Surprised to not see Kefla on the list. The fact they gave her a diaper that can easily damage the legs just by using what should be normal articulation is baffling. Porgunga is def #1 though, the price on that thing was insane, one of the very few DBZ releases I deliberately passed on.

@@AnthonysCustoms I'm happy with it as getting Kefla was awesome, I like those attack accessories, takes me back to the early releases that came with larger blasts etc.
However she certainly should have been sculpted with a larger (but still very curvy), muscular body. I feel what they came up with makes sense with normal Kefla, Super Saiyan Kefla however needed that extra bulk, which I think would have also gave them more to play joints wise.

I feel like matte finish is the way to go (broly look) It gives a much more premium look to the figures. The shiny plastic look is cheap in my opinion. Marvel legends vibe

I mean if the character is wearing shiny armor or it makes since for something to be shiny like a leather jacket then it shouldn’t be matte but they should still give it the appropriate finish unlike ML who are usually just bare plastic now

100% agree with Pan. I had to buy a replacement for mine AND a bottle of model kit lubricant because the arms were so stuff that they wouldn't rotate, instead one of them twisted right off. Usually a hair dryer would do the trick to loosen up stuff joints, but it wasn't enough.

According to a few reviewers who actually have the figure inhand, the color difference is really only noticeable on camera. The lighting and color grading make it show up where, in person, you really can’t see it

I was afraid of that too, but it's barely noticeable, if at all, in person and I have pretty good eyes for stuff like this
Kid Goku and Kid Krillin should’ve been on the list. Their giant bobbleheads and weird lanky proportions looked bad even when they were new.
I managed to make a solid stop motion with the armoured Gohan and Krillin but yeah it was hell to work with

We love the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball figures, but boy howdy have they had some stinkers!😂🤣 In all honesty, my family and I agree with your list, Anthony. We know that it was a hard list to compile. Nevertheless, we thank you for sharing!
I'm surprised you didn't include Android 17(super), Kefla and Gotenks as honorable mentions
kefla shouldve been toward the top. forgot about her. the others are contenders for sure
these are the characters that I expected as wel aside from stuff like 1.0s that wasn't factored in just for being old. I think Hit was pretty bad as well, and the scaling of the kid characters i know bugs a lot of people. i think Majin Vegeta isn't nearly bad enough to be on the list, let alone near the top. 😅
Maybe im crazy but i expected the 1.0 general release ultimate gohan to be here, although the 1.0 sdcc exclusive ultimate Gohan improves a decent amout over the original 1.0
Was expecting Gotenks, Whis, and Xeno Trunks in the list. Either way mostly agree especially with the armour Krillin and Gohan (Krillin I'd rank higher).
As for another list, maybe top 10 NECA figures?

I'll admit, I kinda like the Majin Vegeta and I have Shenron on Pre-order, just because I want a cool Shenron and if I'm gonna get one, might aswell stick with the brand, even if I do just use it as a Statue ... ALL the rest, they didn't interest me before because they looked bad, they definitely don't interest me now!
I had no idea that porunga was so hated. I think its awesome personally, I only spent about 150 on it though. Maybe I would feel different if I spent the full 300

I personally like the best/worst top 10 of all brands. I think something cool would be the worst most expensive figures, cuz you said perunga’s $300? I think prices are out of control in general but I’d like to see what you think. I just got a $90 Godzilla 91 sh monsterarts figure and while I’m a huge fan I just don’t see how it’s worth that much but Godzilla collectors will pay top dollar for anything, I’ve gathered and I think that goes for dragon ball but I’m not a collector

Wish that Premium Color edition Trunks was on the list. I hate that figure with all my heart, mine's head broke upon release, the paint is so ugly and way to saturated I cant stand it, the paint on the face is terrible and he is way to short. By far my least favorite thing S.H. has ever made
Shenron should be eother bendy wire with hard plastic or have pinless balljoints scattered evenly across his body. Only way i see him working as a good figure for both display and play

I strongly disagree with number 6. In camera looks very ugly and knock off like but in person is a totally different thing. I got it long ago for very cheap and grew on me. It is one of the few SH Figuarts that gave me a very satisfactory feeling of having in my collection.

That Broly was such a big let down, I love the design for a powered down version, but reusing the entire lower torso ruined the look so much. It's almost Hasbro levels of bad reuse

Because of the dragon ball legends game, super pan grew on me so I love the figure

Overall I agree with these, except Android 19 who is a pretty great figure all in all imo and SH Broly's legs are a bit big but he's the best out of all the Super Broly's to me
Yea I actually thought 19 was a pre good figure..for a fat character I could tell they tried their best to give more articulation. Should have been Kefla or Gotenks up there.
Perfect cell should have been in there, that fig is just not the right scale, his legs and body are skinny as hell, hope they remake him with a new mold and hopefully some accessories like at least give us a cell jr

Ginyu and Recoom are my two least favorite. Their armor falls off with the slightest fo breezes and their heads barely stay on as well. Considering how expensive both were, I was pretty furious to see how terrible they came out.
Which sucks because Jeice and Burter are pretty great and, despite also being a big fella with similar armor and articulation, Burter doesn't have any of the issues Recoom and Ginyu have.
That's quite strange, because my Ginyu and Recoome do not have the issues you mention. In fact Ginyu himself is my #1 favorite fig in the entire line.
The shoulder pads do come off easily, but rather that than break the joints.
@@InfiniteZamasu Interesting... I wonder what the deal with both of mine is. I've used Museum Mud to fix the issue, but prior to that, no matter what I did, the heads would just fall right off on both of them.
Yea very strange I have no problem with my Ginyu at all other than the shoulder pad coming off if I try to raise the arm vertically.
Ginyu is the best figure for me. Cheap, very posable and widely available for custom fodder and custom saiyan armor (L and XL figure). Couldn't even ask for a better figure. Too bad, then rest of the Ginyu force members were either overpriced, under scaled, has limited availability or poorly articulations. Not as good as Cpt Ginyu himself.
Porunga and Shenron are big, like, HUGE letdowns. They cud have been so much more

I think the sculpt on the Krillin is one of the best they've done, and this is coming from someone who hates ALL Dragon Ball toys no matter the brand. I don't get the "no painting on PVC" part, tho.
Bare pvc is how they always do the skin on these because it acts kinda like skin. Painting half of his faces left him looking shiny and the paint was thick too

theyre worse given the price and times. there should be improvement going forward and in many ways, the older figures did lots of things better.
Aesthetics of that Gohan figure should keep him off here. I'd replace him with the long-haired release.

Bloody hell! That Armoured Krillin figure was bad! [😂😅] I being glib. It should go without saiyan that I 100% concur with Mister Anthony’s Top 10 Worst S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball list. Whilst each figure has its fair share of issues in isolation, price patently plays a problematic factor. Good worst list, mate. 👍
