Hi, I'm 67 years old and I agree with you that you have to make changes in the way you do your eye makeup, but looking at your left eye with the mascara on the bottom line really disguises any problems you consider yourself to have, I actually think you look younger with the bottom eyelashes made more prominent, always love watching your videos x
I agree. I think she looks great with the lower eye area done. She just needs a softer color instead of black.
Yes I agree. We need something to distract from the puffiness and creases under eye. Mascara on the bottom as well as some line does that
@@mariavincenza4711 i agree…and maybe make the line a tad bit thinner. She’s gorgeous either way. I’m going to try this….
Me too. I kept thinking I was crazy but prefer the left eye (the one she doesn't like)
Nope, I think she looks better the way she is doing it.
I see what you’re saying but I really did like your first eye application also.
I have friends in my age group-way over 60, who use dark eyeliner on their lower eye and I REALLY want to tell them to stop but of course I don’t. Great tutorial!
So glad you could stop by Linda!
Great video! I’m In my 60s and I prefer always lining under my eyes, in a softer way then years ago, but it always makes the eyes look bigger. I agree with some of the comments that your left eye looks younger. Maybe natural or maybe part of the technique
I don’t put anything on my bottom lashes & eye area either. My eyes are hooded and anything on the bottom area makes them look small & closed. Loved this video & tips.
Thank you for showing how to do our eyes over 60! I stopped using bottom liner years ago! Love your videos! ❤
I miss the old days when this looked good, but stopped too. We can’t stop time.
Your eyebrows are everything! The color, the shape. I'll be looking for the exact products to get that look. Thank you!
I haven’t done my under eye lower lashes for a long time.
You look beautiful!
I’ve followed your tutorial step by step (literally) for two days now and love the results! For me, the emphasis on blending was a game changer. Thanks so much for posting this Kimberly. I’m 48 but 50 is coming for me and I get lots of great inspiration from your channel!🙂❤️
Thank you so much for this video. I am 67 and enjoy your videos. I have the palette and I'm going to try my makeup as I rewatch the video. A couple of tips I'd like to share with you:
*I've been using the Chanel lash primer since I got a sample. It is more expensive, but for me, it's been the best I have used.
*Before I use my lash curler, I use my spooly and 'brush' my lashes (since product sometimes gets on them and they get funky.
*After I use my lash curler, I use my spooly again to separate my lashes and 'move' them in the direction I want. I follow this with my lash primer or mascara.
Hope these tips can work for you.
Great tutorial!!!
Great advice! We wore our makeup like that in the 80's and 90's. All our wrinkly crinkly skin is a fact now. Thanks for the C&C.
Wow, the difference between the two techniques! Kimberly, your step-by-step eye makeup tutorial is very helpful. You are quite a makeup artist, beautiful result. Thank you!
Wow what a difference from eye to eye. You have such beautiful eyelashes and I will say it again, pink is a lovely color on you. Thank you for the detailed tutorial, very well done.💓
I think what you did looks great compared to the other eye. It does make your eye look more lifted. I'm 57 so I understand. I found that if i put a white waterproof eyeliner on the waterline of my lower lid that it makes my eyes and the whites of my eyes look bigger, bright, and healthier looking. .Love your beauty videos by the way. Your such a beautiful woman inside and out. I've learned alot from watching you. Thanks for all your hard work in these videos. I appreciate it!💗
Your tutorial is amazing but I have to say I really liked your left eye better. I liked the makeup on the bottom. You are beautiful and an inspiration knowing that we can be beautiful after 50. Thank you for all your tutorials and information.
I too liked the make up on the bottom of her left eye. The under eye area looks so much younger. Liner, or no liner, but the lower eye lead on the left eye looks better, for sure.
Me too! Lol
I’ve never seen such an easy and instructional helpful thank you
Love this!!! The only thing I'd change from your current application is to not put eyeliner above your lashes. Because you have hooded eyes, it's closing up your eyelid real estate. I'd just tightline on your water line and in between the lashes like you do currently. This is a Wayne Goss tip. I have the ABH eye shadow primer and love it except packaging lets too much product go to waste. It won't stop releasing the product once I stop pressing on the tube. So now I use Mac Paintpot or Hourglass primer. Both are wonderful and don't squeeze out too much product!!! Oh, another tip is to pinch the ends of your eyelashes once you've apply the mascara to the tips. This will allow you to keep the length but reduce the clumps at the top which can create a spidery look.
One of the best tutorials I’ve seen in a long time. I’m 63 and I have full brows and I’ve been bringing that end down. Well not anymore!! And I don’t put anything under my lower lashes either bc I wear glasses all the time, I think it my glasses really emphasizes my wrinkles. And I LOVE L’Oreal eyelash primer. It works so well for me. Great job! I learned a lot! ❤️
So glad you enjoyed it Liz - thanks for stopping by!
