You make everything easier! Cant wait till I have flowers which is about a decade away :) or maybe some zelly crosses I have flower sooner. Life is good 🌵
Hi, I have a very urgent query. I stupidly plucked off the flowers from my cactus because I read that deadheads can rot my cactus. Is there anyway to save them? I’ve can’t seem to find much information on San pedros. Would you be able to help?
Hi. I have a question. I want to try to make an apple cactus Cereus flower. I will buy a large cutting and put it next to a wide south-west facing window in Paris. But I have read that Cereus are self-sterile. I have a Cereus spegazzinii wich is supposed to be a heavy and easy bloomer, can I use it as a pollen donnor for a larger apple cactus Cereus? Also, judging by your accent, are you french?
Thoroughly excellent and excellently thorough Jerry. I didn't realise that more than one flower could be produced by the same cactus... quite a beautiful display...I can't help wondering about the scent, if any? Is there a typical age that a healthy Peruvianus or Pachanoi might flower? what are the most influential factors that trigger flowering? age? stress? environment? such as photoperiod or temperature? Good to see another video, thank you.
Thanks for the kind comments! Scent is quite strong and lovely. The main trigger for flowering is age, although stress can sometimes be a booster but that means you would put the life of your plant in danger just to get a flower (I don't do that).
I don't do anything to stimulate flowering. I wish I knew a trick that could trigger flowering! It's mostly due to age, also to genetics (some strains or species flower more than others) and to environment/ weather (there are better years than others for flowering).
You need a different flower from a different plant. By different plant, I mean born from a different seed. For instance, 2 separate PC plants cannot produce seeds together because all PCs are the same plant (it's a clone, born from the same seed).
Hi, can I send you an email of pictures of my three cacti? I'm pretty sure there all san Pedro's but one is a lighter green looks different. I can't tell... thanks anyways for your content.
Very good tips on pollination. I like the vegetable bag trick. Thank you for sharing. 😃👍🏼
Thanks for watching! Great channel, very much enjoy your cactus nursery tours. :)
Thank you for choosing San Pedro Mastery. Please turn all your phones onto airplane mode so as to not disrupt the flight-err, I mean, pollination
The funnel idea looks super convenient
Paintbrushes and feathers work well for collecting and distributing pollen 😊
I put a little pollen in a straw & then blow it into the center of the stamin, works a treat
Yess baby san pedro pollen!!!

Do you know much about the famous san pedro hybrids? I found some on ebay like Scopulicola x Huarazensis which is supposed to be the biggest one.
Awesome! Thank you
Thanks for watching! Took a look at your channel - great gameplay!!
@@sanpedromastery6262 Cheers they are my sons videos 👍
💚
love this, thank you so much
Fantastic video love what your doing.
I would love to see a grafting video
Great Video!
Does the São Pedro cactus self-pollinate? Or do I need two different plants? (I don't want to make hybrids)
How many years old will flowering happen from seed. And will the light cycle effect the flowering?
So for example, if you pollinate Scopulicola x San pedro, what will new seed produce? 50%/50% hybrid. Or one would be more per dominant?
Nice channel, man! Quaestion: Does the san pedro fruit is edible?

Cómo consigo hacer florecer mis cactus san pedro? tengo uno de 2,5 m y no florece!

It just needs to be a mature trichocereus to flower

Do you have reputable sources for San Pedro seeds in the US?
How tall are the plants when they start to flower? Do you do anything to stimulate flowering?
It really depends how old the plant is
I don't do anything to stimulate flowering. I wish I knew a trick that could trigger flowering! It's mostly due to age, also to genetics (some strains or species flower more than others) and to environment/ weather (there are better years than others for flowering).
Also root bound plants are more likely to flower or pup 😉
Online it says that you cannot pollinate San Pedro from the same plant or a cutting off the same plant do you know if this is true?
Hi brother. All good?
It this is just to make seeds?
How do you collect the seeds?
I have a video on this :)
Do you get fruit from san pedro cactus
I used the plastic bags on some fruit on my trees but all of them never developed.
This sound like I was in my calculus class in high school, you guessed it I wasn't good at mathematics
Hey man can In contact you? I have some questions considering San Pedro growing
Can you pollinate the same flower with its own pollen?
No
You need a different flower from a different plant. By different plant, I mean born from a different seed. For instance, 2 separate PC plants cannot produce seeds together because all PCs are the same plant (it's a clone, born from the same seed).
Can you cross them with Lophophora williamsii Jerry?
@@danielbrown7968 no u can’t Bc it’s 2 different species
