I'm extremely happy with my Panasonic toaster. I got the white version of the NB-G110P model and the shape is unique and compact. It's also got a small footprint.
Aside from the size, the key aspect for me was heating food quickly and also not burning my toast!
My old toaster oven used to always burn my toast. Always. That doesn't happen any more with this one!
The toaster has double Infrared Heating filaments so your food heats evenly. And just as important, quickly.
Crunchy toast? Crunchy waffles? Crunchy pizza crust? Hell yes. this thing does all of that and more!
It comes with a removable 9-Inch Inner Baking Tray, and easily removed wire rack and crumb tray.
I like how the toaster is easy to clean. It also doesn't make any noise aside from the beep when it's done.
My other toaster ticked and ticked and to be honest was kind of annoying especially since it also burned my toast!
My top uses for the Panasonic Flash Xpress are: toast, waffles, pizza and oven fries, in that order.
It's also got 1300 Watts of power! pretty impressive for a toaster this size. 😛

I've had mine for five AMAZING, WONDER-FILLED DAYS. I don't know why there aren't like fan clubs and websites devoted to this thing, it's just unbelievable. The temperature/time control alone is so bizarre, I just love it!
I can really feel your excitement! Fans club would be a wonderful idea ;) What dishes have you made with your toaster oven so far?
@@alldayieatlikeashark toast (a lot!), toaster pizzas (on everything including the cat), cheese melting (on everything), reheating pizza, baking cookies, toasting nuts (FAILED! Burned...), grilled cheese sandwiches, frozen chicken nuggets, Trader Joe’s frozen hash browns, omg I’m lost... I’m going through a lot of aluminum foil.
Wow! it's a very helpful kitchen item for you! :)
If I may suggest, you can get a non stick baking sheet so that you don't have to use foil so often and it actually makes reheating and baking easier (and less burned nuts ;) )
@@alldayieatlikeashark can you post a link?
I just got one of these after reading a NYT article about the best toaster. They basically said all regular toasters go bad (uneven) in a few years, even the expensive ones, so they recommended the cheap $30 Cuisinart toaster for its price point and surprisingly even toasting. But they also recommended going for a toaster oven if you want it to last longer. They have another article with recommendations for toaster ovens, and this one was at the top. There was another they recommended if you needed a larger oven, but this one is perfect for me, and it doesn't really take up much more space than a toaster. I love its strange-but-refined lab-equipment style look. It looks like it should cost way more. I love that the baking sheet is not the disposable non-stick garbage that comes on every appliance these days. Non-stick always fails in a few years and leeches who knows what into your food well before then.
I literally just got my toaster yesterday, but have made toast and bagels in it an. both turned out perfectly. I love that the door pulls out the oven rack, so I can easily retrieve my toast without burning myself. I hated my toaster before because I would have to lift the lever to make the toast retrievable, and usually had to reach in and align the bread so it didn't jam against the top as I lifted it. I also love being able to see the toast so I don't over-do it. The bright near-infrared light makes it much easier to see compared to other toaster ovens I have used. I also like making basic no-knead bread that is a pain to fit into a regular toaster, so this will work great for larger non-standard/artisan style breads. This thing ten times more convenient than a regular toaster.
If you get one I highly recommend getting a Umilife bamboo cutting board for the top. They make one with silicone feet specifically for this oven, so you can store non-heat-resistant things on top. It also makes a good convenient flat surface for adding butter/jelly/cream cheese to your toasted bread. It looks like it was meant to come with the oven.
Overall I am very satisfied with this oven. I wish I knew sooner that this type of toaster oven existed.
Beginning of day three, and I've probably used this thing 20 times already. I had forgotten just how big a difference toasting hot dog buns makes in the end result. It has never been practical to do that with a regular toaster. I have made hotdogs in here three times already (I got some lightlife smart dogs on clearance the other day). I haven't quite optimized the dog-cooking portion, but cooking them in the oven worked fine using two of the quick reheat functions (flipping halfway).
This oven cooks frozen tenders/nuggets just about as quickly as my ninja air fryer, although for things like fries the fryer is better since you can have more than one layer as long as you toss it every so often. I think I'll prefer the panasonic for smaller things, though, since it isn't so loud.
How about an update after a year?
@@chriserony I still use it all the time, no changes in its toasting capabilities.
My only complaint would be that I can't always match the exact temperature called for when following the oven cooking instructions for some frozen food, but at the same time I've never had a bad result from just going to the nearest notch and adjusting the time a bit. It's still a million times better than the cheapo toaster oven interfaces. I still use this instead of my air fryer or oven nine times out of ten, and both of those do allow finer adjustments.
I would buy this again if it broke, and I will never buy a traditional toaster again.
We had one a few years ago and gave it away when we bought an "air fryer oven" 😖 Big mistake. Now I'm ready to order a new one. This toaster oven is a gem.
