I fully endorse the teaching experience of the two guest teachers. I am retired, and I started learning Chinese 9 months ago with very little experience except that I grew up speaking Min Nan Hua at home. Listening and watching Dashu Mandarin dialogs and Li Can's monologues were immensely helpful. I watch and re-watch. At first Li Can's neck-breaking talking speed was almost incomprehensible indeed. Now, I can understand quite a lot of the content, with occasional pausing the video to look up a new word on Pleco, or a word I have forgotten for the hundredth time! I am convince input and active listening is the key. Your videos are really good, thank you.

Thank you so much! Great to hear you can understand a lot now! If it helps, you can also use google chrome extension -language reactor, to watch our videos with CC subtitles, which is easier to pause and look up for new word's meaning. Pleco has better translation and more examples for sure

你们真了不起。三个人， 两位嘉宾，但是聊天得很顺利，给老师们时间讲清楚她们的想法，也给她们机会卖弄她们的教育的能力，然后都在合适的时间内，加上不必编辑或裁剪什么还是蛮有资料蛮有趣。佩服！赞！
开始的时候， 我也有一点怀疑《可理解输入》的有效程度。但是老师们越讲我就越认识到我自己用的是一种可理解输入的方法。
比如说，我开始学中文， 我原来收到比较正式的教育。但是，学了几年以后， 我发现到我不知道怎么说“He turned to look" 或 "He turned around.” 然后，我读了一个青少年的中文书，而首先的三张页里面，作者用了"他转头看一看” 或 “他转身过来”类似的说法五次。从那个时候起，我从来没忘过。
从这个经验，我决定不在用什么课本或学校的东西， 只用中国人的普通材料。
下一个，我读了"The Partner" by John Grisham (《合伙人》）翻成中文的小说。因为我已经读了英文版的那本书，所以更容易理解复杂的语法和不熟悉的生词。
我已经说过， 我向中文的摇摆舞音乐的歌词学了很多词，语法，和说法。
人家问我怎么学习中文， 我总说必须每天学了不少于10分钟。每天学了十分钟比每一个星期只有一天学了两个小时好。因为每一天你不复习语言你腿部一点点。
那当然每天学习10分钟并不多，而你不会进步那么快。但是最少， 不会腿部。
如果学学那么平凡的话，最好是你享受的活动。
所以我上下班的时候， 总是听中文的音乐。然后网上休息的时候， 我常常读无暇的小说。但是如果没时间的话，或者是太累的话，我可以放松，因为已经复习几十分钟的音乐语言联系。
“退步” 不是“腿部”。。。 很丢脸。。。
学习，不是学学。晚上，不是网上。 武侠，不是无暇。最后， 练习，不是联系。
这个是我的一个很大的问题。打字太快，没有查看我到底大的是什么， 就接受而送。结果是那么多低水平的错误。
高水平的语法（中国人不是那样说的。。。） 已经够多了。
无语。尴尬。丢人。

Regarding the "r" in Spanish, your tongue has to relax. The conscious part is the airflow, but the flapping of the tongue happens because it's relaxed and behaves like a reed in an airstream.

多听，不停的听确实有用， 第一是多听可以调整你的声调，一般对外国人来说声调真的没有什么点可以锁定在脑子里，多听了你就可以跟中文的节奏align 对其，这样声调就自然地有了。第二是 一直学不会的或者不明白的语法或者词语 听了听了就学会了，你的脑子会习惯中文的语法。我刚开始不懂怎么用把字句，因为我的母语中没有这种语法 很不习惯也不舒服用 把字句。但是听了听了就习惯了，现在别人 把#把字句用得不对或者根本不用 我就会听出来 这里应该用这个语法。所以学生们加油😊

我是一名越南学生，从2006-2011在上海读了本科，专业为生物工程。上个月我考了HSK6。我一边复习一边看大家的视频（特别是Ben叔的找语病系列，我得到很大的帮助）
今天成绩出来了，我不但及格而且4个技能都是70分以上。所以在此想感谢大家。

我把这个视频看了两遍，越看越感觉有意思。原来我学中文的时候也是使用这个方法。之前有几个朋友找我教他们中文，但是要求半年之内要有会话能力等各种很别扭的要求。我当时很无语，也不知道该说什么。再次感谢大家一起做出这么优秀的视频，我学到很多东西！
