Hi Mojogrip, Could you make a part 2 of the top 5 twin turboprops, here are 5 suggestions:
1. Turbo commander 760
2. Mitsubishi MU2
3. King air C90
4. Beechcraft duke (turbo)
5. ?
Keep up the good work :D
Great video. I wish all videos were so organized and concise.
Thank you for this excellent video ❤️💎
Mojo is the king of the “Top 5”.
Love it tho, keep it up bra
Informative and pleasant to watch. Well done Sir.
Good video, Mike.A lot of very interesting very informative information.
Thanks for sharing
I learned in a 152 with an stol kit; as if it needed it. During emergency loss of power procedures and stall training, it could almost hover. Forgiving is appropriate though not pronounced loudly enough.
Videos like this keep the dream alive. Thank you!
More to come!
Thank you for your informative tutorial video
Hi nice information . But I just wanna buy Learjet 24d , can you tell me where I can get this ..?
Hey man thanks for breaking this down for us
I learned to fly on the AA5A. Solid.
Hi Mo, do you think I can modify the tires to a bush size tires (approx $1,500 each) ? or, make a seaplane (how much)? tnx Ed A
Do you have any information on the Piper PA-22 Tri Pacer?
Mike, this is a bit off-topic, but I'm hoping you can address this. For those of us who choose to build an aircraft from a kit, is it true that we retain the "manufacturing" responsibility for that aircraft, even after it's sold? Does that answer change, depending on whether we hire someone to help us with the build? In short, is the kit builder forever liable for that airframe, in the event that a subsequent purchaser is involved in an accident, regardless of the cause of said accident? Thanks!
I could watch hours of you just talking about different planes
same here it’s so cool and interesting
hahaha very few channels are so worthy of subscription. Mike is fun storyteller. id buy him beer
Sundowner is 180HP O-360, Musketeer is the 200 HP IO-360, Sierra is the IO-360 200HP with retractable gear.
I like the sundowner , I think it is the better than the other four ..
Is there a used reasonable priced 9 passenger plane for the low
Are these planes safe with modern standards? I've no idea about personal/civilian aviation, I've been engrossed in military aviation.
Only doing a quick search, prices are almost double from what's described
Yea this video was published 2 years ago. A lot has changed since then
@@mojogrip where can we find good price? Thank you
@@Knebelcm1986 Wait a few years
how can i get one in nrb
Out of all these Id want the Traveller.
Coming from a former Beechcraft skipper owner, the perfect trainer in every way, until you need a repair or parts, Beechcraft only produced 272 of them, parts are almost impossible to find, I’d stay away from any rare aircrafts.
💪🏼🥇🏆
Don’t forget the best airplane of all, the Pitts Special.
For inflation and a new year about to start you should bring these series back
I just checked the prices on these planes now, post COVID. All in the 70s. Good luck even finding one.
Yea the market has been crazy since the pandemic hit
Where are you finding these prices? They are way more expensive
Os preços acima é mil ou milhões.
Where do I start my search for a cheap airplane?
Check AeroAvion.com
@@mojogrip thanks bro if your ever flying to Nassau Bahamas let me know I’ll love to fly with ya
Closed captioning please please
Wow... 🖼🛵🇵🇭
Rv -6 👍👍👍👍👍👍
You should come again and do the cheapest aircraft as none not even below $50k..even almost scrap aircraft with tons of hours in A/P asking above $75K to hundreds thou.
What about Mooney M20 ?
Fact: if you look a little hard you can find a 2011 to 2015 with new electronics for under 40k!
My AA-1 with an 0-320 engine beats everything.
"Top 5 Airplanes for $40,000 Or Less"
So anyways, this one is $50k-$60k....
considering, that this is half of Bitcoin soon, it is not expensive
Now these planes are 60k plus
2 years later most of these are double those prices haha
unfortunately
@@mojogrip doesn’t help that supply is low due to many being shipped over seas, crashed, and even more sitting on ramps for years rotting. I think that all plays a bigger part then people think. Yes things are more expensive in general but not enough to justify the market. Which is simply supply and demand
@@rogue8853 why I created airmojo.io those planes shouldn't be rotten in the ramp. The should be up flying. We're almost there Jason
Do you have 2 dollar plane thats all i can afford
time 4;47 cessna 152 this ius big lie cost 30-40K$ normal usa 152 2 seat small shit cost today 4000-20K not newer more. and this have ready to fly condition good planes, olden what need repair and build lot new have lot lot cheapen. 1000-8000$
I will stick to flight simulator

Wow, this video didn't age well. All these planes are about 2x as much now. 🥲Nice vid btw
really ?
Video is two years old. Prices change over time
I just bought a used Maserati Granturismo. Should have bought a plane 😂
I would have bought a plane

where are my posts going? UA-cam wants me to think I'm wasting my time. must have been too much anti-China posts lately hu?
