115 HP Yamaha Outboard Oil Change ( HOW TO )

In this video, I show you how to change the oil and oil filter on a 2005 Yamaha 115 hp outboard. This process is very similar on many models just be sure to double-check your owner's manual for recommended parts and capacity.
Oil filter part # for 05 115hp: 5GH-13440-71-00 5GH-13440-70-00

Uh maybe next time you might try tilting the motor up and sticking a plastic hose in the hole after you take the plug out then tilting it back down. The hose will fill the bucket.

So if it is half way on the checkered part you don’t have to add more?

If you've already started it and the oil level is halfway after then you're good. Always double check your owner's manual but ya...
