One of my favourite music projects I found coming out of highschool at the beginning of last decade. Found Dave's songwriting while I was experimenting a bunch and felt less alone making music! This new track and video fit so tightly together. Thank's for the continued wonderful music!
Dirty Projectors love that shit. About to Die, Depression, What I See, Gimmie Gimmie. All super fun upbeat tracks but like damn the lyrics make me want to die

Been listening to this (and the most recent) DP-song on repeat. Really like the path Dirty Projectors are taking here. And the new singer is clearly a huge win for the project. Superb voice, great charisma and calmness. Really touching.
Thank you so much! Im from Argentina. You are one of my most fav bands in my story, way. You always surprise and inspire me. I use to listen to you meanwhile i draw, i love your art, all your art. THanks again for actualize yourself and keep on growing always.
I like the self titled album a lot and I think it has at least three essential songs but maybe it should have been released as Dave's solo album because it was so different. For DP as a full band, I agree this is the first exciting song since Swing Lo.
Ur literal right about self titled and that’s a life style is so great too. I felt like this was REALLY good but those ones are good too what a good band
Hmm, I thought the space at 1:30 was interesting and beautiful. Maybe New York could use more "neoliberalism." Some of the most notable buildings in Manhattan are named for companies (the Chrysler Building, Citigroup Center) or rapacious capitalists (Rockefeller Center).
@Johnathan Lo I don't understand what that means, but if this comment is real, I'd really suggest taking a second to think inwardly about why your first inclination in an off topic conversation is to defend fascism.
@@ThreeFontStreet Seems sort of like you're imagining who I am and what my idea is. I'm happy to go over an interpretation of the lyrics if you'd like, which is what I commented on, but to be honest it seems like you want to cast me in a role in a culture war I'm not entirely sure I understand.
It's interesting to look at it from the "other side" of the fascism we're dealing with too. I feel like DP have been about this with the left and right, blue and red juxtaposition of the sides of their album covers. Specifically Lamp Lit Prose and Overlord.
This is officially my quarantine 2020 song, and probably my favorite song of the decade thus far.
Definitely the best song I heard this year.

I JUST LOVE DIRTY PROJECTORS SO MUCH
First song I heard what Knotty Pine on the Dark Was the Night album. Anybody not having heard it, go check it out!
Dirty Projectors loves you too
@@snoozieboi That song is so legendary. Right when I discovered the band along with St. Vincent, Grizzly Bear, etc.
I can feel your passion through your use of capitals. 🤭 I have been bitten by these musical artists, too.

dirty projectors' stuff continue to be, after all these years, extremely refreshing
The shot at 2:33 is the corner of Havemeyer and Broadway under the Marcy Av J/M/Z stop in Williamsburg.
Just perfect. Perfect video, perfect music, perfect mix, perfect aesthetic. Simply put, Dirty Projectors
Love it! Beautiful harmonies and that 16mm cinematography is killer!
The great thing about this song is that even as sweet as the melody and vocals are, the lyrics are rather dark.
JeffersonBrownie hit up Frightened Rabbit if you like surprisingly dark upbeat-sounding music.

A chill day out in NYC with Dave and the gang :) I love this so much!
Their vocal skill is hella underated!👍🔥
Someone please tell King Gizzard to listen to the first 20 seconds for reference on how to use microtones without hurting people's ears

A dark reminder that when fascism comes it'll be with upbeat fanfare.