If you wanna go fast, and you wanna go FAST
Are any of these light enough to fly as LSA?
Really good information
Nothing about the Cherokee 140/150/160? Any of which are easily acquired for
Ehh, coming from an IA that used to work on Skippers, don’t buy a Skipper. Especially a high-time Skipper.
Can you elaborate a bit more as to why you say that
That was a pretty good review. Back I the 70s and 80s I instructed in Skippers and Sundowners in Australia. We had two Skippers on the line for basic training, two Sundowners and a Sierra for cross-country and private hire, plus a Bonanza for going places. All great aircraft for the role, but my best memories were cross-countries in the Sundowner. A roomy cab, with just that bit of extra power made it at little more likeable than a Cherokee (not that there's anything wrong with them). We used to plan on 100 kts in them. The Skipper is a delight for scootering around the sky. If you prefer a high-wing, the Cessna 152 is a fun little toy, the 172 is the perfect 'utility' machine and the 182 is nice if you need a bit extra grunt.
good job MIKE
No entiendo inglés, pero gracias igual
Video idea: the difference between IFR and CFR
Hi Mike, what are your views on the free online lessons made available free to all on the Pipistrel website? How can one make the most of it?
www.pipistrel-aircraft.com/are-you-grounded-because-of-covid-19-flight-restrictions-we-have-a-solution/
Nice
max cruise on sundowner is not 170 mph more like 125
That's what he said, max speed was about 170, cruise was 120.
170 in a dive lol
Glad to see a video like your older ones. I think there a lot of future plane owners that love to watch your comparison videos. Keep up the great work and looking forward to seeing a Bellanca Super Viking in one of your videos someday.
Another great video full of solid content. Love your coverage of the spectrum and just thorough enough.
I really enjoy these videos
I guess I'll be buying my own plane in this Covid 19 Era 😆
chutiyapay kerna zarori hai her jaga .
Piper Saratoga is what I'm looking for. Hope your fond one too.
The Cessna C-150 and C-152 are virtually the same airplane. The C-152 has a 2-inch increase in length, a 2-inch increase in wingspan over the C-150, but has the exact same wing area. The C-152's empty weight is 41lbs lighter, and has a 70lb advantage in max takeoff weight (MTOW). The biggest change was an increase from the C-150's 100HP O-200-A, to the 110HP O-235-L2C engine. I wouldn't call this a screaming difference.
I spent my first 50-hours of flight time in the C-150 back in the '70s. Got my Private Pilots License in the same tail number that I first soloed in - a C-150M, the last year of the C-150. Your review of it drove me to watch a few You Tube videos on it, and it brought back fond memories. Thank you for that.
I had a couple of hours in a 152. Prior to that, Cherokee and Robin HR200. Did not like the 152’s instrument panel and old old radio
Something id love to see you take a look at is the Beechcraft Sierra!
Can we see a list of planes that can do over 1k nautical miles in range in non-stop flight?
My M20F Mooney will do it, but why would you want to? That means you have to leave your butt in the seat for almost 7 hours! Sorry... but I'd rather make a stop along the way somewhere to find cheap fuel, grab a bite to eat, and unload my bladder.
Fun fact: Bill Gates, the mandatory vacciner pusher has no medical license.
Hey Mike, I saw you on the cover of Popular Mechanics on Amazon prime! Way to go!!!
Is it me or each year the price just keeps going up
😜 more reasons to buy an airplane. Value usually goes up. $50,000 planes next year lol
Prices are fluid. Always have been. Light aircraft (2-4 seats) are predominately primary training, and pleasure aircraft (disposable income items/luxuries/toys). The prices closely follow the need for commercial pilots, the economy, and fuel prices. Prices for training aircraft, again, 2-4 seats, exploded with the airline pilot shortage a few years ago. Look for the price of these same aircraft to plummet due to the fore-coming pilot glut due to Covid-19 induced furloughs.
Hey, just wondering why lots of USA flying videos refer to mph? I was taught to fly using knots. Just curious.
Instruments showed speed in MPH only for a LOT of years. Then, they showed scales for both. Back in the early '90s, the went strictly to knots. Why anyone still expresses speed in MHP is beyond me. It's also like performance numbers. A 75% power setting is the gold standard as far as aircraft-to-aircraft comparison is concerned.
Back in the day American aircraft manufacturers were trying to expand their sales by trying to make planes more like cars. The “Ercoupe” was a plane that didn’t even have rudder pedals! So, I think that’s why we got a lot of things in miles per hour instead of knots, which aren’t known that well outside of sailing and aviation.
I have quite a bit of time in several of the aircraft you have mentioned including the Piper Tomahawk. A good friend of mine has built and owns an RV 6. Great bird.