Air fryer and toaster have their own purpose. Having them both is great!
Thanks for the video.
You are welcome!
Awesome review. Love your voice, please make an audiobook. Again, great review man keep it up.
thank you for the compliment! i am actually planning to make an audiobook/podcast. :) would you be interested in listening?
My neighbor just threw hers away so I grabbed it before the garage truck could get it. So glad I grabbed it - these things are pricey and super nice!
Seriously? She just threw it away?? Wish we could be neighbors too! Haha
@@alldayieatlikeashark yeap! They are moving out of state so I guess they didn't want to take it with them and there's nothing wrong with it. Glad I got to it first!

Pretty long review at 10 minutes, but it went by like five minutes, because this guy isn't an idiot!!, which actually qualifies as a big achievement in this day and age! Instead, he's smart and sensible and personable. Keep it up, shark guy.
i appreciate your feedback :)
I really enjoyed your video. Loved your review. Excellent information. Thank you! :o)
Thanks Kelly! Glad you enjoyed and learning something from my videos. Do you cook at home too?
My husband and I have been researching toaster ovens and based on your review, I just ordered this one! Can't wait to use it! Thanks!
@@alldayieatlikeashark For the most part, oat nut bread for toast and frozen waffles. But I love English muffins and bagels too!
@@alldayieatlikeashark No...we used to make waffles, but found these frozen Power Waffles that are fairly clean and pretty tasty!
Kodiak Cakes brand waffles...high in protein!
So far, so good - loving this toaster oven! Toasts bread very evenly! And, yes, sunglasses needed, lol!
@@jenbp1214 3+ years in, how's it holding up??
Panasonic does make a toaster oven with a convection fan NB-W250S. I just ordered it on Walmart. I’ll update once I get it.
how was your toaster oven?
where the hell is the update?
Update time Tikip does it live up to your expectations.
I have this and I love it!
I just got a used white one for $50. Thanks for video.
Very nice! How is it for you? :)
Any suggestions on how to remove grease residue and stains on viewing window and interior of the oven?
There are many DIY remedies that you can do like use baking soda and vinegar.
Could you use this as a substitute for a microwave and a toaster?
Shannon, yes! :)
We've had one for about three years. Very handy and still works well for most things but toast, not so much. The light/dark setting goes from making the bread stale to making it hot but, even at its darkest setting, it doesn't work. Especially brown or whole wheat. To get dark toast takes about 6 minutes. It worked great when new but, guess it is like me. Getting older and slower.
Good review thanks! This helped me with my decision. As constructive feedback, I found that the 6-9 min part of the video could have been streamlined a little. But I still watched it and I love your vibe. And I love your shirt. :)
Glad it was helpful! are you planning to get this toaster oven? :) you can check my shop for more merchandise: www.alldayieat.com/shop/
Would be interested to hear how loud the beeping is. And when you're setting the temperature and time does it beep every time you push the buttons?
I looked at this toaster oven and the Breville mini smart oven when I was looking to buy a toaster oven. I ultimately went with the Breville because it has convection along with other features.
Thank you for watching. I'm glad that this video help you decide which one will fit your preference. :)
Catherine Darcy I was looking at the breville too but since I have a convection oven, I decided to save the money and get the Panasonic for $129.
Could you cook a hamburger in this toaster oven? It doesn’t have a broil function, but it does go up to 500 degrees F. If you could cook a hamburger, what would be the best temp., time, and method? Thanks for this review .
While it doesn't have a dedicated broil function, the 500 degrees F temperature should work well. I'd recommend preheating the oven, then cooking the burger for around 10-12 minutes, flipping it halfway through for an even cook. Keep an eye on it, as cooking times can vary. Let me know how it goes if you give it a shot!
Question: can I bake potatoes in this?
I use a toaster oven for only a few things: toast, bagel, frozen waffles or frozen bagels, frozen home made pizza. BUT can I bake a potato in it? Thanks.
Donna DiFonzo no
I was debating between the Cuisinart exact heat to over this one. Panasonic wins!!
Sure do! For me this is a winner too. ;) How was your Panasonic Flash Xpress toaster doing right now?
@@alldayieatlikeashark I have yet to receive it. It's coming from China. Hope it has a U.S. plug.
Update. I got my purchase from China. Not a Panasonic toaster oven. I got a pair of sunglasses!!!! Not at all what I ordered.
I now have an Oster with convection. When it dies I'll get an exact heat.
Great review. I believe there is no fan to minimize the smell of fish.
Great point!
Say you had a frozen hot pocket. How would you cook it in this? I threw a frozen burrito in there at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, the outside was crispy but the inside was frozen. I thought what these did was cook the center and outside at the same time.
Try 450ish for 10 min ,wrap in foil and cook additional 12-16 . I know this sounds long and drawn out, but,it may just give you great results. It may not even take that long but definitely do the two part foil wrap bit if you're willing.