Recently turned 60 and was feeling a proper frump. I've copied your tutorial and it really boosted my confidence. Merci! Xx
Wow, I absolutely love you. I did my eye makeup like you did and the mascara. I can’t believe how good everything looks. 66 years young….. Thank You!
Great tutorial Kimberly! I love the tip about fanning out the outer lashes! And the Stine cold fox is one of my goto Fav palettes of all time! Happy Sunday!
Thanks for sharing! Amazing difference and beautiful look, Kimberly. Your lashes are bombshell gorgeous. The one thing I struggle with is adding no products to my lower eye because my eyes are are small and deep set and I truly need some definition there. I find that tapping (scrubbing) a tiny amount of shadow or liner INTO my lower lash line defines without closing or dragging down my eyes.
I like a lower lash line shadow also. I find it helps define the eyes without over doing it. And I think it takes attention away from my under eye situation!! 🙂
I have smaller, deep set eyes, and I look better with a brown liner on the water line. Otherwise my eyes can disappear. I wear glasses and have more youthful eyes, so maybe that makes a difference.
So nice to see a mature woman doing a tutorial on mature eyes. Great video, beautiful look.
Thank you. Great step by step tutorial. I’m 62 and learned a lot.
OMG, my first thought was, that's too complicated, too much work for my lazy self but the finished look sold me completely. I'm determined to learn this. Thank you so much, excellent tutorial
I will turn 60 in a month and your tips are more than welcome ! What blush and lipstick are you wearing ? Very flattering on you, in my books.
This is a fabulous tutorial! I have started to use brown instead of black eyeliner and use less of it! Watching you, I'm going to stop using any mascara on my lower lashes and I think it will look better. You've mentioned some products I want to try and include.
Your makeup is always beautiful. I have to say I like the "incorrect" eye the best. I love the shadow on that eye. Also, I like the bottom lined and with mascara. No matter how you do it, you always look beautiful when you are done. No matter how closely I follow your instructions, I'm not the beauty you are after I finish.
Love love this video I have watched it so many times and probably will watch it again and again I love it so beautiful thank you for sharing❤
Love your videos especially the ones about wellness. Could you do a what you eat in a day video showing us your meals?
Your amazing I love how you take your time to explain every detail,I'm 54 and I have hooded mature eyes as well,I've learned from you so much ,so thank you so much
Oh big difference between the eyes! Love the color sweater you have on looks beautiful on you! Can you share where you purchased it?
I totally agree about the liner or mascara on the bottom lashes, I don't do it either! Very beautiful look and thanks so much for this video
Wow! Your right looks so open and bigger than your left. Not doing makeup on your lower eye really opens it up. I stopped doing the darker liner now, but have applied a little neutral eyeshadow along the lower lash line for a couple days now and I really like the look. I guess you could say I'm weaning myself off that heavier lower eye look. Thank you for this tutorial.
Kimberly, thank you so very much for this tutorial! I have all the products you used, except I had to order the ABH Eye Primer. It’s supposed to come today! I’m so excited!
I’m 63 , and am also on the journey of fixing my aging skin. You taught me that I could! I also ordered the DECIEM Copper Amino Isolate, at your recommendation, and I love it! I can see the biggest difference in the texture of my skin.
Again, thank you so much ! I look forward to your new videos! God Bless you girl!
Wow you have beautiful eye lashes
Kimberly, I watched and loved your teaching method. It was slow and very easy to follow. I took notes, paused the video, and feel like I can do this!!! Your eyelashes are GORGEOUS!!!!! I agree about the liner on the bottom of the eye. It looks more refreshing without the lash and tight line done. I can’t thank you enough for this video. I will now look at the foundation one you have.
Wow! I was waiting for you to add lashes to your eye. The primer and mascara are amazing 🤩
ive watched u forever. this was hands down the mostly helpful eye makeup tutorial i have ever seen. u just reminded me why u r my favorite
I have watched this video a couple times before and it just gets better and better at first. I thought this is a lot but I love it you’re very precise and every move. I love this video. Thank you so much for sharing.❤️❤️❤️
I've moved from black under eye liner to a much softer olive green, taupe or copper. The olive green is the Nyx Epic Eyeliner in All time Olive, the Nyx Golden Taupe and Beauty Bay Cushion and Antique. Gives a subtle definition without looking heavy. And I purchased the Revlon liner as Le Liner is not available where I live - so far so good!
Indeed! Black is also too much for me. I like the nyx olive green also. Have you tried bronze liners? I especially like liners with a hint of sparkle to them.
Alexa Raine, would love to see that look.
