Is this board user friendly for us mortals? Been riding twins and quads exclusively for decades. Looking for a daily driver that can also handle when it gets good and steep in O- side beach break. This board is on my list. Also ooking at Timmy Patterson Stok-Ed, Js Raging Bull, CI Neck beard 2, and a Lost Retro Ripper. All promise same thing. User friendly, stable, and can handle most conditions. Price tags on Boards these days are obscene and don't want to make the wrong call. I already made that mistake last year and now I have a $700 board sitting in the garage. Any input would be great.
You can never go wrong with any Timmy Patterson! Well Reyes himself knows that, and was a Patterson team rider for years. I honestly don't know why he would switch from a TP to a Firewire in the first place?? Hopefully he sees this and answers?? Ive ridden both and would go with a TP anyday, just my preference!
Always love the detailed reviews by the Firewire team riders! Would you mind me asking what size Tiller fin Timmy is riding in his Sunday, and what size his Sunday actually is...? I'm guessing it's a 5'6" or maybe the 5'9"...? Cheers!
I’ve ridden both. Bought the flat earth bc it’s more maneuverable and controlled. The Dominator 2 is super wide so you can catch tons of waves and it’s really fun but not as precise while turning especially in the pocket or under the lip. Hope that helps. Both super fun, can’t really go wrong.
He rides that trailer around home in Huntington Beach because he says the wide base creates extra thrust in weak waves. When he’s surfing in good waves, he rides a more traditional small trailer that you’d be used to seeing in a 2+1 set.
Are the Akita front fins FCS2 compatible? if so, please provide purchase details. Please provide purchase details re the trailer as well. Thanks in advance.
The Seaside grovels on its own if you just stand on the board, especially with your weight further up on the board where the wide point is. The Flat Earth grovels from its ability to drive off its big twin fins. If you want to rip, try the Flat Earth. If you want to cruise, try the Seaside.
@@firewiresurfboards a couple guys have said this is there go to board when it picks up and gets good…. Just picked one up looking forward to giving it a try. I’ve had bad luck with twins backside but I’m hoping this is different…. Although could just be user error

Oh sweet Jesus another 60kg 5'5" midget. These waves, just like Snapper/Greenmount, Kirra, Currumbin, Burleigh, Noosa etc etc ALL BOARDS GO GOOD. You can ride a fence paling and it will go good. How about tell us about the rocker, show us, the concave/s, show us, the vee, show us, where is the widest point, show us, the thickness all along the board ... SHOW US THE BOARD!
A wave that good, you could take a door off its hinges and it feel nice.
Great surfing timmy...
He's one of the most reliably fun guys to watch surf.
@@firewiresurfboards love watching him surf, reminds me a little bit of curren.
Timmy, I have a Dominator 2 and use 2 plus 1 and it performs like you described the Flat Earth working

Timmy's favorite size Sunday is 5'9, and when he rides it as a single fin, he uses the 8 inch Tiller fin.
Which is the best Surfboard between dominator and flath earth? Thanks
Great vid, thanks Timmey for sharing your insight! 👍🤙
😀🤙🏽
Is there something special they've done with the fin box placement to allow twin, 2+1, AND thruster setups to work well??
wow great surfing and great waves. Where in Mex was that?
Very far south. Nearly on the border.
@@firewiresurfboards where exactly ! ?
Will you release soon about the sunday?
Yes... More from Timmy soon. 😎
Hi, trying to decide between the Flat earth and Dominator 2. Any tips please?

Timmy is the best!
He is! He's back in Mexico right now actually.
Short sweet and to the point! 😎👌 Might have to get one of these.
It's a fun one!
How cool, now I want to take my Flat Earth out, but Surfline says the conditions are very poor at the moment. Not just poor, but very poor!
Give it time. 😉 Swell is coming.
@@firewiresurfboards I look forward to it!
Awesomeness cool thxxxxxxx!!!!!!!
What’s the story with that low profile trailer you’re running with the Aipa twins?
He rides that trailer around home in Huntington Beach because he says the wide base creates extra thrust in weak waves. When he’s surfing in good waves, he rides a more traditional small trailer that you’d be used to seeing in a 2+1 set.

The aipia blue fins were can you get them
Pretty much any surf shop brick and mortar or online.
Yeah now Jimmy Jam 🤙🎸
what keel size the Sunday ?
Can you let me know your weight and CL of the board of flat earth?
I keep seeing this referred to as a kind of groveller, so how does it compare to the grovel machine that is the Seaside?
The Seaside grovels on its own if you just stand on the board, especially with your weight further up on the board where the wide point is. The Flat Earth grovels from its ability to drive off its big twin fins. If you want to rip, try the Flat Earth. If you want to cruise, try the Seaside.
@@firewiresurfboards good comparison! Is the flat earth friendly for an early intermediate who can't "rip" yet?
