sweet cream nitro .. they claim it’s only 4 g of sugar but to me it tastes pretty sweet ? Have you ever had it ?
Hi Thomas, would be ok to heat a cold brew coffee? I haven't tried a cold brew but I think it might be very different from what I have been used to with hot brew coffee.
Adding salt to the grounds is helpful. I'd recommend googling how much to use (if interested), as I only remember how many twists on my grinder. I have also found that keto ("bulletproof") coffee is much easier on my stomach. I use heavy cream, coconut oil, ghee, and mct oil, but a lot of people use Kerrygold butter in their combo. Cold brewed coffee is also much lower in acidity, but it limits your add-ins to things that will stay liquid in cold.
Thanks for answering. I ask because I’ve dropped 65 lbs, I’m 6’1”, and still 275. I was on keto without realizing it, and I lost the weight in about 5 months. Then I found your channel. It made me realize why the weight came off so fast as I was eating what I thought was right, veggies and meat, no bread or carbs and especially no processed foods. My body has changed and with another 65 lbs to go I’m hoping to build muscle but don’t think I can get to the point you are at as I am much older. I was just curious about your height as a comparison to myself. Great channel and info by the way.

Hello Thomas, my question is: when I eat zero carb omad and drink coffee in the morning, am I spiking stress hormone cortisol for 18 hrs making it impossible to to get into ketosis or loose body fat? Thank you
No, but you shouldn't be zero carb and I'm not the biggest fan of OMAD
@@ThomasDeLauerOfficial Okay, thanks for your answer. I'll try to sort these out in the most convinient way.
But I love my hot coffee! Is there any way to drink it without getting all the toxins and bad stuff. What about organic?
what about green coffee extract?
Can you do a mesuring chart >< and I'm on food stamps and I'm so not sure I can do keto
G`day big fella how about a video on offal I eat a fair bit of the stuff , eg lambs fry, pigs live, beef liver, and kidneys , I have found this stuff really helps you to build quality muscle what do you reckon I would love to hear your thoughts .
That might be worth a video
Offals or variety meats are rich sources of CoQ10.
What about the iced coffee and cold brews sold at the store compared to going to Starbucks? The store bought Starbucks cold brew has a few calories and the iced coffee may have a carb or two. Are these a Safe for fasting?
Does cold also have 0 to few calories as hot brew??
Hey Thomas,
Could you please give some advice on how to track precise fat intake for keto success?
Thanks,
Isa
Get an app like MyFitnessPal or Stupid Simple Keto
@@ThomasDeLauerOfficial will do, thanks!
Thomas .... Did you really just call it a tummy. (Your such a dad 🤣)
4:10 ;)
As a dad if three, I can relate but I did get a little laugh from it.
I did
I really wanna try nitro coffee, never find it around here
I like nitro-brew but it messes with my continence. Basically I’m constipated for a day after drinking it.
Caffeine and nicotine 🎉😊
Coffee burns my stomach
Is there something I can add to smooth my stomach while drinking coffee
It might be worth trying a lightly roasted coffee instead of a rich roast which is more bitter and acidic. 👍 🇬🇧
@@grahamefreestone5309 thank you
@@Athena-xp4lt thank you
Try the cold brew. It's way less acidic
Does it ruin your fast?
Good info. I am however skeptical that cold brew results in less toxins getting consumed. Sounds like that could be but never seen any science to it.
why do I fall asleep after drinking a large ice coffee. No sugar just a splash milk
I’m a 5’8 manlet. Will nitro coffee benefit me?
Yep
Thomas, please do a video about CBD oil. 🙏😊💯
I did and UA-cam made me take it down
*All frothed coffee is "nitro-coffee"* because air is 70% N2 (nitrogen)
Technically correct...the best kind of correct
What if a women is pregnant ? What would you recommend
Concentrated cold brew 👍
Delicious!
Coffe ! Coffe ! Thomas coffe
More coffee!
💖☕YES nitro
So good!
Ok how many posts about coffee can we take? LOL
You'll take them all!
Thomas DeLauer you’re right!
Good content and informative. But please consider juat using emphasis to emphasize. That was LIERALLY too many uses of the word Literally.
Nitro all the way! Doesn't anyone follow the Mad Max heritage?
LOL
Nitrogen is not actually inert
I use argon for my coffee it's a noble gas
Guinness is nitro
Why do I constantly needing to poop and pee whenever I have coffee?????????
That's definitely a major scientific mystery. Same thing happens when I drink water or eat a lot! Crazy stuff!
It's a diuretic
So you lost a hundred pounds on Keto. Just curious how tall you are?
Internet says 5'10" (177.5cm)
I’m 5’10”
Thanks for answering. I ask because I’ve dropped 65 lbs, I’m 6’1”, and still 275. I was on keto without realizing it, and I lost the weight in about 5 months. Then I found your channel. It made me realize why the weight came off so fast as I was eating what I thought was right, veggies and meat, no bread or carbs and especially no processed foods. My body has changed and with another 65 lbs to go I’m hoping to build muscle but don’t think I can get to the point you are at as I am much older. I was just curious about your height as a comparison to myself. Great channel and info by the way.
You just gained hipster points.
I take it back
Thomas DeLauer lol whatever hipster
So that's why the old Coffee-Cona soda beverage was DisGusting!
So gross
@@ThomasDeLauerOfficial I remember my best friends mom, buying a whole case of "Pepsi-Cona", (aka Coffee Soda) way back in the '90's I think. My thought was "Yuck"! His thought was "Yuck"! So we split a can, with LOTS of Ice,,, PRAYED,,, and started a 1st sip. And though VERY Apologetic to his mom,,, that 1st sip DIDN'T make it Down! We SPIT that out SOO Fast!!! It tasted like an old moldy lemon peel. And WHY would anyone try that. I guess the only good thing from it was that I Didn't start drinking coffee for another almost 20yrs. I was 37 when I started my 1st cup of REAL Coffee! And NOW!
With Your Sciences I add the Ginger, real peppermint, and twice a week I add the Apple Cider Vinegar. Believe it or not,,,, it's pretty good!!
Hi Thomas, I love your videos. Would you consider going on Joe Rogan's program? #JRE #JoeRoganExperience I really think it would be a good platform to get your message out to some new audiences and I think you would appreciate Joe's style.
#bucketlist
I think hearing you say tummy is hilarious Thomas. Good work per usual and more coffee videos is something we all need
I might do a few more!