I love the Nyx olive green line. Great color. I stopped using black eye liner on the bottom. I don't know if I could go without anything on the bottom lashes. I might try it one day
@@odalis6177 LOL If I am brave enough will post a pic!! I used to wear olive green eye liner years ago, then movrd to a soft teal, then black. Now I am 62 and have returned to my youthful look lol
@@denisemarie6131 Yes the colour Cushion from Beauty Bay is a bronze coper with a hint of sparkle. ELF do some lovely crayon liners as well - very affordable and good quality. I have abronze, gold and rose pink.
Gorgeous complimentary hairstyle
I have the same brow product. Didn’t realize the brush had two different sizes! 😊
Great advice and techniques! Love to know what foundation and blush you are wearing It looks very youthful and seamless
The dark eyeliner on the bottom actually looks better because if you look close it hides under eye wrinkles. Also men prefer the eyeliner on the bottom. It's just a much more attractive look.
Who cares what men like! I don't wear makeup for men, I wear it for me! Darker colors tend to make the eye recede, so having dark eyeliner all of the way around the eye, makes them look smaller. You want the attention to be on your eyes, not your eyeliner.
@, bless your heart! 🙄
I definitely will be using eyeliner on my bottom eye as long as I'm able to. To me, it absolutely looks better and younger.
Men prefer it?
Thanks for the giggle
Wow... I used to do my eye makeup much like your "old" version. I've had some trouble trying to do it the way you do yours now, but after watching your tutorial today, I think I can finally apply it in the most flattering way. Thank you so much!
Hi,first time on your channel.
I'm 46 but I have very bad hooded eyes already!!!And i have to say your video for me was the best!!!👍🏻👌🏻
And i fell very confident to try it!!!😁
Thanks. 😊
I love the new look, it enhances your eyes beautifully. I totally agree with you about leaving the bottom of the eyes free of liner and mascara, I really feel it ages us over 60 women . Long established practices are hard to break but if you keep trying you can find a look you will love.
But honestly Kimberly they both look beautiful. I do see what you are talking about but you have the most beautiful eyes and those eyelashes, holy cow!!!
Great video. Looking forward to using all your tips
Just watched your wonderful tutorial on hooded lids and I learned so much! I can’t wait to make a few changes. I’ve been doing my make up like the old way you were doing it. You are so pleasant to listen to and I love your humor and not only is it fun to watch you but also quite relaxing as well. I am really enjoying all your videos and they have helped me make better choices with make up. I am a drugstore makeup lover as well. I used to only shop in department stores for makeup and skincare and I’m finding so many good products in the drugstores that rival my high-end make up and skincare. Thank you for all your wonderful tips and keep them coming!😍
You look so pretty, your skin looks amazing, I actually like the first look on you. Really well explained and very relaxing to listen too. Thankyou Kimberly
Thank you, I am going to try some of the products you talked about it.
WOW!! It sure does make a big difference!! Thank You!
This is one of the best tutorials you have ever made. I love all the makeup tips! I am going to use your same technique on my eyes. Thank you so much for this video!!! : )
I used this tutorial today for my eye make up, loved the result! Thank you.
Awesome and helpful video for any age! Side note - I love your ring, its so cute!
Where can I find one similar to the ring you're wearing in this video?
Thank you for sharing a great tutorial for older women with hooded eyes. I will stop using liner under my eyes and see if it makes a difference. 🌹
Omg you have the longest eyelashes!❤ Great tutorial. Thanks!
I’m so excited to see this!!! I have hooded wrinkly, crinkly, and loose lids!
Such a great video! I love all of your fantastic tips. I'm 56 and have hooded eyes so, I am definitely going to incorporate most of these tips. Thank you so much! 😀
Hi Kimberly! Every time I see you do your lashes I'm just amazed at how different they are now!! They are so long and beautiful. I need to remember to use my serum!!! lol
The lash serum is AWESOME! I'm on my 3rd tube and it's made such a difference. At 61, my eyelashes are longer than they've ever been, even in my 20s. I buy the VieBeauti serum from Wal-Mart and save a bit more money, as well.
Mature hooded eyes here. I needed this tutorial. Thanks you. 💕
Thank you, that was one of the best tutorials I’ve seen so far! I fixed my eyebrows as you explained and wow what a difference, going to buy the eyelash primer and eyeshadow primer too. I stopped putting eye liner or mascara on bottom lashes when I realized I wasn’t young anymore 😂 thank you 😍
I’m making notes on the products you use. I get to the store and forget what to look for!
I think I’ve watched hundreds of hooded eye tutorials and this is by far the most helpful !!! I too, have skin that has decided to move around when I try to work on my lids..its like working on a stretched out rubber band 😆 thank you for your time and tips .
Thank younfor doing this. Your hair looks great.
I'm thankful that you are here !