I did my instrument and spin training in the Tomahawk. ( all AD's done ) Nice bird as well.
Nice job Mike.

A friend of mine recently paid $14,000 for a Cherokee 140. It had the current panel which includes $8,100 of modern avionics. I posted a video of it encountering a flock of seagulls while landing yesterday. ua-cam.com/video/8TKMR_ZzTMw/v-deo.html It flies beautifully and consumes amazingly little oil. Cruises 115 - 120 mph on 8 gph or less. The engine is high time, of course.
Finally! Mike coming back to basics instead of being just Sling advertisement... not everyone can make a deal to buy one of their planes, and your diverse, fun and informational content was greatly missed
Is this the cuba edition video? :)
Another angle you could maybe do a video about is that you could get a Lancair IV-P for 35k in a 7-way fractional ownership. That's a 4 seater pressurized plane capable of above 500km/h speed.
That's fast enough that you could reasonably beat a commercial jet from London to NY. If you dare fly over ocean :)
Certainly any flight in USA or Europe is doable in such a plane and would in practice beat a commercial jet
I liked and shared this video. It gives all info for a pilot when shopping for a plane. But let's see you do a review on Piper airplanes?
What’s the yearly maintenance costs on these planes?
A little higher than average because they are a bit older
In shopping myself I’ve found a good general budget is around $10 to 12k per year all in (hangar, insurance, etc). Some of these would be cheaper with the fixed gear etc I’m sure, probably down around $5k per year for just maintenance... I just like to pad the numbers so I have enough. I’m looking more at retractable gear ones is why I’m looking at around $12k per year for maintenance alone. Then a bit more for the fixed costs.
The old V-Tails could have made that list.... with an *
I learned how to fly in a Skipper at KPDK. Low and slow (and fun).
Very nice video, very entertaining and informative!
Nice.
Than q so much bro🤝🤝🤝🤝
Thanks Mike. I am working on my wife so that I can restart my pilot training. Hopefully this will mean I can start airplane shopping in a few years.
I love these videos because they show that it's realistic for people to get into aviation for the same price of a car!
Lol, buy a 30k plane (even a really cheap one like a 152 or experimental) and fly it for the recommended ~100hrs a year for a couple of years then come back and tell us how affordable it is :) -- Renting is really the way to go if you fly any less than that anyways - you can choose your plane based on mission which is a HUGE benefit, biggest drawback to that is you might lose the ability to leave the plane on the ground at your destination for long (some rentals allow it, some just charge per night, others just dont allow at all)
You need to factor in the cost of getting a pilot license. DOH!
@@EJWash57 that is true
Thanks for the video! 170-180 is max cruise for the Sundowner. What is it's VNE?
Are you sure about those speeds? Many single engine planes with retractable gear don't cruise near those speeds. Thanks.
@@rgp112750 I thought I heard in the video at 2:00 that the max cruise speed for it was 170-180, but I think that may be the VNE.
"Lightly loaded and at a density altitude of 7,500 feet, the airplane trued out at 120 knots at 75 percent power (2,650 rpm), 115 knots at 65 percent power (2,500 rpm), and 96 knots at 57 percent power (2,300 rpm). The handbook indicates that the airplane should burn 11 gph, 9 gph, and 7.9 gph, respectively, at these power settings."

Guarantee that must be a mistake. 120 mph is about right from what I’ve read.
Can you review the Alarus CH 2000 please.
3:03 butter lol
A little left of centerline...but good looking pilot, I have to say :P
EPIC. He SLAP the plane on the runway, just like I SLAP like NOW
Flight Deck Pilot I was complimenting them lol
@@flightdeckpilot678 The winds are usually a little squirly at Llano. The grass strip is usually more aligned to the wind and easier to land on. I was commenting on how the pilot was left of center because he was. :P I can judge because it was my landing LOL
Mike,
Please make a video on the most affordable (under $50k) amphibious and floats planes.
Sincerely,
Subscriber of at least two years.
I havent been looking at amphibs but the Sportsman 2+2 landing gear can be swapped out for tailwheel, trike, or amphib. The floats ALONE are $49,995 new. Its an amazing plane but that part in particular blew my mind!
@@whoisntwhoisit2126 lots of older planes ranging from the 40's-$70's that can be had for under $50k that are either amphibious or float planes. I've been working on a Republic RC-3 that I've bought as pieces and plan to get it recertified. It'll either get a newer diesel swap or the Robinson conversion. For now I'm just focused on getting it together and getting a way more comfortable interior installed. Also plan to have it wrapped once the paint is finished.
I was looking at the Vashon line of planes but wouldn't get my needs meant for the investment.
Bladen Rexroth - I’d like to see this too!!!
