Yep. I always tell people you can be any build you want... any weapon you want, as long as you spec into it, and learn it's quirks... you'll be fine. Like you've shown here, if you're going to go as archer, melee is a good backup for close range, so you're not caught with your pants down in a tough moment. The reality is, it's more of a melee build, with bows as a ranged choice... and that could also be supplemented with throwing knives and other throwing/ranged melee options as well. Good video! I hope people study it and pay attention. We need more archers in the wasteland! Bows are underrated!
I've been using the Auto Axe for four weeks and only now realized from your video that the scientist cards give a buff. Actually clear but never really thought about it :D :D
This is great. When bows first showed up I really wanted to make a mixed archer/melee ninja build, but couldn't quite make it work for me, but I also gave up on it very quickly. I had also been foolishly trying to rely on a sword as my weapon of choice. The gauntlet is probably a lot better.
I now have a full set of Unyielding Thorn Armor. I am looking forward to placing Endurance and Strength Effects on the pieces. I have four Bloodied/ Vital Compound Bows, with various arrows/ effects. I want to push this build as far as it can go.
Any Archer must try the Burning Love with the burning compound arrows. Mine has a permanent place on my wheel. Grenadier sprays flames on nearby enemies. Thankfulky it can be reskinned as well. Best bow in the game.
One of my character runs a low health pistol / bow hybrid build. Because pistol cards are in agility it makes it easy to run bows or shotguns in conjunction.
Hello, you might not see this/ respond to this. I noticed in your mutated party pack video that you said if we left one plan unlearned from each of the list (2 lists) we wouldn’t receive the same Plan again? But for some reason I still have 3-4 items on both list that need to be learned and I’m receiving duped learned plans ?
The video is about the packs on the PTS, those changes are not live. This needs an update and patch on the live servers. The drops are different and work different in the current ones, they just drop randomly there no matter if the plans are learned. nukaknights.com/articles/all-about-mutated-events.html
@@nukaknightsohh okay thank you! I was really confused because I have like 97% of the plans learned on both list and just randomly started getting duplicate learned plans so appreciate the response.
The build is all over the place. Boosting the pitiful explosion damage is silly, its purpose is just to tag enemies which means grenadier is so much better. Science to boost auto axe, ok, yeah, not really needed and it only boosts the electric damage but ok. But then why have perk cards for unarmed melee? In any case, shotgun is better as an off weapon.
It works well this way. Unarmed perks are for the gauntlet which is an unarmed weapon. This works better this way and its possible to one hit supermutants in west tek. Auto Axe has damage boosts with the science perks and through the strength. The perks are balanced between each type of melee. A shotgun is worse, because it just hast melee range and does very low damage while the bow can deal high damage on large distance. Everything in close range can be defeated with melee. Honestly it sounds like your didn't try this build by yourself. It's not comparable to a low range shotgun build.
Yes, you can even go without because unyielding gives us high agility which is the key factor to good sneak. Htd on one armor part also helps to improve sneak.
FYI: The Bow Skin is currently available in the atomic shop: nukaknights.com/articles/atomic-shop-update-27th-august-2024.html

The superhero version of Hawkeye - awesome build
Awesome build idea you don't see every day, I'll need to try this out!

FUCKING SAME HOLY SHIT
Awesome 👏🏻 just build a similar archer/melee after I saw this. Hella fun hunting holiday scorched with the padded gauntlet

Robin Hood Build go crazy
Great build and video to show it to everyone. Well done.

I love using a bow. This video made me decide to try it as a bloody build!
@@nicolemarie86 Bows are awesome. Get an Instigating and you will one shot a lot of enemies
Great build and vid! I might give this a try again!!
Ooooo. I will definitely try this on my archer character

If there is Nuka-Grenade Arrow or bolt exist then I will choose Bow or Crossbow
How do you get the arrow skin backpack?
It was a season rewards, when Skyline Valley was released. Might be available one day in the atomic shop.
I have a B50vhc25lvc compound

You can still get +50% crit dmg and +11 luck as carnivore. Coupled with 212% melee boost I think carnivore might be a better option
@@kanakimura480Not quite the same as 125% sadly…wish carnivore had better crit foods.

not a huge fan of taking a bunch of consumables besides company tea and crit tea or soup.