Cutie !!
The stainless version is a better match for your other appliances and door hardware.
thanks for your suggestion! :)
what can you say about this toaster oven?
all day i eat like a shark I like it and would buy it. However it’s my wife that makes the final decision when it comes to kitchen tools. I make the final decision when it comes to buying tools for my workshop.
@@alldayieatlikeashark You know what, because the entire kitchen is already stainless steel, and due to the quirky nature of this unit, I think the white works perfectly. Gives the kitchen some contrast and it's sure to get all sorts of curious looks and questions, whereas it'd just blend in maybe more than we'd like, if it was stainless steel.
But I'm a freak.
HOW GOOD IS THIS AT REHEATING FRIED STUFF LIKE FRENCH FRIES AND CHICKEN TENDERS?
This is really an oven toaster..not much like a microwave. Are you planning to get one?
Just curious, is this toaster actually made in Japan?
It is made in China.
@@alldayieatlikeashark I was able to find out by digging on the Amazon page, but thanks for confirming! I really appreciate it. I think this will be my next toaster.
I use this to bake banana bread and I don't understand why the light goes on and off. Isn't there a way to keep the light off? Weird. Thanks!
Hi Rand. I think there's no way to keep the light off since it's a flash express toaster. It's one of its feature.
@@alldayieatlikeashark Oh. Bummer but thanks for the info. I was hoping...
The “light” is the heating elements. They cycle on and off to regulate the temperature.
It also comes in black
@@alldayieatlikeashark no, I got the silver one and absolutely love this thing. At night, when I shut off all the lights and turn it on, it's like it's try to communicate with me like some 80's scifi movie.
@@Zero8880 I'm getting the black one. Most of my appliances are black.
Can you cook a frozen pizza in it?
yes, just like the usual toaster. :) what do you like to cook in a toaster?
Quesadillas, a lot of my stuff for keto like low carb tortillas pizza. Also, comes in clutch for meatball subs, and making Frozen Chimichangas crispy but looks like this one with infared can do the inside as well.
Open door? Is there a trick or is mine just stuck?
Hi Monika! What do you mean? Do you own a Panasonic Flash Xpress Toaster Oven?
shark
omg feel so dumb because I now see there was an invisible (to me) tape on each side of the door lol!!!!
Thanks for resounding 🙂
I meant thanks for ' responding '
That $20 toast last you for 10 years though, and only because you replace it. But yeah, nice review. Looking into getting this one.
thank you :)
Yea but the toaster can only be used to toast bread and it makes your bread dry.
I recently decided to replace an old toaster that always burns the top of the bread while the bottom isn't fully toasted, and found a great article in the New York Times where they did a detailed review of toasters, and they said that basically all toasters are not designed well enough to last beyond 5 years. I think the heating elements are the weak link, and pricy toasters are no more resistant to this.
The cheap $30 plastic Cuisinart was their recommendation, because it toasts more evenly than most expensive toasters and is priced good when you know you will have to replace it in a few years. They recommended buying a toaster oven if you want something that lasts longer (and this one was at the top of the list).
Regular toasters do "work" for a long time, but when you stop using them because they work so poorly you can honestly say they are effectively broken.
I just got this panasonic and it perfectly toasted my bread first try. The size is perfect, and it's not a single-purpose appliance wasting counter space.
@@neniugrava Sounds good, man! I personally just got a Ninja Foodi. I can basically cook just about anything with it. I love it, and when it breaks I would happily buy another one, same model.
@@dcabral00 The ninja foodi flip-away air fry oven thing is actually what I was considering before I got the Panasonic. It is just a tad too large for what I want, and I already have a foodi two-basket air fryer that meets all of my air-frying needs. I also have a smaller european-size oven (electric) that preheats about twice as fast as a regular sized gas one, so I don't really care about an oven replacement. If my air fryer ever dies I will probably go for the ninja foodi oven, though.
The ninja oven is definitely a better deal if you don't have a good oven, toaster, or air fryer already. It also looks like you can get an XL version that is more like a real oven, and even a double oven version (their smart finish feature would be great there).
I'm just a bit hesitant to go for appliances that try to be a jack of all trades, as they tend to be a master of none. From reviews I've read the oven is not quite as nice for toasting because the rack doesn't pull out when you open it. I do love their air fryer, though. It's the best one I've used, and having two baskets makes it much easier to get a full meal going. Ninja is definitely a good brand.
I got this purely because it has LASERS in it.
It comes in silver also
@neatrepeat , it also comes in black I bought my toaster a few years ago and it’s been great. I only use it as a toaster and not an oven. It’s been a workhorse and great addition so far. Purchased June 2021. I use an air fryer occasionally if I need to prepare small meals I never use the toaster. I also have a countertop microwave that’s a 4 in 1. I very rarely cook in my standard oven although I do.😊😊😊
Is this oven made in Japan or made in China?
This is from China.