The problem I’ve been having along with my hooded eyes is finding a primer that doesn’t emphasize the lines on my lids and make them look dry… If I don’t use a primer than I have creasing … I swear aging is not for the weak! 😂😉💜
Try Elizabeth Mott one - I swear by it
Try using your concealer. I use Lancôme’s Effecernes waterproof concealer and it makes a great lid and lip base.
Wonderful tutorial...great info, as always...& just loved the tip about the brows & the Rimmel powder w/ Profussion brush!!! Thanks as always 😘
Thanks for sharing this. I’m 47 but my eyes are so hooded and really crinkley and loose. What you did here makes so much sense. Btw, I recently purchased the beauty pie Superluminous eye genius corrector after watching another one of your videos. I love it! It makes a huge difference smoothing things out and really minimizing dark circles.
Thank you!!! You are so gorgeous!
Wow huge difference. I need to try it out. Thank you.
This is going in my saved videos 😊
Thank you- great job ❣
Greetings from Finland 😘👋
Thank you Kimberly. I have always had hooded eyes and yes have always done it wrong and have just done mascara for the longest time now. I need to practice over the weekend and go shopping for product. I currently still have oily skin and another reason I stopped doing my eyes because the shadow never looked good and eventually went away throughout the day. As always thank you for all the information you share with us, I absolutely appreciate it.
I really like the eyeshadow look on the other eye better.
I love the Milano eyelid primer!
Hi Kimberly, I so needed this video. Question on the Primer...does it also fill in the fine lines underneath the eyebrows?
Thank you🙏. I needed this direction. Dealing with menopause is hard enough, I don't want to look old as well!! ;-)
This is a fantastic demo. I'd watched other vids before and had a pretty good idea about color placement but your demonstration is the most thorough. I realized not blending thoroughly has been my biggest mistake The tight lining demo is the best I've seen; when I tried before I was trying to get it on my skin! Selecting the correct color for the transition has been a challenge. I'd been getting it too dark. Also have to be careful to not select muddy colors. Thank you!
Thank you for this tutorial. I am especially glad you showed how you curl your eyelashes. That is scary for me, but I will try it. I can't believe how long your eye lashes are. I've been using the growth serium like you use and my lashes get long and then they just stop. It's frustrating but for the most part, my lashes are pretty long. Thank you so much! You are a beautiful person!
Your lashes are stunning. I like the comparison you show in this tutorial.
I love your sense of humor! Great tutorial!
That’s such a very well done and well explained tutorial TKANK YOU🙏🏻 I will try and my improve makeup with these tips.
Thanks for this brow demo. My own brows are super fine and colorless, so I struggle with products to make them show up on my face.🥴
My word you have beautiful eyes! Thank you for sharing your tips to help us look even better.
Hi Kimberly, I have just come across your video's today. I think you look pretty with both eye looks, but I do prefer the one with the bottom eyeliner, it just looks much younger to me also the under eye looks less puffy if you don't mind me saying. I will look forward to more of your video's..... Stay safe & thank you Regards Samm London UK
Gorgeous look!
I enjoyed this tutorial!!! I have hooded eyes thank you 🙏🏼
What a HUGE difference between your eyes! I used to do the exact same technique with eyeshadow, eyeliner and with skinny eyebrows. Boy, have I learned a lesson in adjusting my makeup over the last 10-15 years. You always do such beautiful makeup for your complexion, Kimberly. Love ya, KIMBER (Your Austin, Texas Sister in Beauty)🤗😘🥰👄💞👄
Another great tutorial 💜
This is beautiful! Can’t wait to try it on my almost 60 eyes! 😁. And I have the Stone Cold Fox palette, so I’ll try the same colors. Thank you!
I had just started lining my lower lash line and adding mascara as seen on other tutorials. Thought my eyes made me look haggard, tired, and old. Now I see why. After watching your video I cleaned up my eyes and look so much better! Thank you!
Thank you for the informative video. You always make gorgeous looks!
Love your channel! I also totally avoid lower eyeliner, lower lash mascara. I used to use a little pale lavender crayon to line the lower line when in my 30's But for well a few decades now I leave it all bare and it really has helped me.
This was great Kimberly! Thank you for the shoutout my beautiful friend! I hope you have a fantastic week! 💕🤗
You're so pretty. I love your videos.
Been watching you forever, love your videos. I was wondering where you bought that neckless from? I love it. Hope your day is wonderful. Thank you💕You’re so good at makeup, it looks like it takes so long though. I wish I had the patience to do mine so well.
Love this video. I am going to watch it again and again when I do my eye makeup. Thank you so much
You are so beautiful! Love this tutorial!
Oh this is SOOOO helpful! Thank you Kimberly! You’re absolutely wonderful!!! I love your channel so much. ❤️
