I can't speak for others, but I watch reactions because it's the closest I can get to experiencing something for the first time again. So, for me, in order to be entertaining, all you need to be is genuine and expressive in your reaction. You have a natural enthusiasm and a quick understanding of what's going on that is automatically fun to watch. This show is impossible *not* to have a strong response to, so don't worry about trying to entertain. It will just happen!

Joffrey being an incest baby and Robert's bastards are not separate topics, one makes the other relevant. If he's not legitimate, then having bastards out there would challenge his claim. If he was legitimate it wouldn't matter.
The old gods are an unnamed pantheon worshiped in the North.
The 7 (or new gods) are worshipped by most in westeros. The new Gods are actually a single gods but said to have 7 faces, the Mother, father, smith, crone, warrior, maiden and stranger.
The Lord of Light is a foreign god, and though it has recently spread to westeros (as seen in the Stanis scene) is not one of the "new gods"

Yup. Just to add some context to what was said here that may help with understanding the religions in GOT... The author, George RR Martin is an avid history nerd. He used real life events as the inspiration for the majority of characters, geography, etc. Look at a map of Westeros and flip it upside down, it's Ireland with some modifications. The wall is based off of Hadrian's wall (built by the Romans) dividing Scotland and England. The Lannisters are based off of the real life Lancasters and the Stark are based off the Yorks in the English Wars of the Roses (Don't look anything up for fear of spoilers). The old gods (the trees) is pre-Christian paganism, The 7 (new gods) is Christianity (how the father, son and holy spirit are all 3 facets of the same god), and the Lord of Light is a foreign religion that has been spreading through missionaries similar to how Christianity spread so vastly. Hope that helps a bit.
Its interesting because in a lot of "medieval" type shows everybody is fueled by religion, or at least they use it as a blanket for whatever they actually want. whereas in Got the religion is more like today. Some believe some don't at all or don't care. But the main focus is what's happening in their own lives with religion being secondary and hardly mentioned
Joffrey had all the bastards killed because they actually have a stronger claim to the throne than he does, and he can't afford to have ANY possible challenge. That's why Gendry was sent to the Wall, to protect him.

Afcorse afther s4 it gets easier to follow since it is less complex.
i love the hound, he’s always protecting the stark girl in his own way and the way he can. he did it in the last episode of the first season when he stopped sansa from doing what she wanted to do (which punishment would be imminent death) and he did it in this episode as well when sansa told joffrey he couldn’t do something. when she lied, the hound supported her lie in order to keep her safe from joffrey. there is a brief moment when the hound even breathed a sigh of relief when joffrey’s reaction was positive, in the background (kinda blurred but its there)🐕🐕🐕

My personal opinion: don’t try to be more entertaining or a better reactor. The joy of reactions is watching someone authentically experience something we love for the first time. All you’ve got to do is watch and pay attention. Which you’re doing amazingly. Sometimes reactors fall into the trap of trying too hard to “entertain” and start faking insane reactions or talk the whole time. What you’re doing now is perfect. Just be yourself and have fun!! There have been multiple times in Westerosi history that vassals (lords who serve under a king) are dissatisfied by the new king's policies and have chosen to finance a war effort around one of the old king's bastards. Usually, they cast aspersions around the parentage of the new king and claim that he is a bastard himself.
Of course, in Joffrey's case, this is quite literally true. He is not Robert's son which makes his situation even more precarious.
I've watched this episode a thousand times, and I never realized the statues Melisendre is burning on the beach are the Seven.

1. The core thing to remember about Tyrion is that he is obsessed with being loved and respected, to the point that he is willing to even emulate his father to feel like he's untouchable. This means that, although he is the most sympathetic of the Lannisters by a mile and Peter Dinklage's charisma 100% makes him even more likeable, he is still on the villains' side of the conflict, at least compared to the more honorable Starks
2. Jaime was an absolute savage in the books. Even while literally covered in sh!t, he talked a lot of it too, rarely letting any fear show.
Hell, some characters even comment that the dude, even after months of captivity, STILL somehow looks like Westeros's top supermodel lmao

Also the reason that they're killing all of the bastards is that technically Joffrey, Marcella, and Tommen are also all bastards. By eliminating the bastards of Robert (who actually have Robert's blood as opposed to Joffrey who has no Baratheon blood) they are eliminating any possible usurpers. Also I think it's also about pride. If Cersei killed all the bastards, then its about removing all the bastards of her husband who didn't love her. Although I can't actually remember who ordered the killing tbh

The old gods are the ones worshipped in the north and beyond the wall with the treed with faces. The new gods are the seven practiced pretty much everywhere else in Westeros. And the lord of light is a religion across the seas where Dany is. I guess the White Walkers are also somewhat seen as gods too beyond the wall. Sort of

The old gods are worshiped in the north(both south and north of the wall) and are nature based with the Heart tree(cool red tree with a face) being the main worshiped icons. They were originally worshipped by the children of the forest, who were native to Westeros and later to the first men who sailed over from Essos. Later a group of men called the Andles sailed over to Westeros and brought the faith of the seven and fought and defeated most of the first men of the south but could not get rid of the first men in the north. A treaty ended that war and lead to the old gods being in the north and the new gods(the seven) in the south. The seven are one god sort of the like trinity in Christianity, where they are sperate and the same. The lord of Light is a religion from Essos that did have a presences in Westeros but not a very big one.
edit: The Andle invasion of the first men is why part of the kings title is King of the fist men and the andles and why the north is so separate from the rest of Westeros.

Dang how ahead is he, is it too late to suggest history and lore...? He's asking questions with answers but if I just answer 'em it'll sound like spoilers xp if you're already deep in like season 3 or beyond it prolly matters less to go back for this but if it's not too late you should watch at least the first history and lore. The ones after the other seasons aren't as important if you don't enjoy 'em but the first one def helps set the stage as it were. It's like a DVD extra or whatever that comes after each season releases and just gives extra world building since the show has less time than the books but still tries to tell [roughly] the same story
The "Old Gods" are the Northern and Wildling gods (aka, the trees and spirits).
The "New Gods" are the Seven, worshipped in the South (like King's Landing) and they are kinda like the idea of the Trinity, except there are 7.

Yes your spot on. The old gods (beyond counting) are the white trees with the faces who are worshipped in the north and beyond the wall, the seven are worshipped in the capital and the rest of the seven kingdoms. The Lord of light is new to this Continent, with only a few missionary priests, one of them clearly thinks she found the champion of the Lord of light in Stannis Baratheon. I'll guess will see if she's right.
If enough nobles believe the Queen's children were fathered by Jamie, it means succession of the crown goes to the next in-line (Stanis). But since Stanis and Renly are also rebelling, the nobles could choose the oldest male bastard of the late king. This is typically how councils in the past of Westeros, decided succession for some of the Targaryan issues.
