  • Fly Fish Rockport' own Captain Gibson is back to show you how to tie the popular Redfish Crack style fly pattern. In this video, he ties his favorite version for spooky Summer redfish.
    This fly isn't too difficult to tie and can be tied in a variety of different color ways. An excellent fly to have in the fly box for a variety of species.
    Ingredients for tying this fly:
    Hook: Gamakatsu SC15 1/0
    Thread: Veevus Olive 6/0
    Tail: Olive Craft Fur
    Flash: Dyed UV Polar Chenille Brown
    Body 1: EP Tarantula Brush 1” Sculpin
    Legs: Round Barred Rubber Legs Tan
    Body 2: EP Shrimp Dub Brush .75” Tan
    Eyes: XL Bead Chain Tan
    Weed Guard: 40 lb Mono
